Jimmy Floyd

Do Nottingham Forest supporters begin every single home match against teams other than Villa, United, Liverpool and now Chelsea with a rendition of 'Champions of Europe, you'll never sing that' ?

What an utterly tedious football club.

Kikó
02-12-2016, 08:07 PM
Benfica tonight at Maritimo and a chance to put pressure on the other lot chasing them.

I'm hoping a decent performance for united tomorrow but we keep failing in the league so I wouldn't be surprised if it's crap.

Samadini
02-12-2016, 08:23 PM
Was definitely a bit of a lash out, but you feel he's been sent off there because the linesman thinks he kicked Lansbury in the face.

Samadini
02-12-2016, 08:25 PM
And how is that a foul?

Giggles
02-12-2016, 08:31 PM
When did that Bendtner shitehawk turn up at Forest?

Samadini
02-12-2016, 08:35 PM
Jesus christ

niko_cee
02-12-2016, 08:46 PM
Isn't that Dummett one specifically not a red card anymore? Aside from the fact it wasn't a foul. Or is a penalty not actually a goal scoring opportunity for Forest? Lansbury should get the same length ban as Shelvey for being a cheating cunt.

Samadini
02-12-2016, 08:49 PM
I'm seething.

Jimmy Floyd
02-12-2016, 08:51 PM
Forest will win and win easily. Pile on it.

Kikó
02-12-2016, 08:54 PM
Turn up for the books so far in Portugal. Luisao is looking like an ancient defender and is being run ragged by Maritimo. They lead 1-0.

Giggles

When your entire product is built around Barcelona vs Real Madrid, putting it on at 15:15 on a Saturday is as bad as that thirty-ninth game in Dubai shit.

Shindig
02-12-2016, 09:00 PM
'sake. Fuck this cunt league.

niko_cee
02-12-2016, 09:00 PM
Surely that Forest player (Assombalonga?) was offside there?

Samadini
02-12-2016, 09:01 PM
It's going to end about 5-1, as long as someone breaks Lansbury's legs I don't really care now.

Jimmy Floyd
02-12-2016, 09:07 PM
When your entire product is built around Barcelona vs Real Madrid, putting it on at 15:15 on a Saturday is as bad as that thirty-ninth game in Dubai shit.

It often seems to be on at that time, gets the evening slot in Asia and morning/lunchtime in Latin America, England is irrelevant.

Jimmy Floyd
02-12-2016, 09:07 PM
Surely that Forest player (Assombalonga?) was offside there?

By miles, and him getting involved in that move was the most brainless piece of football I've seen for ages, thankfully for them not spotted by the linesman with a teenager's haircut.

Samadini
02-12-2016, 09:11 PM
That linesman must be there on work experience. He cannot be serious.

Jimmy Floyd
02-12-2016, 09:12 PM
There are a number of people who may well be impostors in this match, the Forest goalkeeper being another.

Ian
02-12-2016, 09:13 PM
Thank fuck, Reg. I thought we were going to be using that midweek thread until March.

Pep v Conte will probably end up being a handshake and a pint later around the corner of the stadium.

Nil-nil or a wild Auergo appears to disturb the status quo.

Jimmy Floyd
03-12-2016, 12:33 PM
Fabregas in for Matic, bye bye the league lead.

Which one of Kev the Brown and T-bone was it that shagged the other's wife?

Waffdon
03-12-2016, 12:37 PM
Lol at Man City trying to match Chelsea with three at the back. Chelsea to run riot

John
03-12-2016, 12:40 PM
Stones is a complete joke of a player.

Chelsea should really smack these about here. Sane as a non-wingback and Kolarov in the back four will mean space galore.

Lewis
03-12-2016, 12:40 PM
Why do they keep saying John Stones 'needs to learn' when to fanny about in his own box? I'm older than him, admittedly, but I know when and when not to.

Jimmy Floyd
03-12-2016, 12:43 PM
It's amazing how Hazard can go from being a complete waster to comfortably the best player in the league in the space of six months.

Max Power
03-12-2016, 12:45 PM
Looks like another too clever by half team selection from Guardiola. Sane at left wing back?

Chelsea look dangerous everytime they go forward.

Nice to see Reg taking the WDYTOE feedback on board. Top threading.

Jimmy Floyd
03-12-2016, 12:49 PM
Otamendi should have been shown a second yellow for dissent there. Just gone through a bloke like the dirty Argie he is and then screamed in the referee's face for a full minute.

Jimmy Floyd
03-12-2016, 01:16 PM
The curse of professional footballers utterly refusing to use their weaker foot strikes again.

This seems like the best game I've watched in ages.

Sir Andy Mahowry
03-12-2016, 01:41 PM
I know he saved that goal but Cahill is such a mong.

Jimmy Floyd
03-12-2016, 01:41 PM
Given that City have a far better squad than we do (Alonso lol), we're doing pretty well in this game. Just need to create a chance.

Waffdon
03-12-2016, 01:41 PM
Cahill is something else.

Sir Andy Mahowry

Chelsea's defence acting how it should with this display. Two pathetic defences.

Jimmy Floyd
03-12-2016, 01:52 PM
This has been a great game, slightly let down by Leroy Sané's efforts at left wing back but otherwise of a very high standard.

Lewis
03-12-2016, 01:57 PM

03-12-2016, 01:58 PM

A beast all year thus far, particularly as he's spent the last 8ish games on four yellows.

For some reason I fear the arrival of Ian Nacho more than the other City players.

Disgraceful from Aguero, should be a lengthy ban.

03-12-2016, 02:25 PM
Spectacular collective head loss here.

Jimmy Floyd
03-12-2016, 02:25 PM
Aguero should miss months and months for that. Attempt to seriously injure an opponent.

Enjoying Neville going against the "we don't like to see this" narrative. Complete nonsense of course.

Jimmy Floyd
03-12-2016, 02:27 PM
If this was United losing it Jose Mourinho would get slaughtered.

Guardiola was leading the charge with his absolute nonsense sarcastic applauding of the ref. Embarrassing for him, embarrassing for City as a club.

Reg
03-12-2016, 02:33 PM
Good game that. Poor defending in the main but entertaining throughout.

Chelsea's first goal was class. Fabregas.

I thought City's selection and system worked alright first half but Pep perhaps slow to change things once it started going against them.

Jimmy Floyd
03-12-2016, 02:33 PM
Still astounded at Aguero's 'tackle', the bloke's on god knows what a week, his team's most important player by far, but thinks nah actually I'll lose my head and assault this bloke because I didn't get a decision off him earlier, and with it misses the next three plus more if there's any justice. Must be absolutely thick as shit.

Given the week South American football has had you'd think they'd have a bit more perspective.

Lewis
03-12-2016, 02:37 PM
Sergio Aguero is a petulant Argie rat, and he has form for that.

Reg
03-12-2016, 02:37 PM
I'd be surprised if he was thinking about the earlier decision, or thinking at all. He was just frustrated and handled it terribly.

7om
03-12-2016, 02:39 PM
I've always got the impression that Aguero is on Carlos Tevez levels of moron and he kind of confirmed it today. Absolute cunt's trick with that tackle and Fernandinho embarrassed himself badly as well.

Conte donned it and I loved every minute of that second half.

Did he? Not to take away from their performance but Chelsea could easily have been three down after an hour.

Was it David Luiz who Aguero double footed the other year back, an FA Cup final maybe?

Smiffy
03-12-2016, 02:47 PM
If you don't take your chances then you don't score goals. It's not unlucky, it's shit finishing and that applies to both Manchester clubs.

Jimmy Floyd
03-12-2016, 02:51 PM
Amazed nobody's pulled Claudio Bravo up on that second goal as well (unless I've missed it), he might as well have been hugging the corner flag, left the entire net open.

Ian
03-12-2016, 02:54 PM
If you don't take your chances then you don't score goals. It's not unlucky, it's shit finishing and that applies to both Manchester clubs.

I would agree. You can be fortunate the other team's finishing is shit if your defending is woeful but that doesn't mean the team missing all the chances is somehow unfortunate.

The same same applies to having a good goalkeeper, mind. Nobody thinks you've fluked your way through games if you have a brilliant, consistent goalscorer but if for some reason your goalkeeper makes a lot of good saves it's like that shouldn't count.

Jimmy Floyd
03-12-2016, 03:01 PM
What did Fernandinho actually do to get sent off? I only saw him having fisticuffs with his own backroom staff.

Smiffy
03-12-2016, 03:03 PM
Shoved Fabregas in the throat a couple of times and over the advertising board I thought.

Waffdon
03-12-2016, 03:03 PM
Kept pushing Fabregas in the throat before making him fall over the advertising board into the crowd.

Lewis

Agüero needs to be banned for a long time for that tackle.

Jimmy Floyd
03-12-2016, 03:33 PM
It's the first tackle I've seen for a long time where there was a clear intent to cause injury, usually those straight red tackles are just terrible misjudgements or a rush of blood.

Vim
03-12-2016, 03:36 PM
He went in to end Luiz's season if not career. Like you said it's not just a spur of the moment misjudgment, I think this kind of tackle needs to be punished hard.

The top four will stay as it is assuming Chelsea replace Gary Cahill.

Jimmy Floyd
03-12-2016, 08:36 PM
Well we're top with Gary Cahill having played every game so he can't be that much of a problem. Zouma is playing reserves and that though.

David Luiz has been colossal so far, which was unexpected.

Waffdon
03-12-2016, 09:13 PM
Got a tad lucky today though not to be 2-0 down. He's fine against the meh teams but has been atrocious in the two games against a decent side.

Hazard is magical.

Edit: forgot about Zouma - he'll be a colossus with his pace in this formation

Jimmy Floyd
03-12-2016, 09:44 PM
I suspect Zouma may ultimately come in for Marcos Alonso, who you can't knock but he's basically blagging it, and then Dave, whose positioning in a back three is a bit all over the place, will resume hostilies on the left. That will give Cahill a bit more freedom to get lost and kick it into his own face.

Yeah 4 games because of the earlier ban. If you're City and you end up losing the title by a couple of points, do you look back and wonder why your main striker could only play in 31 of the 38 games because he couldn't keep his head?

Chelsea look rank bad whenever they play anyone half decent but you have to give them credit for the results they keep getting. From a passing perspective them seem to be benefitting from a lot of opposition player fuck-ups this season. City really should have put them away yesterday, but the meltdown was fairly lol. As mentioend above, I'm fairly sure Fabregas just backed himself up over that advertsiing hoarding. Could do with Aguero getting at least an extra game :rosebud: but he won't. He is a filthy bugger though. Isn't Antony Taylor that 'Altrincham' one Mourinho moaned about?

Bournemouth had a stonewall pen is the first half not given for reasons unknown.

That ball not crossing the line 100% was hard to take.

I thought it was inevitable when they went to 2-1 but at 3-1 to us we really should see out such games. We've thrown that but credit to Bournemouth, a true game of two halves.

Scoring 3 goals away and not even taking a point, says there's a big problem at the back. But we've known that for some time haven't we?

Or it was just one of them games given we'd conceded just once in the last four. We missed Matip at the back but poor game management if anything.

Has he stayed true to his playing career by giving great punditry about Liverpool but barely turning up when anyone else is involved?

I keep hearing that De Gea was like this when he first arrived etc.

Problem is that I saw him be quality for Atletico before he came over, so it was only a matter of time. I have no base to go off for this new kid other than he loves his haircut.

He is getting everything wrong. Barry should have two yellows, Rojo should have been off. Apparently Martial cant hold Coleman but Coleman can hold him (twice now).

What United are suffering from in these games, rather than the defensive lapses that allow teams to equalise, is the inability to score more than a single goal per game.

West Ham-Man City would be ahead of United-Reading wouldn't it? They seem to pick the all-Premier League games nowadays. Norwich-Southampton might be on, as snore as it is.

Liverpool should get on; that's the pick of the draw.

West Ham and City would be a good one yeah, but big clubs at home to minnows is pointless.
