I think Utd would be big favourites v Roma. Though I've seen much less of Roma this season than in the last few.
If that was the case it would be on name alone. Roma have been second in the Serie A for basically the entire season.

Watching Shaktar - Celta because I betted on Celta, but they are bottling it.

Oouff.

Smallpockets is a chump, and Dele Alli is the most overrated player in the country.

I'm not basing that on names. Serie A isn't as strong; it isn't as weak as lots of English people think it is, but it's not really close to the PL. Man Utd have improved loads since the start of the season. Roma were second for the last few seasons and were shown up in Europe.

And a Greek side knocked out a Spanish side. One off results don't change overall patterns.

Two off results.

There's quite a few handy teams left in, my dear Little Englander.

It is made slightly easier by draws like Roma vs Villarreal and Lyon/AZ meaning a decent side goes out early on but Roma, Zenit, Fiorentina, Lyon, Spurs, Bilbao, Schalke & Shakhtar are all more than capable of beating Utd I would say.

I have to do this because it happens to me all the time. Soz. Bold teams ALL GONE TONIGHT.

Roma also improved loads since the start of the season especially in closing out games instead of just 'playing well'. Roma and United are evenly matched, whichever one between Ibra and Dzeko has the better day would decide the tie.

Also, Schalke are absolute garbage. Roma, Lyon and perhaps Celta can beat United from the teams that are left.

I'm not sure it's really relevant? I could just as easily say the teams who beat them will also beat Utd based on my argument and WIN.

The mighty Copenhagen will win it though, obviously.

It isn't, no, I'm just a wanker.

Or; 'Ibra' and Dzeko cancel each other out, but Paulp Ogba dominates both matches in his sleep.

Looking forward to getting a Russian team in the draw.

A Greek Cypriot side you insensitive wanker.

If we're going there, then Nainggolan and Pogba can cancel each other out.

So now we're down to the geriatric derby Carrick-De Rossi

The only way that freak cancels Ogba out is by suicide bombing his hotel room.

We'll see, unless one of them meets Copenhagen and are easily eliminated.

I'd pick Roma in a tie against Man Utd, but I wouldn't be particularly confident about anything better than just over 50-50. :sorry:

I hope they do meet though, rather than either of the teams crashing out in stupid fashion against someone lesser.

Not that they should be taken as gospel, but the betting sites have United as much heavier favourites than Roma.

I think Roma would be more than capable of knocking United out, but I don't think anyone would take Roma at evens.

It would certainly make a change from him just sleeping.

I didn't notice Tottenham managed to get themselves knocked out. Alli banned for the first three games even if they manage to qualify for the CL? lol.

I reckon Spurs are more or less doomed to another year in Pot 3 now, although a few things could help them like PSG winning the French league instead of Monaco, and Zenit winning Russia instead of Spartak.

United currently in Pot 3 as well but would probably lift themselves into 2 if they do win the Europa.

I couldn't see them in any pot the way they're playing.

Didn't they scrap that recently or does that only apply to Champions?

Champions of the top 7 nations + CL holders go into pot 1.
