Isn't Tallaght meant to be a proper shit hole?

Mostly. There's a few decent parts but the incidents tonight happened in the ironically named Fortunestown and Jobstown areas, which most certainly aren't good.

Flying home tomorrow. Hoping the Airport, M25 and A13 are sorted. Getting home at 9pm is bad enough as it it with a 2 year old.

Heating hasn’t been on for a week either. Hope we can get the bastard to work, all I’ve read about is frozen pipes on Facebook.

Been great these past two days, but I haven’t been able to make the most of it. :(

Spent a few hours deweeding the patio and then digging a flowerbed yesterday, but somehow didn’t catch any sun. Then today went for a really short walk before going to a 1st birthday party and sitting inside all afternoon because nobody I knew was outside, and they were all happy keeping out the sun cos they’d all be sunbathing yesterday/earlier today. Only saving grace was my wife’s fit mate being there.

Hopefully tomorrow can be spent sunbathing at my parents.

Gonna get rain for the first time in 7 months, so that'll hopefully put out the fires and apparently will make fires for the rest of the year impossible. Thank fuck. If all it took was a little rain, I'm sure we could artificially seed the clouds or something.

They do, the warning system is done on a grid with likelihood on the x Axis and impact on the Y axis. In Essex the cross was in the the 'unlikely but potential disruption' position.

People just read the Daily Mails front page and assume the Met Office don't know what they're talking about if they're not snowed in the next day.

Dublin maxed out at a 9 on the Beaufort scale yesterday. Palo Alto maxed out on an 8. https://www.windfinder.com. So, mildly windier in Dublin. An 8 is "gale force" at 62-74 kph, a 9 is "strong gale" at 75-88 kph. In Brighton, which is the station I checked in the UK, the Beaufort was also an 8, the same as Palo Alto.

Therefore, I am no more of a pussy than Shinners, and only a slightly greater pussy than Giggles. But then again, your entire country comes to a standstill at the sight of snowfall, and the London Marathon last year made news for taking place in 24 degree temperatures, so I still win.
