View Full Version : Feeling thoroughly ashamed/guilty

I put my desk up for sale, and this guy who sounded possibly Eastern European or Asian phoned me about it. We arranged a time which he changed by text about an hour later. I confirmed 6pm for tonight and he said thanks.

I've secretly placed an easily accessible metal mallet in the dining room just in case things get tasty. It might be stupid but my family are in the house and I will be taking no precautions. That's my excuse, anyway.

I'll report back if they turn up to let you know whether I'm a murderer or a racist. Or a racist murderer.

To make this a thread, are there any times where you've hideously judged someone/something and been completely wrong?

So you picked a mallet? Are all the forks in the dish washer?

I'd say Eastern Europeans too, but I still reckon they are all dodgy as fuck.

I was gonna go for the claw hammer as it's more agile but I think one absolute donk from a big mallet is more appropriate and can cause more damage say if an arm is put in the way.

All the large knives are actually in the dishwasher and am I fuck interrupting it.

I'm also going to bring them round the side door directly in to the kitchen from the outside because I don't want them coming through my house. :D

Do you think this thread counts as evidence of premeditation?

No because I don't intend to harm anyone. It's more anticipation and wonderful foresight.

Currently spying the road outside from upstairs. Recon is valuable in these situations.

I know I'm a hardman and all that but I genuinely feel like crying. Vidas was one of the nicest guys I've ever dealt with.

:D

I know. I'll never use a mallet again without dreadful guilt.

I really don't see what the problem is. As you get older you realise that having faith in humanity will, at some point, let you down. Stay respectful, but remain cautious, especially with a family in the house. A lot of people seem nice during one-off encounters. He may have just smelt all the testosterone coming from your pits and backed off, instead to butcher a family over a desk lamp.

He was quite a big guy and had an older gentleman with him. It is quite unnerving when they're rapidly firing off conversation in their native tongue but hey ho. And yes, to be fair it was less bigotry and more family in the house. If they weren't in I'd have not bothered.

I'm a poor judge of character all round, but usually in the oposite way. I tend to assume all people are nice, and, well, most are. But I have completely misjudged some utter cunts in my time.

Were people getting wise to the first generation E-Class?

As a bit of a twat I find it easy to be a good judge of character as anybody without a sense of humour is outed quite quickly.
