How on earth is Emre Can still starting?

Jimmy Floyd
25-01-2017, 08:11 PM
Mourinho somehow using his own haircut as a dig/seethe against a rival manager brings back so many happy memories.

Lewis

It gives some indication as to where 'LvG' went wrong.

Baz
25-01-2017, 08:36 PM
How on earth is Emre Can still starting?Sadio Mane's on his jollies.

Coutinho is so much better than everyone else, it's staggering. Reminds me of the first year at high school before you get "set" for PE so the really bad kids play football with the rest and you either put yourself in defence to try and avoid conceding 30, or goal hang to simply try and out score the other team and win 34-23.

Redmond skinning players at will

Jimmy Floyd

You (Liverpool) need someone taller than 5 foot 7 galloping through the middle. It has to be so precise with these players.

Raoul Duke

As if you were one of the good players.

I reckon a 'who is/was the best footballer on TTH' thread would be pretty good. Wasn't Danny or someone on the books of a pro club?

If Southampton had a proper centre forward they'd be a really good side

Maybe he was always crap, but he just had a decent eighteen months (and a fitness advantage).

FOR FUCK'S SAKE, CAN, HE WAS FIVE YARDS OFFSIDE.

Why was he trying to pass to Milner there? Fucking idiot.

No idea why they're taking Redmond off.

Jimmy Floyd
25-01-2017, 09:38 PM
He has a decent finish on him (except when he can't strike the ball properly), but he's lazy and doesn't care.

Unfortunately not. Same junior teams as some lads who went pro and probably should have made more of it but ended up moving out here and using it to fund my education when the dream died.

This would be another improbable Foe victory.

On the books of Ross County I think.

Carragher was pretty brutal on Sturridge there.

Jimmy Floyd

CJay
25-01-2017, 10:27 PM
That was awful. We're so sluggish right now. I know it's sounds crazy but we should have thrown on Moreno tonight. At least he can get to the byline and put a decent ball into the box.

Arnold Trent looks useful going forward.

It's weird isn't it? I wonder if they practice them less than they used to. It's almost like a corner isn't a legitimate way of scoring.

Being the attacking team in most games, they get so many of them that it's ridiculous they don't have a specialist in every side.

People like Chris Brunt, James Ward-Prowse, and formerly Sebastian Larsson for smaller teams are far better.

They were discussing this on a podcast I was listening to the other day. Statistically, there's a 1 in 9 probability than you'll create a chance from a corner and then a 1 in 10 probability you'll score from that chance meaning it's something like 1 in 50 of scoring from a corner. Hence why people don't bother as much anymore.

Jimmy Floyd
26-01-2017, 08:51 AM
That's probably because no one can get it past the first fucking man.

Jimmy Floyd
26-01-2017, 04:43 PM
I've just seen a thumbnail on the BBC of Josh McEachran in a flat cap, and as a result I will never again open my eyes.

Was he atop a penny farthing and drinking a schooner of craft beer at the time?

Presumably the stats were better than that when teams were consistently actually trying though.

That black man up front for Hull was good.

Boydy
27-01-2017, 08:52 PM
This had only just started earlier and I said to my da I can see Derby beating Leicester. Intended to put some money on that and then forgot about it and now look at the score. Shite.

Lewis
27-01-2017, 08:59 PM
They lost one cheat player, the other two have reverted to type, and they fucked their summer business up. In a league where seventh to the toilet is much of a muchness, that is a death sentence (as it was a recipe for success last year). West Ham are having the same problems, but they were not as pronounced last year, so they haven't fallen as much this year.

Jimmy Floyd
27-01-2017, 09:08 PM
Kanté has been immense for us. Slightly tougher role for him as we are on the front foot more and he picks up bookings, but he doesn't give the ball away ever.
