Got a soft spot for Brighton due to my current FM save.

Shindig

I've got a soft spot because of Chris Motherfuckin' Hughton.

It's about my favourite place in England, so yeah, Brighton.

Lewis

Our Kelv has upset Liverpool again. On Hillsborough Eve as well. Speaking of which, this (http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree/item/1a5e1066-bbb2-464f-9a1a-c03b05ffc127) reads like a spoof:

I was two years old at the time of the Hillsborough tragedy. I can’t remember it happening. My mum tells me about how we went to Anfield to lay flowers on the pitch, but, obviously, I can't have processed what was going on. I have friends who lost family that day and know others who were there, but no-one really directly related. So why do I feel so personally invested? It’s because I am personally invested. I may not have lost direct family members that day, but the people of Liverpool are my extended family. I’ve inherited Hillsborough, just like we all do.

There was a lad at school whose old man was on Piper Alpha when it went up, so as of now I am personally invested in that.

Knockaert fantastic again.

Gotta chuckle at Murray complaining that Knockaert didn't pass even after he's seen the ball go in the net. :D

Great game this. Very tense.

How close are Brighton to being confirmed as up?

Bottled it tonight. Mitrovic is a cunt.

Adamski

That was a cracking game.

Shindig

Well, we've fucked that. Just get over the line, lads.

Magic

Holy fuck haha. We nearly smashed the TV to pieces.

We need 4 more points if Huddersfield win all their games.

Adams’s Spanish is limited but, having worked in Azerbaijan, he believes he can coach better through demonstration than instruction and will keep things simple.

Holy shit what a game. :D

Milan equalised in the 97th minute literally last kick off the game. Brilliant stuff.

Waffdon

Aye, very good viewing for 11.30 am.

Bournemouth conceding three is the least surprising thing ever. Their whole back five is a pathetic mess.

I'm starting to like Spurs. If they reeled in Chelsea, I'd be amazed but they're smacking the goals in.

Lewis
15-04-2017, 05:16 PM
If they weren't going to lose anyway, United should throw tomorrow.

Reg
15-04-2017, 05:45 PM
That's such strange keeping from Forster. :D "Can't do anything" says McManaman?!

Edit- I love 'clean', quick moves like that. Agree with Kiko - Sane is going to be huge. Potential to be top 5 in the world.

3 now. De Bruyne is so good at crossing.

Smiffy

I'm starting to like Spurs. If they reeled in Chelsea, I'd be amazed but they're smacking the goals in.

United do them a favour then Spurs are winning the title on goal difference.

Chelsea beat Southampton
Spurs beat Leicester

4 points.

Chelsea draw with Everton
Spurs beat Arsenal

2 points.

Spurs beat West Ham
Chelsea beat Middlesborough

2 points.

Chelsea draw with West Brom
Tottenham beat Man United

Tottenham top on GD.

Chelsea beat Sunderland.
Spurs beat Hull.

Champions.

Believe.

Max Power
15-04-2017, 06:45 PM
Or we hold Spurs to a draw on the penultimate game of the season to give Chelsea the title despite us having nothing to play for. Everyone round Ngolo Kante's house for a booze up. Lovely symmetry folks.

Giggles
15-04-2017, 06:47 PM
I'd put money on them coming 3rd in a 2-horse race again than I'd put it on them winning it.

Then again at least if they finish ahead of Arsenal they can release DVD or something.

Reg
15-04-2017, 07:21 PM
The most iffy of those predictions might be United winning tomorrow, Smiffy.

Waffdon
15-04-2017, 07:56 PM
Spurs are not winning every game left of the season. Nae chance. Their away form will let them down.

Smiffy
16-04-2017, 12:05 PM
I thought I tuned in for WBA v Liverpool.

We're either losing in typical fashion or we're romping to a 3+ goal win.

Jimmy Floyd
16-04-2017, 12:43 PM
Spurs winning seven points behind is meaningless. As soon as they get a sniff of it they'll fall to pieces.

Mourinho has given up on the top four it seems?

John Arne
16-04-2017, 02:06 PM
WBA timewasting when they are 0-1 down is a novel tactical approach.

Dark Soldier
16-04-2017, 02:06 PM
Mourinho has given up it seems?

Yup.

Lewis
16-04-2017, 02:12 PM
Were it not for Fellainimania it would look like a sensible counter-attacking (and hard-working, more importantly) side. But there he is in the middle of it all, so who knows?

Jimmy Floyd
16-04-2017, 02:15 PM
This will be a ghastly goalless piece of shit. Both managers overjoyed.

Waffdon
16-04-2017, 02:15 PM
Yeah, take out Fellaini and that's the sort of team that would trouble Chelsea.

Reg
16-04-2017, 02:20 PM
I'd argue Ibrahimovic, Mick and Carrick would trouble them more. But maybe Mourinho is resting those three for the Europa League. Or maybe he's bonkers.

Lewis
16-04-2017, 02:20 PM
1-1 with a good Marcus Rashford performance would be ideal, because I would rather see him given more responsibility than have 'Greaseman' and his BOTTLING and his shit celebration.

Boydy
16-04-2017, 02:22 PM
Fucking Moreno. Jesus Christ.

Smiffy
16-04-2017, 02:24 PM
Moreno. :D

16-04-2017, 02:31 PM
I've got Costa running wild thanks to Hazard.

Waffdon
16-04-2017, 02:52 PM
Conte would normally have put Pedro at wing back, so mon the draw it is.

Danny
16-04-2017, 03:08 PM
What a fucking pass

And a massive handball

Lewis
16-04-2017, 03:08 PM
'Zlatan' would have recycled that back into the midfield (handball lol).

Sir Andy Mahowry
16-04-2017, 03:12 PM
Just got in.

The Herrera pass was fucking magnificent.

randomlegend
16-04-2017, 03:15 PM

Lewis
16-04-2017, 03:16 PM
Marcos Rojo would end Diego Costa.

randomlegend
16-04-2017, 03:20 PM

Lewis
16-04-2017, 03:28 PM
You're just waiting for Fellainimania to set them up with a shite touch.

randomlegend
16-04-2017, 03:35 PM
He's going to score with his chest from the halfway line.

Lewis
16-04-2017, 03:37 PM
If Rojo had been on it there he would have just sold the elbow on landing, rather than wanting a bit himself.

Waffdon
16-04-2017, 03:44 PM
Costa should have been dropped weeks ago.

Jimmy Floyd
16-04-2017, 03:57 PM
Who else plays up top? Hazard?

Batshuayi is well below standard.

Reg
16-04-2017, 03:58 PM
Fair play Waff, called it right with the United lineup.

Although I don't think anyone saw arguably a back six, man marking job(s) and a front two coming before the game. That ball for Rashford is a nightmare for them, he's having a great game.

Smiffy
16-04-2017, 04:02 PM

Cahill being a gentleman rather than defending. Classy bloke.

Sir Andy Mahowry
16-04-2017, 04:12 PM
Herrera :rave:

Jimmy Floyd
16-04-2017, 04:13 PM
Mourinho has found out 'the system'. Would have won the cup tie if that idiot Herrera hadn't got himself sent off. The only shame for United is their league campaign is basically done.

No sign of any other managers doing so. Palace was a total fluke.

Lewis
16-04-2017, 04:14 PM
Big Sam could out tactic anything Chelsea throw at him.

GS
16-04-2017, 04:15 PM
In a one-off game, there's really nobody else you'd rather have managing the side than Mourinho.

-james-
16-04-2017, 04:16 PM
Title race well and truly on after Chelsea lose this game and have 3pts deducted for their manager's suit and a baseball cap combo.

GS
16-04-2017, 04:19 PM
Out of Chelsea's six games left, four of them are against total shit at home with Everton away the only vaguely threatening fixture.

There's no way they're chucking it from here, although we'll no doubt be confronted with HYPE in order to try and keep the whole 'show' rumbling on.

Raoul Duke
16-04-2017, 04:20 PM
Big Sam could out tactic anything Chelsea throw at him.

Genuinely a shame that he didn't get a decent crack at a tournament with England. Would have loved to have seen him donning Jogi Low by playing a strike force of Crouch, Carrol and Shawcross 5-0 in the WC final.

Ian
16-04-2017, 04:41 PM
Time to bring on Hernandez to seal the deal.

Adamski
16-04-2017, 04:44 PM
Of course it's back on. 4 points is nothing and they won't beat Everton. Anything can happen.

Jimmy Floyd

If we had gone from 1 to 4 points clear this weekend everyone would be declaring it TITLE OVER.

Giggles

But, MOMENTUM. Or some other Sky bollocks.

Adamski
16-04-2017, 04:48 PM

Reg
16-04-2017, 04:55 PM
United and Mourinho got that spot on.

Gary's having a laugh with that man of the match. Rings of an "I'm cleverer than you" choice.

Adamski
16-04-2017, 04:55 PM
Just looked at Spurs run in and there's no chance they'll do it.

One more win for Spurs I reckon :D

randomlegend
16-04-2017, 04:56 PM
I know he's top scorer, but Ibrahimovic really does make our attack ponderous and that games showed it.

I wanna see us start with Martial-Rashford-Mkhitaryan up front.

Shindig
16-04-2017, 04:58 PM
Is Berbatov still looking for a club? Imagine a front three of Crouch, Berbatov and Ibrahimovic.

Jimmy Floyd
16-04-2017, 05:04 PM
Mourinho will roll over for them if United are out of the top 4 race by then, but other than that I'm sure they'll drop points elsewhere anyway. Also we can still lose another one even if they win all six. I just can't see it. I'd be the first to declare us fucked if we were.

Lewis
16-04-2017, 05:10 PM
United's remaining big games read like a potential Jose Mourinho victory parade.

Jimmy Floyd
16-04-2017, 05:14 PM

And so comes to an end one of the most disgraceful episodes in footballing history.

Just for background: When Gary Rowett was sacked we were 7th and outside the playoffs on goal difference having just beaten Ipswich at home. They sacked him the day after with Zola already lined up behind his back. Zola comes in and immediately changes the tactics to ball possession which fails spectacularly because our players are shit. Rowett got the best out of them by playing to their strengths: solid defensively and fast on the counter attack. And so of course the results plummet.

After we lose game after game, the fans start calling for his balding head around February time. And this is when it starts getting snidey. Club Director and resident snake, Panos Pavlakis (if that is his real name) goes total radio silence on twitter except for when Zola gets one of his rare wins when he suddenly jumps on there and proclaims how great he is and how the fans should stop moaning.

Zola ends up with two wins out of twenty four games and we are now three points above the relegation zone with three to play. To say this is unfathomable is an understatement. The board absolutely wrecked what was a very promising season probably because they didn't like Rowett's defensive style and liked Zola's name recognition. Sickening.

One stat that sums it all up: Gary Rowett got more wins in his first eight days as Derby manager than Zola did in four months as Birmingham manager.

Honestly, could've been worse. I feel confident he'd do a good short-term job in keeping us away from the relegation zone over the last three games. I'll take it.

He's confirmed, by the way.

Would be classic if he took them down.

Don't think Blackburn are good enough to get 6+ points though.

To be honest, I really don't care. After so many shit years under Carson Young, Rowett really had something going with us. Almost universally liked by the fans, he brought stability and results on crap budgets and rejected other offers when people saw how good he was. For the first time in years the fans actually started to care again and now look where we are.

We've traded one of the brightest young managers in the country for a proven loser in Zola and a guy nearing retirement in Redknapp.

It's shit like this that makes me just want to knock it all on the head and not even bother with football any more. What is the point of even developing any sort of attachment when you look at our transformation over the last four months. I just cannot be bothered with it anymore.

Despite not scoring that much yesterday, I actually thought it sort of made sense to play like that for Arsenal.

If they just fucked Xhaka off, got a decent center back for Gabriel and had someone a bit more interesting than Monreal on the left it might work out pretty well.

Tony Adams might prove that one wrong.

Lost all 3 of his games so far.

That Granada side is an utter mess in fairness to him. 16 of their 25 squad members are there on loan.
