Mon the Falcons.

The Budweiser thing:

Looking forward to people watching just so they can moan about American football. It's part of the tradition now.

Moaning is always going to happen when its rammed down our throats. The university give a wall chart calendar out and it has the Super Bowl on it. No other sporting event is on it. Why?

Too many I hate on both sides.

Just had a 2 hour nap so I'll be fresh for the actual event.

Booked tomorrow off but there's no way I'm pissing about from circa 11.30 until like 4am watching this. I'll record it and watch it tomorrow morning.

The key is avoiding spoiler sources (whatsapp, snapchat, the news, sky sports etc) until I've watched the lot.

Doubt it'll live up to last years, though.

'mon Julio and the gang.

You need to do what Denver were doing to teams last year, which is render the receivers irrelevant by getting in and around the quarterback too much for them to have a chance to do their thing. Patriots aren't covering well enough or getting to Ryan enough.

As DS says though, loooooads of time yet by the standards of Darth Bill and Tom Brady.

A combination of biggest choke and greatest performance, however you want to see the balance. The Falcons lost all the good stuff they'd been doing but nobody else in the league makes the most of it like Brady and the Patriots did.

That's a victory for mental strength.

They did. They turned the ball over and then when they were in FG range to ice the game they let Ryan get sacked and move out of it. Brady was unplayable, but the Falcons were shite in the 2nd half.

Yeah, they dropped off for sure, but it was less them giving New England the game on a plate than the Pats taking it off of them. Not like they ended up with five or six turnovers & the Pats scoring in a few plays every drive, NE still had to work for the comeback.

I was complaining to a depressed Pats fan at 28-3 that I hated one sided superbowls.

At the end, wow. Greatest game ever?

The only thing Atlanta even did wrong was trying to pass, when it was an obvious run play to set up the field goal. That Edelman catch will go down in history of possibly the most clutch moment of a superbowl.

How's that?

Liking NFL is something people pretend to do because it makes them look much cooler, more urban and sophisticated than liking rugby or some other sport. The amount of bollocks I see on social media about it, people who live in three-bed rentals in Balham describing the Miami Dolphins as 'we', is quite funny.

See also people who like UFC instead of boxing.

Probably a feature of London and wanky surrounds. 100% of these people voted Remain.

06-02-2017, 03:31 PM
He's not particularly athletic which will always hit you in the draft. He's also got better over time as he doesn't rely on that athletic ability to dodge sacks etc. but on knowing where and when to throw. Like how a goalkeeper gets better with age.

Happens more frequently than you'd think. TB12 is an extreme example but there's loads of really talented guys that only really truly shine when they get to the pros. And there's loads of examples of guys who were supposed to be great when they were amateurs and as soon as they get into the pros, have millions of dollars at their disposal just decide to fuck it all off.

The process is not even nearly an exact science, no matter how they try and make it quantitative. In the draft, value is all about perception, rather than talent.
