I like to think they picked that Rotherham game for TV as the game they might go down, and overshot it.

Point will more than suffice for us. A win and the title is secured there and then.

Did like the quote the Ramble mentioned.

Brendan called himself 'The Architect Of The Future Of This Club'

Oh and for those that might have missed it, this was outside London Colney today

Italians just can't get enough of match fixing.

John
04-04-2017, 07:07 PM
Emmanuel Mendy hasn't done the rest of the team any favours there. That suggests the eleven who did play were well up for fixing the match and took cash to do so.

Still lolling at that Brent quote. Actually, didn't David Brent have an almost identical line about people coming up to him to say how great he was to work for?

Is Herrera really playing left back? :wtf:

Man united really haven't been very good at old Trafford this season have they? Not many goals at all.

niko_cee

Have they been any good anywhere else?

In other news, Brighton are going up.

Was thinking the same. Actually Rashford has also seemingly lost some of his flamboyance, it seems to me.

Their 'keeper would probably have had that shot, so lol at Ashley Williams (who was great, so why did Arsenal never buy him again?) getting himself banned for three matches.

Can someone explain why Mikihtaryan and Pogba were'nt playing from the start?

Pogba has been injured, Mikihtaryan was dogshit against WBA.

He doesn't suit the left wing in my opinion. He'd be better on the right because he's great at crossing on that side.

I love how David Moyes is the bar all other United managers will be held to account to forever and ever.

Yeah, I was wondering if this was further evidence of his having totally lost it, but looking back at the quotes from the other day you could say the lack of application in training being complained about was as to the tactical side of the game, rather than just being a lazy bastard.

Hopefully Moyes sticks the knife in at the weekend.

I'll take a win after whatever was going on with that penalty.

"Hey, I've decided the penalty I've just awarded ... and you have just scored ... is incorrect. I've also decided we should replay the 1986 World Cup Quarter Final and the 1966 Final. It's the right thing to do."

Typically, they will now go on a great run, leaving them in CL and making it look like some amazing feat which really is better than winning the league itself if you think about it a little bit and it's been like this for 20 seasons as well.

And especially players like Welbeck, Oxlade Chamberlain and Walcott will perform, thus eliminating the need to "strengthen in summer" because maybe Walcott can play as a striker now actually.

So a ref disallows a Newcastle goal from a penalty for encroachment but gives the opposition a free kick instead of making them re take it.

An injury-free Walcott will be like a new signing anyway, especially if you play him through the middle

Speaking of new signings, Hargreaves should be back any day for us soon.

So a ref disallows a Newcastle goal from a penalty for encroachment but gives the opposition a free kick instead of making them re take it.

In the 2006 World Cup qualifying playoff, FIFA ordered a match replayed between Bahrain and Uzbekistan for precisely that reason.

Granted there are no bungs or Arab corruption involved this time.

I did wonder earlier if it would come to that in the event Newcastle didn't win anyway. It's the sort of ultra-basic rule fuck-up that should see a referee quietly agreeing to step back to the Conference for a few years.

It highlights how little the three other officials can say in that situation. Two linesman and a fourth by the dugout and none of them said, "What's he doing?" The linesmen are in contact with him, right?

Awful performance but was very impressed with Beermans debut, looks very tidy considering he only turned 18 last month.

Beerman did look good but he's very slight for a defender. Sammon bullied him a few times, most notably when he hit that strange looping shot past the far post. Bates looked a lot better than I expected of someone Raith Rovers were willing to let out on loan too.

Adamski

Once or twice he outmuscled him yeah but nothing too concerning. Bates was a bit Bambi on ice at times but seemed decent enough.
