Simply state whether you're interested and we'll look to get some activity going on the forum. The aim of the thread is self explanatory if you've watched the TV show but if you haven't then simply put, you shall each be placed in a group with other members and set a task. Each task shall require you to work together in a bid to beat the other team(s) before one of you is fired. You will be asked to do things away from the forum, you will be asked to gather materials (all free), you will be given roles although you shall assign these yourselves.
Once the groups have been decided I will give each group the opportunity to negotiate for their chosen tasks if more than one group selects it although not all tasks will mirror the other from week to week as this would be senseless. We live in a modern world where business is conducted on a regular basis and not always face to face. Be prepared for anything.
The next thread will explain all rules and regulations but I shall leave this open until the weekend.
Give it a chance gents. It could be great if it plays out as planned.

Good stuff, Spikey. I can tell you all right now that the challenges will require some effort as it's not something you will get done within a day nor is it something you can run off and do on your own so you'll have time restraints and have to work around one another's working life. You may be required to create something, obtain something or sell something....

You're fired.
In theory it sounds interesting but if the tasks are predicated on real world activities and one member of the team is a lazy bastard, won't it just fall apart?

I'm not gonna lie, anything I can't do from my phone is a no go for me.

If said member is lazy and loses his team the challenge then he runs a higher risk of being fired.

You'll discuss this amongst your group. I won't be expecting too much. Your phone has a camera, I take it? If not, you'll have to assign it to someone else in your group. Need info? Your phone connects to the internet, you can budget, you can still contribute. The fact everyone has different lives and time frames merely adds to it for me.

Nah I'm too lazy and too shit. I'd infuriate my teammates by doing fuck all, and inactive players make the game rubbish.

Smiff I dont actually get what this is? So long as I don't have to put up vids of myself doing mid-90's style self-harm or humiliation, I may be in.
Could you give us more detail, Smiff? Things like how much time commitment, an example of a task, why we'd gather materials, who we'd sell things to?

I'm thinking along the lines of "Group *" - You have seven days in which to take a picture of your local teams football ground and use it to create something of interest. You then have to present it in the best way possible but you have to decide that amongst yourselves. This is just one off the top of my head, I have plenty more but I don't want to give it away. It's not too much effort for anybody in fairness and it'll become clear the moment the first task is set.

Base the tasks around growing the membership of the board.

I figured that would happen naturally given some of the tasks I have in mind.

Then sorry, no :( If it's not something I can complete in front of my computer screen, I'm out. Just don't have that kind of time to run around doing stuff like that, even if it might be fun.

Post an example scenario and how a team would complete it Smiffy.
Substitute sales with likes, views and follows and it is very easy to see how this will work.

Shh. I didn't want to mention Twitter and the like for fear of scaring people off. It's really not much effort.
If it involves having to actually go to certain places I might have to say no, just because everything from where I'm living is a bit of a drive and I don't have time. An interesting idea would be for us to pick an arbitrary topic / product / idea, all contestants set up a new Twitter page and in x amount of time see who can get the most followers or retweets or whatever.
