I'm a huge fan of him in a cult sort of way. When he does TV interviews he sounds like he doesn't understand microphones and thinks he has to shout all the way to the actual viewer, like a grandad from the 1920s.

Yes but it probably makes at least some sense at the same time. He's not demonstrated that he's suited to managing Man City, for instance, as he has no history of coaching attacking football, managing titanic egos, team selections that involve choosing Silva over Sterling rather than whether or not to play four centre-backs, or coping with the expectations of winning every week.
