Tp. Ho Chi Minh 1730 Hai Phong - BDTV
I genuinely haven't been so buzzed about a game for a while.
Middlesbrough at 12 on a Sunday. Mourinho's right, the FA are shite.
Aw maaaaan, won't get to see the United game tomorrow. :(:(:(

Hopeful we might get a draw after the old midweek football for Leicester but I wouldn't be surprised if we got pumped.

What does it have to do with the FA?
They have no control of their national league.
Okay fine, premier league. I get the feeling they're only in it for the money.

Everton are getting quite close to both united and arsenal now.

They're in danger of not making top 6 at this rate.

Which PFM was he verbally rimming?

He was accusing the players of letting The Manager down.

Such a cop out. Don't need to single anyone out if it's the fault of 'the players'.

18-03-2017, 02:50 PM
The Manager doesn't help himself here putting it down to them being good at set pieces. You had about eighty per cent possession mate.

"NO LEADERS, THERE'S NO LEADERS OUT THERE!!!!"
Obviously Wenger has to go, but I kind of hope he turns it around now. Then charters a plane to fly into 'Troopz' house.

Why?... probably for the reason that you are looking for to the City-Liverpool game.. live football, decent attendance (relatively), big away following etc etc.
As it is, we got beat 1-0 :face:
Nathan Ake must be delighted to have returned to Chelsea to play for their U23's.... he's made 1 cup appearance, has he?
That was a really odd recall to make. Getting first team football in the same league every week and being a standout performer in the side to reserve football.

Phil Bardsley really is a thick cunt. 94th minute, on a yellow and makes that tackle which could have been a straight red, let alone a second yellow.
Prick.
When's the last time Chelsea didn't win? They're killing it.
United's game tomorrow is huge. If we don't win we are not going to finish any higher than 6th.

I don't think so. You'll be safe if you go up. We'd need to add quite a few and clean sheets at home might save us, but Bloom might be planning something big and breaking our transfer fee record a few more times. Huddersfield might be better suited than us as we are.

That Newcastle squad as it is will be pretty firm relegation favourites. Mostly jobbing lower end PL/Championship players with no real star quality.

On paper you'd fancy this Brighton squad to go down, but that's probably been said of a lot of promoted sides and you have to remember that some proper dross is going to stay up this year one way or another. They are definitely well suited to getting out of the Championship, which is good as it's what they're going to do. I've been a critic of Baldock at this level so christ knows what he'll be like in the Premier League. Probably score 30 goals to spite me. That's the hardest remaining game out of the way and no real ground lost. Win.

We're not playing well, especially when Shelvey is out. There are too many players on our team that barely make a difference. We should be able to attract some quality, though, so watch Ashley tighten the purse strings, Rafa walk out and the return of the messiah Alan Pardew.
You've performed more consistently over the season, but I don't think you're good enough to stay up as is. Hopefully you invest, though. Knockaert and March could cause problems, but you'd need to add some more creativity to the squad. You're good on the counter, which you'll be able to take advantage of a lot.
Lewis

Alan Pardew has tasted Wembley, so he's too big for Newcastle now. You would be lucky to get Joe Kinnear.

Watching WBA reaffirmed my belief that every corner should be an in-swinger aimed at the edge of the 6yrd box.... Liverpool wasting time playing short corners, or out-singers to the penalty spot is a complete waste of time. Pulis>Klopp

Also, Bellerin is the most overrated right-back in the league. Can't defend, positionally all over the place and doesn't close down quick enough. Decent going forward, though.

You should have seen the Rostov game on Thursday.
The old van Gaal favourite, Young to Fellaini.
Is this back 3 United's actual thing now?
They're actually a thing.
Why do you think he's changed it? Could be to let Pogba and Fellaini run like the headless chickens they are? Maybe Herrera to a lesser extent as well. (I know Pogba/Herrera aren't on today.)
Fellimania running wild.

Definitely agree it would be a very poor Premier League side as it is. It's only Shelvey, Diame and Ritchie who have ever actually done anything in the Premier League (even that is questionable) and the rest, other than Gayle, haven't done anything to suggest they're going to next year if we do go up. Needs a lot of investment.

I just think it's down to injuries and having better centre backs than full backs.

I think we'd be better off to start Mitrovic next season where we're going to get dominated. Gayle won't do anything unless there's service, where as Mitro is more likely to get involved in midfield if necessary and scream at people. I suppose its only fair to start off with Gayle, though. He's earned a chance to prove himself.
I think Hayden has looked good this season, so he could step up. Our defence would need Lascelles to find his relegation form too.

Mourinho - "Hmm, they've put another tall guy on. We'll go to a back six."
"Well, we've got Carrick, Mata, Lingard and Rashford, we have players who can keep the ball and score more goals, and well... you know, they're a bit crap."
"Nah mate, we'll go to a back six."
It'll still be everyone else's fault if United concede again or lose, even though the team has been completely useless since Mata was taken off.
Rojo for Mata is complete shithousery. Fuck off Mourinho.

Matip booked for standing too close to Aguero. Shit ref.
Clyne, Wijnaldum and Mané are not having their best days today. Often hesitating too much or being one step behind where they should be. Can is actually doing quite well, I think.
And City should never, ever try Touré as a single holding midfiedler again. What the hell was Guardiola thinking? :D

New manager bounce with some players who just aren't good enough to play how he wants them to play to a consistent level I guess.
They need at least 4 maybe 5 first pick players going into that team which is a lot to get right this summer. Especially with up to 10 players leaving.

I didn't see much of the game, but the bits I did suggested City would have struggled against a more compact opponent. The number of times they just let Liverpool bypass their midfield/half the pitch with 1 or 2 passes was crazy. Shame Lallana meffed that chance. Would have been a stonking goal.
I think he should just play Fernandinho in Toure's position. Or Fernandinho and De Bruyne deeper with Silva no.10 where he's probably best.
