Why is Keith Andrews always the 'Brighton' pundit on Sky? He clearly fucking hates them, the daft twat.
Does he?
Adam Virgo's the only other ex-Brighton pundit on telly (well, Mark Lawrenson's not going to do Championship games for Sky) that I can think of, and he's not very good.

Peter Ward is the one I hear about most from before my time, but maybe Bobby Zamora (he won a poll asking the same thing recently, could have been mainly younger people voting though).

I know everyone is guilty of this to an extent, but managers are probably worse than fans. Chris Hughton talking on sky about the foul that led to the freekick for Pocognoli's goal was brilliant. It was questionable on Murray (I think it probably was a foul) but he just bowled in with "well, it was a foul on March anyway" which it manifestly wasn't, unless playing the ball as part of a tackle is no longer permitted. You wonder if they really think these things, or just have an inbuilt siege mentality/myopia. Booing when you want the ball out having had possession yourself though is fucking annoying.

Our captain and our manager both season tickets at the club as kids, and them being fans fucking shows over the season and in how they've been in general. Wilder was basically crying in the post-match interview. He's been going to games over the last six years while we've been down here when he's been able to. Lots of fans have seen him on the Kop with his mates on occasion when his own club hasn't been playing. When he came in he knew what needed doing.

The worst thing about Jesse Lingard getting that whopping contract in the week is that he is now priced well above anyone who would want him, which means having to watch him for another five years (at least). Did Anichebe accidentally kick the ball whilst trying to go down or was he trying to stay on his feet? He's a fucking idiot if it's the latter, and a bit unlucky if it's the former. Would that have been a red card penalty or is tripping a genuine attempt to play the ball?

That's a great question. He's the most loosely defined midfielder I've ever seen. Can he defend? No. Can he attack? Not really. Is he running lots? Athletic? Not really. Can he pass? He does one or two great passes every game, but about 20 woeful ones for those, so no.
Elneny was twice as good as him today, and Elneny is also a bit shit.
It's funny how Arsenal sort of woke up after it was 3-0. I suppose it's because Ramsey and Oxlade came on with a bit of running in them, but it's as if they weren't realizing they were playing a football game before.

I could sort of se him being a (very, very, very) poor mans Pirlo, and thus be labelled a "defensive" midfielder. He seems to have a decent touch when he gets ages to pick out a pass, which doesn't work in England obviously. If anywhere, these days.
Arsene saw the challenge for 6th and decided it's the new 4th.
He's never been a defensive midfielder. He just kicks people a lot.

The amount of times I've seen us dominate the first 20 minutes only to concede the oppositions first chance is getting frustrating after 4-5 years of it.

We're including him not winning one with the best team Juventus have had this side of Michel Platini, winning one out of eight with his own marginally less bent Milan side (whilst conspiring to win two Champions' Leagues), not following his Chelsea double up and losing to probably the crappest United title winners, and doing a below average job at PSG. His Madrid sacking was possibly harsh, but 2013/14 was there for the taking, and they didn't even break ninety points (whilst again managing to win the Champions' League).
His career suggests that he's somebody who gets the most out of his players by letting them express themselves, but then can't turn it around or refresh things when they inevitably start taking liberties or just start to decline. Sound familiar?

More failure would have been fine. It'd be a different type of failure. IMO it's where 90% of the angst comes from, you can write the script before it happens. It's very, "Lads, it's Spurs."
Now Moyes at Arsenal, that'd be funny.
That twat hasn't won anything since his single title, in 1993. :harold:

Something tells me Arsenal might express an interest in Rafa soon.

Could they not do a whole pile better?

Tony Adams could be convinced from his role at Grenada. Not sure about his suit choice.

Fine. Potchettino.

Paul Schmidthof, the up and coming young Frankfurt manager, is the one they should go for. Guaranteed titles with his modern, pressing style.

Team always chooses to go take a touch, spin and then go backwards rather than pass vertically. Doomed to fail.
The amount of times I've seen us dominate the first 20 minutes only to concede the oppositions first chance is getting frustrating after 4-5 years of it.
I like Wellbeck a lot but he's been absolutely piss poor in these past few games.
Think it might be the end, shame. Will always wonder what would have happened if he'd gone after the FA Cup wins and Ancelotti had come in.
Welbeck has been terrible since coming back from injury but then again what would you expect after having been injured the best part of the past 3 years or so. In a way I could see playing him as accepting that: A) Giroud is leaving in the summer anyway and B) the season is fucked anyway, so might as well try to get him back into some sort of form for next season.
But that's not the reasoning obviously, so I've no idea. I'd definitely like to see Sanchez up front instead and Welbeck on the wing, if he's supposed to be playing. Sanchez is looking like a shadow of what he was 2-3 months ago. But still, he's the one trying to make stuff happen.
And Xhaka and Ozil just needs to be dropped. Maybe there's hope for Xhaka to adapt to the league, but Ozil is a lost case at this point. Oxlade Chamberlain at least brings some intention even if his execution isn't great all the time.

I think they'll definitely look to Germany although I'd imagine it'll be Tuchel or maybe even Nageslmann at a punt.

Let's see how many people I do with that one. Adamski is a good early catch, but the real prize would be a phonics or a Reg.

I've read enough of your posts to know when you're having a chuckle now, Jim. I hope I'd have always got that one actually. :D
I wouldn't be able to tell if Nagelsmann was a continuation of the piss take.
Herman Löafer at Duisburg would be my preference.

Smallpockets making a big noise about turning Barcelona down was good, even if it overshadowed my own statement declaring my lack of interesting in taking over there.

Pochettino. He could never manage them because ESPANYOL. Or, translated, his agent told him Barcelona weren't interested.

You'll have half a dozen twats talking about how Ozil has proven his doubters wrong, and then the loud geezer shouting 'THIS DOESN'T CHANGE ANYTHING!'
Around them, wankers.
