Sixteen people you may meet on a first date in Glasgow. More than a few of these remind me of TTH posters

What do we think? Just a bit of fun, I'll start us off with a few easy ones:

The Rebounder The Merse

This poor soul still hasn't got over their ex and they just can't stop talking about them. Either they were the greatest human being that ever lived or, more likely, a complete waste of space that they're well rid of. Either way, that's all you're going to be hearing about all night. Enjoy

The Judge Mert

Some folk just can't help themselves. Usually it's some fine specimen of a man with an still-unused gym membership who raises an eyebrow when you have chips, or casts a snook at your Adidas, as if you've not made an effort, even though he's wearing "smart" shoes from George at Asda. See also :"Oh, I don't have a TV. It's all rubbish" No. You're rubbish

The Waster leedsrevolution

It's easy to get nervous on a first-date and have a few too many sherbets, but this yin doesn't need an excuse to get MWI. They'll rattle most of that bottle of wine themselves, have another one ordered before you've finished your first glass and will be twanging the dessert for shots for you both. They'll spend the night telling you the same thing over and over again or just getting overly-emotional, either crying into their drink or wanting a square-go with anyone in the vicinity. Marriage material!

We should try and get a TTH member on the Channel 4 show First Dates. I'm not going to say who I think the best nominee is because its pretty obvious. Just imagine the scenes when he sends back the steak and the downer opposite him starts getting embarrassed.

The Stalker:

You've made the date, so maybe bought some new clobber or got a haircut. This weirdo has prepared by stalking though your social media and has plenty of chat topics ready about your holiday in Australia last year and that job you left in 2014. Extra creepy points for liking all your Instragram pictures ahead of time. Brrrr.

He presents a damp shoebox with what looks like a raw steak, but he assures you it has been cooked to perfection.

Surprisingly I've managed to stay away from that recently. Embarrassingly though, the lass I've been with the start of the year came to visit Bristol for the first time a couple of months ago (she's in London) and we popped into the restaurant chain my ex worked for (head office and unlikely to be in there at the time as there are 4 of them to choose from in Bristol) and the geezer she left me for welcomed us in and told us it'd be 30 mins for a table (he was meant to be up north. Clearly moved for her) so I burst out laughing and then had to explain to her as we walked out.

Awkward. Yet she also found it hilarious (she left you for that?).

I forgot there was another fella involved, just the flat sign over thing stuck in my head! That's pretty funny.

I had a dream last night where I met John and Alan Shearer the 2nd in a flat in Arbroath. Turns out John looks like a goblin/troll out of a child's book and is also a Eunuch. Apparently it was his own choice.

The Narcissist:

You might not have realised it when you made the date, but this guy is awesome. His car is better than everyone else's, he's travelled more than Gloria Hunniford's handbag and his job is just really, really interesting. Don't expect to get a word in or tell him anything about yourself, but hey? Why would you want to? Just bask in his glory and appreciate how lucky you are to have landed such a catch.

It's not narcissism if it's true.

Is that a visual representation of your marriage?

No, if it was the start bit of sheer joy wouldn't be there, just the pigeon and aftermath.

I'm a combination of The Debater / The Narcissist / Ladies Man tbh.

The Cuck

Painfully adopts another nation's culture despite the fact his ethnicity, accent, upbringing genetics and multiple letters from his family expressing concern .... prove otherwise.

Dude what do you mean, he's very literally technically very classified as an ethnic white in the US National registry of ethnicities.

It basically gives him a proper license to wear pink collared shirts, so shut up.

Mert would be seen as another bog standard wog in Australia.

Have you watched the film Wog Boy? My mate is in Australia at the moment. Such a good trailer.

Vince Colosimo as Nick the Greek in Chopper is also another accurate depiction of a Mediterranean Australian.
