I've got a day off so it would be rude not to. The entry requirements for my provisional list are >100 posts, and at least one post since June, which provides just under 100 members. I shan't be using everyone in my actual list, as I don't see much point in putting "solid poster" over and over again. If I've left you out I don't think you're a dickhead so don't take it as a slight. Feel free to include anyone that didn't meet my arbitrary requirements.

MY LIST:

7om I used to not like him because I thought he didn't like me on the old board (probably didn't give a shit either way), but I like him now. Bonus points for once agreeing with my assessments of wrestling podcasts.

Adamski I made one passing comment that implied he was an idiot for not getting sarcasm and he's since made about 8 random digs at me, usually in random threads apropos of nothing. Still think he's a solid enough poster, but wind it in a bit mate.

Andy Mahowry I feel bad for Mahow really. When he talks about his social anxiety and some of his quite frankly demented behaviour I sort of see what I would have been had my teenage neuroses grown. To some extent, the fact mine went away was luck, but I still think you can do more to help yourself. Dangerously close to fuckwitted "pull yourself together" attitude, but you really can make a difference. My main advice would be to just force yourself to do stuff you don't want to do, and eventually it'll feel less shit. And stop going on fucking camgirl sites.

Angelsaint Legitimately the worst poster on any forum I've ever been on.

Baz One of my favourites. A genuinely funny guy who doesn't take himself seriously, which is a breath of fucking fresh air when this place strays too close to a shit "Grumpy Old Men" tribute act. Why the fuck was he banned for years when cunts like Harold lasted so long?

Boydy One of my faves, was delighted when I used my stalker skills to find him on facebook, and more so when he accepted my friend request. Bit annoyed that he's refused to go for a pint with me when he's in London because he's scared of his real life mates finding out and taking the piss.

bruhnaldo Gets far more shit than he deserves. Seems like a decent guy, albeit a bit nuts. I find his slightly weird posting style funny rather than annoying.

Chrissy Sensational anecdote about getting cuckolded by his dad or something. His posts read like a particularly bleak sitcom, so I'm obviously a fan.

Cord A funny guy.

Dan Is he the dirty greb who likes wrestling and pokemon? Seems alright.

Dark Soldier A really top bloke. Love his approach to dating - vividly remember him angrily telling someone off for having standards, and saying
they should just fuck anyone who is interested in them. It was a while ago, but I thought him opening up about his personal life around the time of the general election was some of the absolute best stuff I've read on the board.

Davgooner Lives in Rugby, and has never made any attempt to arrange a meet up for some jagerbombs at spoons and some disco dancing at Boutique & The Beach. Prick.

dino A bit jealous of his slightly surreal life. Found him on facebook once and we have a mutual friend. All I'll say is fair play if you shagged her.

Disco Don't have much to say about the guy, but like him enough to not want to leave him off my list. I'm a fan.

Giggles A fucking mental old man who thinks spaghetti is pretentious. Capable of being very funny at times, such as his demand for Boydy's cute cat getting a fucking bullet, though I'm not sure how intentional it is.

GS I disagree with everything he thinks and believes but he's clever enough and funny enough that I respect him anyway. His WWE werewolf write-ups on the old place were stunning (that was you, right?). Wish he'd post more.

Hammer Love reading about his crazy life.

Henry Seems a bit autistic but I generally agree with his loony left opinions.

Ian A good egg, but a prick for not playing worms anymore.

ItalAussie If John is the teacher who gets his kids to behave by screaming and throwing chalk at them, ItalAussie is the teacher who does it by treating them like adults, giving the occasional withering look and getting the troubled kid to wait behind to ask them if they're having problems in their home life.

Jeet I struggle to believe he's a real person at times, his posts read like a really bad twitter bot.

Jimmy Floyd Just an excellent poster. I steal all his cricket opinions and present them as my own in real life.

John Capable of being a very good poster, but his Malcolm Tucker act would be more effective if it was reserved for times it was actually warranted, and if he didn't go off the handle for trivial reasons all the time. Excellent in the Fifa and FM threads.

Kikó Shit, I just remembered the meet. I can't go now because it clashes with my work xmas party, sorry!

Lee RIP

leedsrevolution A fucking lunatic, and sometimes I'm terrified by having him added as a friend on facebook, but I like him a lot. Bonus points for recommending Uncertain Smile by The The, which is a quality song.

Lewis I used to genuinely hate Lewis, but now I'm older and wiser I realise I was just being a spaz. He's obviously very good and very funny, and was absolutely right when he repeatedly told me to basically stop being a pussy.

Magic He frightens me sometimes but I'm a massive fan, obviously. He humours me when I talk bollocks to him on facebook, and his interest in niche porn and gore makes me feel like less of a pervert, so thanks for that.

Max Power A good poster, and very good in the cricket thread.

Mert The fact that he was quite good in that thread about some blokes trying to blow up Turkey or whatever it was makes it more frustrating that he's such a wanker most of the time.

mikem Isn't he an old American ex-soldier or something? Offered unique insights into the US election, and it is always good to have an interesting mix of people on here.

mo Seems like the happiest bloke ever, I really enjoy reading his posts.

mokbull A fucking lunatic. I get the impression he was a massive irritant on the old place, but I really like him. Has a similar approach to life as me I think.

Pepe When I started posting here I swear that every single one of his posts were just a smiley face and I couldn't understand why everyone thought he was so great, but now he actually posts sentences and stuff I think he's alright.

phonics Our Lord and saviour. I like him.

Pleb A fucking mental case.

Reg I like him, and I think he gets undeserved stick for his tactics truck stuff. I don't know how anyone can like football that much though.

Sam Best avatar on the board

Shindig Top guy. Also really sorry to hear about your family member's illness. Fuck cancer, indeed.

Smiffy Sometimes I think he gets so much undeserved stick, but then I'll read a demented essay of a post he's made in reply to it and just think what the fuck are you doing, I do like him though, and think he's possibly the best FM poster we've got on here.

Spoonsky Very interesting guy, but a bit self-conscious and self-aware, but that's probably just his age (sorry).

The Merse I like Merse, but the sub-genres are a bit much. Feel free to say a group is "post-mathcore" and that you're in a scene, but you're still just watching a crap band with some idiots.

Waffdon A nihilist like mokkers, but too working class to do anything that interesting with it. Though I did think that tattoo was one of the funniest things I've seen on here for ages.

wullie Funny guy, fancy a pint in the Litten Tree, mate?

Yevrah Wish he'd post more often.

Sorry for being so positive, but I just don't hate many of you enough to cut fiery heel promos.

I'm also sorry for constantly veering between 2nd and 3rd person.

Well in lads.

I'm sure you're going to get amazing entries after this and the awards, Igor.

AD ― Always good value whenever he posts. Went through a spell of being a lot more open about his real life but that seems to have curtailed a bit now, which is a shame but at least he does still post. No doubt I’ll wanna shoot myself (or him) for not getting on his Billericay to win the Ismathian tip, but we’ll see.
Adamski ― Seemed like he had a bit of a chip on his shoulder when he first started posting more but that’s definitely subsided now and he’s quickly become one of the better contributors on here. Still likes to antagonise now and then but now mostly when it’s deserved, so he’s good to have on side. Generally really helpful too, so thanks a lot.
Alan Shearer The 2nd ― I couldn’t tell you much about him other than he likes cars, is quick to snap at people, and has a hilarious avatar.
Alex ― Always been a firm favourite of mine, and I can see Spoonsky has a similar affection for him in the Hip-Hop thread, which is more than understandable. His knowledge is undeniably amazing and his passion for rap will never go away. Elsewhere, he’s my X-Files compadre but needs to hit it harder because I’m in season nine now and I think he’s still in six. Has John “best thing about the show” Doggett even turned up yet? C’mon! But yeah, Alex is good.
Amigo ― Gylfi could have netted me a nice sum had he scored a few more in the Euros. Instead, you score low. Mostly because he doesn’t post anymore, obviously.
Andy ― I see him post more on Twitter than he does on here, which is a shame because he’s always been one of the respected football geezers, along with the likes of Davgooner, Kiko and Mellin, but he still posts about Southampton every so often in the weekend football threads and I like that he doesn’t just post and scurry off (like some) and actually interacts with others when they ask him genuine questions about where he sees the club going. Does well to stay so positive, really, but it’s understandable when you consider how long he’s been following them and how bad times have been over that period. But yeah good poster who should post more.
Angelsaint ― Posts very rarely and when he does it’s absolute nonsense or 100% trolling. We’d honestly be better off swapping him out and letting Harold back.
Bam ― Must browse more than his posting suggests because whenever someone mentions him he’ll pop up with perfect comic timing and moop. I’ve never had a problem with him, and really do wish he’d post more.
Baz ― The virgin surgeon.
Bernanke ― He’s good. I remember saying in the past I wished he posted more, or ventured out the Hip-Hop thread more (although that may have been lynskey) but now he’s posting good stuff all over the place. A good contributor, definitely.
Blitz ― I made the list from people who had posted in the past six months. Turns out this guy posts very rarely and only in the cricket thread so I’ve never seen him before, but hopefully those who do read the cricket thread can give us some feedback on whether he’s worth inviting out into the wild.
Bob Sacamano ― I know he’s an old-timer back with a new name but I don’t know who and truth-be-told I don’t really recall him posting much.
Boydy ― Has always been a bit mopey, and a few months ago seemed to be really down about general life, but lately he seems to be on the up and contributes well on here. A few others know a lot more about his personal life than me, but those who do seem keen to offer him helpful and honest advice. That’s what TTH is for for a lot of a people, and it’s always nice to see.
Browning ― I don’t even care that he only posts in the Pokemon and Wrestling threads, because he absolutely adores Pokemon and it’s great to read about it. KUTGW. Although I guess it would be nice if he branched out a bit more.
bruhnaldo ― He’s great. Honestly one of my favourite posters. Sometimes he’s funny, sometimes he’s quite withdrawn and melancholic, other times he’s sorta half way, but he’s always himself and I like that. He’s good in the Fantasy NFL thread too, which helps keep me interested because I don’t really know what I’m doing in there half the time.
Byron ― He’s great. General opinion of him on here seems a bit mixed, if I’m honest, but I think he posts well and often enough to be considered one of the better contributors we have. I’m excited that he’s just got the new Pokemon too so eagerly await an influx of tales about his journey, because I’m a proper sad nerd.
Chrissy ― Only posts to promote himself, which is even worse when you remember he only used to post to mope about his non-existent lovelife. Gimme strength, man. It’s especially annoying when on FM-Base he’s lauded over being some master FM tactician, yet we get none of that over here. We’re still an FM forum at heart, aren’t we? Or have we recategorised ourselves as a self-help forum for self-deprecating Scottish born-again virgins? I’m glad he’s finding some success with his standup/interviewer(?) career, but it’d be nice if he could talk about something else for a change.
CJay ― One of the few who seems to have been reinvigorated since moving domains and it’s definitely a good thing because CJay’s good value. It’s a shame he doesn’t post as much as he used to in the Hip-Hop thread, but I’ll take his widespread regular posting over a really focussed subject, any day. Long may his enthusiasm continue.
Clunge ― I feel like he browses loads but is very selective when posting. Also he never starts conversations. Like he won’t make new threads or bump old topics, instead only replying to recent other posts if he feels like he can be arsed. If he posted more I’m sure we’d all be glad of it, but what we get now is better than nothing so I’m not complaining.
Cord ― Realised I’ve not seen him post for a while and when checking I noticed he only posts in the Attenborough thread. I never realised he was a boring sod! Oh well, RIP etc.
Dan ― Dan likes NFL, right? Yeah I think it’s that way round. I’d never conversed with him before signing up for the Fantasy NFL game but since then I’ve become a fan. Well-informed, helpful, easy to get along with – what more could you want from a poster? Only to post in more threads, I guess.
Danny ― Officially the winner of my wife’s favourite username award. I hope you cherish that til the day you die. As for his posts, yeah they seem good. Nothing special but never offensive. We could have one hundred members like him and it’d just tick along nicely without any squabbling, but we’d all miss the hissy fits and fights, really. I like that we have the one of him though.
Dark Soldier ― Blanked me on rllmuk because he’s a bellend, but I still love him. Plus my usernames different so maybe he didn’t know. On here he’s good. Still has enthusiasm for this place, which is amazing, and every now and then he tears up remembering how much he’s got from reading about all of our lives for over a decade and we all hold hands and smile. Then you know he switches tabs to some midget torture porn, jerks off and then PMs the link to me and Magic.
Davgooner ― I’m always glad when I see him post. It’s usually just a passing comment about the football or something, but I’m glad he’s still around. He’s never been mad into TTH, but has always been respected on here, so hopefully he’ll still be here to witness when it finally burns down to the ground and ceases to exist. We’ve got at least ten years left before then though, so stay with us Dave and keep the van running.
Demerit ― Estate agent bloke, right? Was very helpful when I bought my house, and I was banned just as it was going through so never got to say thanks. Cheers, mate.
dino ― Really come on leaps and bounds while posting here. Really, the progress is sensational. He’s now got a job he loves, loads of money, and still manages time to post on here. I just wish his girlfriend sitch was a bit more pleasant for him.
Disco ― Can I be the first to say I don’t like the snooty comments he makes at Giggles? I like Giggles and we all know what he’s like, but being a snidey little rat (was it?) doesn’t help the situation at all. Disco is properly good too, so it’s a shame. When we first moved over here he was very generous in offering to help where needed, and I’ll always remember it, so that’s why I won’t let his Giggles-sniping affect my opinion of him. I realise I really don’t know much about him though. Well, other than his real name, but that goes without saying. I'm not sure if that's my fault, or his intentions.
Dquincy ― Magic clearly has a mancrush on him, and it’s understandable because “quince” is just a lovely bloke. I’m amazed how friendly he remains after some of the abuse I’ve seen him receive on here.
elth ― Should post more but it’s understandable that he can’t commit to this place like he used to, as time moves on. A legend in his own right though, and will always be well-thought of on here.
five time ― Sick of saying this but should post more. He’s posted very well about Liverpool in the past so we all know he has it in him to be considered one of the better contributors on here. Put some effort in!
Foe ― Really is a legend. Still receives unwarranted stick on here just for the way he is, which will always bamboozle me. He’s one of two TTHers I have on Facebook, which I think speaks volumes despite how little I use it. Seems to have a nice chilled out life with a cute cat, a belting salary and a seemingly cosy home, so obviously doing something right. Needs his disco muscles back though, or else he’s at risk of an unfollow on Instagram.
Giggles ― The best poster; hands down, no questions asked, where’s the beef, best. He’s great. I don't even mind that he's supposedly dead old either because I'd still be his mate in real life. I know some people on here think he's a bit negative or whatever but c'mon at least he posts, and with great frequency too. I don't think he is overly pessimistic either – just seems like a normal bloke to me. Infact, I'm meant to be going a stag do in Dublin next year and would appreciate any recommendation of places to go. I work with someone from there too so I can cross reference her picks with yours and find the real grubby heart of the city. Come for a beer too – unless you only drink at home from those three-pint bottles you seem to always get from the pub but never consume there.
Gray Fox ― I really can’t believe how much FIFA he plays. I’m not surprised he posts less since FIFA17 came out. It’s a shame though because he is a good poster when he can be bothered.
Greg ― Used to be Greg Lougayness right? Username change is a travesty.
GS ― Took his foot off the gas a little but seems to be getting back up to speed with his posting now, which is something we should all be grateful for because when GS can be arsed, his posts are amazing. Get a Christmas Werewolf game going and this place will be buzzing around the festive period. Oh man, that’d be great. Not that I’d play – I don’t even know the rules, but I know others love it.
Hammer ― I can’t work him out. Some seem to have massive respect for him and I suppose it helps that some of you have met him, but he’s just so unlike anyone I’d associate with in real life that I can’t click with him. That’s obviously more my fault than his but this is a WDYTOE and that’s what I think of him. The walking long distance thing is such a waste too – you should have Pokemon Go running and hatch a ton of eggs as you go.
Henry ― The cancer of Ireland is still about, which is a bigger shame than any of the bad stuff that 2016 has seen happen.
hfswjyr ― When phonics broke the board by trying to install some early 2000’s html envelope animations and then SvN fixed it, all our avatars got switched about and I ended up with hfswjyr’s. Other than that red hot anecdote, I’ve not got much else to say other than he seems okay. Let’s be honest if someone posts with some sort of regularity and isn’t a complete gypo, then we all should be pleased. And I’m not just saying I’m glad hfswjyr is around to keep the numbers up either because I really do like him as a poster, but cmon that username…
Ian ― He is excellent. Came out of nowhere and impressed from the start, really. Posts well in the threads I see him in and likes a beer – perfect TTHer, really. Plus hasn't he recently gone through the entire back-catalogue of WWE pay-per-views on the $9.99 WWE Network? If so, what a man to have around in real life. Like something minor could happen and he could be like 'lol it reminds me of when William Regal teamed up with Lance Storm and omigod remember when they beat Kane and RVD? That was more of an upset than this pub only having Kronenbourg on. That was at No Way out in 2003, I think' and you and your mates would be sat there thinking hang about you mean when The Rock beat Hulk Hogan, but by this point he's got one of your dads mates in a rollup pin: 'so we're on RAW the week after and the barman's Austin, right? I'm Hurricane Helms and your dads mate Dennis is The Rock, okay?'... Epic. Ian, come and join my group of mates please. We'd love you. Do you wanna be a lion or a crocodile? And pick up Igor en route because
igor_balis ― Probably the only member of TTH I’m ever likely to meet (although even that is very unlikely) and not just because he seems often to be not too far away, but more because he seems like great fun. His posts are entertaining, his stories are amusing and his background is just bizarre. It all makes for a very good poster and I think he’s one of the best on here at the moment.
ItalAussie ― Still going strong. If he ever sacks this place off I worry for it’s longevity so hopefully s/he’ll stick around for a lot longer yet and continue to contribute.
Jeet ― I’m sure he used to moan when people shortened his name to ‘jeet on the old board. Just a sign that TTH rules all, really. I heard WWW tried to sign up but Ian had stolen his username. Anyway, diljeet seems okay. Posts less and less now, which I’m sure some people are pleased about, but I never minded him. Literally only posts about Arsenal now too.
Jimmy Floyd ― I really don’t know how he harvested the reputation he has, but it’s stuck for a long time now and it works great as far as the dynamics of TTH are concerned. Basically he’s some cricket loving, Chelsea pseudo-hating, black man envying, jobsworth nerd from down South, but on here he’s regarded as an oracle of African footballer knowledge, Korean-despising, Chelsea fan spokesman. Don’t get me wrong, I like the guy and it’d be a travesty if he stopped posting, but he’s done well to get where he is today, in forum terms, and my god his avatar could not be more fitting.
John ― Way back when, he used to be okay. Then he turned into an absolute massive prick, which everyone noticed and openly commented on, but he carried on. Now he does his best to do nothing and rarely contributes anything other than FM screenshots, but when he just can’t help himself he’ll pipe up now and then and reveal himself to still be a bit of a wanker. But that’s just John, I guess, and we’re all used to it by now. Also somehow has an opinion on everything or, worse, has experienced everything. David Attenborough could be in a pub and have everyone gripped with some epic tale about something he witnessed during his career, then John would sidle over with his Smirnoff Ice and belt holes full of charlie, and rubbish it all saying actually it was more like this, followed by a collective sigh and hushed murmurs of 'great, John the bastard's out tonight; time to call it a night,' as the last-orders bell rings out at 8:30PM.
John Arne ― Best thread starter, living or dead hands down huh. Has had a few mishits but more often than not he starts good threads. Without him, the board would be a lot quieter so I think we should all give him glowing reviews so he continues to carry the board for at least another twelve months.
Kikó ― Everytime I see England Cricket Captain Alastair Cook on telly I think it’s our Daws. On the list with Dav and Mellin for ever-presents, only Kiko has always been the more involved. Seems well liked on here, understandably, and also seems to be doing very well in real life. Good on you, kidda.
Lee ― Dead in a Maccies bin somewhere while Laur spends all his hard-earned cash. Lol soz. His absence is noticed though, so hopefully he comes back one day.
leedsrevolution ― Doesn’t seem all that popular but I think he’s really funny. Like I’d say one in five of his posts amuse me. Don’t ask me why, he’s just really comical.
Lemmo ― Seems to be a beast at FIFA, but doesn’t really post anywhere else anymore.
Lewis ― The man, the myth, the legend. If it’s possible to don a website, Lewis does that and has done for so many years I’ve lost track. I’m sure he hasn’t though – he’s got every single thing that’s ever happened in this community documented in the most epic computer folder of all time. Thinking about it, he’s been donning it ever since he first turned up with his fullname username like a boss. Peaked when he posted a Drake gif a few weeks back, mind. Pity he’s a United fan but hey not even Lewis is perfect.
Limoutsonik ― Don’t know if he followed us over from the old board but he burst onto the scene the other day with a suave ‘evening gents’ and then just like that started posting like everyone’s dad knew him from down the club. I’m earmarking him as a future TTH legend.
Lofty ― Really has lived off the rollercoaster pic and the reputation it earned him. Has a lot to thank Benny for. Other than that, he seems fairly non-descript really.
Luca ― He’s a bit like Jimmy Floyd in that his reputation is ridiculous and everyone bloody loves him, and it’s sort of grown out of nothing over time. However, unlike Jimmy Floyd, Luca is one hell of a cool dude and I imagine everyone he meets wants to either be his friend, or just wishes they were him. He’s just ace, and I don’t even know why.
Luke Emia ― I can’t believe he stuck with that username when switching over to here. Probably worse than randomlegend doing the same, but at least Luke formatted his correctly.
Magic ― Oh man. I can’t help but feel like you’re gonna get some stick in this thread, as your renewed outlook on yourself has come a bit too late. Hopefully you don’t just read the comments next to your own name or you’ll have already missed my hilarious dig a bit further up the list. He really is funny though, isn’t he? Sure sometimes he tries too hard with his wannabe-crude metaphors (sort of a DS-lite, perhaps) but every-so-often he nails it with words and brings about a collective grin among his readers. Let’s face it, we’re all here to try to entertain each other, and Magic definitely does this in abundance. And no doubt it goes both ways too, because he definitely loves logging on here and reading about what other people are upto. It’s what this community is for! What it’s not necessarily for, is airing out every single piece of dirty washing you have, but part of me loves how unrestricted Magic is when he posts here. I’m not surprised he was second in line (behind Mr Lightfoot) when RealNameGate kicked off – if anyone he actually knows read anything he posts on here, he’d end up in a worse way than when he was “gubbed” that time. Keep it up though, Magic, you’re excellent value. Oh and your exchanges with Giggles are second-to-none in the recent history of the board.
Andy Mahowry ― I was never really a fan of him on the old board (when I was allowed on ololol) but he’s a good member on here. I don’t know what he does in life but he seems to be around a lot, and I like how open he is to sharing stuff. Like we all know about his dad and the will and inheritance etc and granted some mightn’t care but they’re polite enough to not make an issue of it, and personally I’m interested in hearing about it. It seems easiest to be considered a good member/poster on TTH if you tick two boxes: varied interests, and people at least know a bit about you. Mahow definitely fits in both.
Manc ― Still not figured out if he was on the old board, and I often mix him up with Gray Fox, but he seems decent. I think he's from near me too, although his name suggests it's a bit further afield than I first thought. Either way, good poster and often raises a smile from me.
Max Power ― If he posted as much all over the board as he seems to in the Cricket thread, we'd probably all be sick of him. I like him though and I have always thought he comes across as highly intelligent, but I don't know why exactly. Was nice having him (and Lee) around last season too when Leicester won the league, as otherwise I don't think I'd have cared quite as much as I did.
Mazuuurk ― He's always been very good, I think. He got credit for making the Dugout website, didn't he? It's a pity that wasn't maintained because it must have taken a lot of effort for him and then to see it all go to waste must have done his head in. He's just got FM17 too and it seems like he's going to be posting in-depth about his game – it's always good to have someone elses story to read too. Although it just makes me wish it was Christmas already so I could play too. I didn't really notice Maz on the old board but I'm glad he makes the effort on here.
Mellberg ― Only ever posts about football, although has shared a lot about his personal life in the past, which is a shame because he’s a good lad. Since his last real-life story he seems a bit restrained, probably because the feedback was practically split down the middle between agreeing and disagreeing with his outlook. I hope that escapade had a happy ending (as much as it could have) at least.
The Merse ― Oh god his tattoos are awful. And his clothes, oh man his clothes. I don’t know what it is about him though because I actually think he’s really really sound. Another one who’s really open on here and doesn’t let the stick he sometimes gets put him off from future storytelling endeavours.
Mert ― Often the first to get emotional about how much this place means to him, which is admirable considering how much hate some people direct towards him. It’s never been warranted because it’s the internet ffs, but I guess he has been a bit of tool in the past. He loves it though – he loves any attention, and it’s funny to read. Sure sometimes it’s a bit like a broken record but we all think he’s great, really, right? Although we need Sincere back to neg him when things start to get out of hand. I hope he stays true to his word though and puts some serious cash into making this place famous. I'll still PM phonics and SvN every month asking them to put my Google Ads in the footer though.
Mike ― Looks like someone with dark hair and glasses. Doesn’t post much, if at all, and seems to read this place even less. Hurr hurr did you see that ________ on the dugout, Mike? No. Always no. NEVER. Does he even have the internet anymore? C’mon TTH, get a campaign going – Make Mike Great Again.
mikem ― Or I could just replace him with this Mike? Hi mikem, I’m your new brother. Can I come to America please? I want to catch a Tauros. Oh, hope you enjoyed Thanksgiving. Do you look like Liam Lynch? Because that’s a necessity.
mo ― Has a baby now so we’ll never see him again, and neither will his friends, and all he’ll want to do is have quiet nights in with his family and watch Bake Off and become a massive loser. But we can’t get rid of him because he’s been around for so long, so we just have to pretend it’s okay. C’mon mo – when you’ve cleaned all that poo out from under your fingernails, drop us a line to let us know you’re still cool.
mokbull ― Does his best to come across as a bit simple and a really watered-down character, which I hope he's not actually like. Apparently that's got something to do with him pretending to be other people in the past, or something? I don't really know much about him but he seems harmless, at least.
Mr Malik ― After strutting around solely in the Cricket thread like he owned the gaffe, he then ventured into the Hip-Hop thread like 'sup homies, here's a video' and then the video didn't even work! A-grade trolling; top work. Penned to have an ongoing but intense rivarly with Limoutsonik in the distant-future.
neo_hippy ― Hardly posted and then a month ago his wife had a baby, so we'll see even less of him now. Mo 2.
niko_cee ― The only exception to what I touched on in my entry for Mahow, in that niko_cee could be a secret agent because all we know about him is Brighton. I mean is he from Brighton? I thought he was from New Zealand? Where does he live? Who knows. He's even more cryptic than Chinny Hill, and he made a point of going out of his way to cover his tracks and keep his identity top-secret. He's top though, and I'd be surprised if anyone had a bad word to say about him as he just seems to get on with everyone.
Nom de Guerre ― He's only here for FM chat so does well to get much out of this place, truth be told. Hopefully he at least reads other threads, even if he doesn't contribute.
nsd ― Presumably this is newschooldevil from the olden days? I’ve never seen her post but the forum search thingio says it was after September 1st, hence the inclusion. Used to be good in the Hip-Hop thread so if it is the same person, get posting again. And play FM17.
Offshore Toon ― Recently made a triumphant return to posting and kicked some life into the Hip-Hop thread. The only other TTHer I have on Facebook, as far as I’m aware, but from the little I’ve seen he seems like a worthwhile source to have on my news feed. One time he posted a video of his mate screaming fuck off while a massive string of snot dangled out of his note. Amazing. Was about three minutes long too. I’ve always been envious of how many gigs he goes to, seriously must have money coming out the wazoo, but I like that he shares his stories on here sometimes so at least I can read about how great it was.
Panda Bear ― Went away for ages but is now back and, thankfully, has dropped the holier-than-thou attitude he carried about on the old board. Spoonsky would definitely wank him off if the opportunity ever arose though.
Pen ― Another one who keeps the FM thread ticking along nicely, since getting FM17. My only complaint is the massive red border around his avatar. I've only recently turned them on though so hopefully I'll get used to it.
Pepe ― I can't believe how consistent Pepe has been throughout his tenure on here. He's always been as non-committal as possible while maintaining some kind of appreciation for everyone, but then is happy to belittle anyone and everyone if he has the chance to make a sly quip. Don't think I'm being negative though – I love Pepe, and think he's great. Always makes me laugh.
phonics ― He's said a few times now that he gets credited for saving the day despite spending nothing, but he still put in a ton of effort to set this place up and get it looking good enough to encourage people to actually make the move over, which was no easy feat. True he messed it up almost instantly and SvN had to save the day, but at least he got it sorted. Secret bezzy mates with our Mike, and all.
Pleb ― Absolutely nails it in the Fantasy NFL thread. If he put that much effort into every thread (Werewolf included) he’d be giving Lewis a run for his money as best poster, and I’m not even exaggerating there. Unfortunately I never really see him posting elsewhere.
P_3 ― Probably the only other poster on here who plays Pokemon Go so I’ve gotta give him love for that, considering me and my mates are obsessed with it. He should post more about it, actually. Always used to be well good at FM. Do you still play it? You should post about that, if you do.
Queenslander ― Has recently come into his own, I reckon. Has always been in and about threads and posted quite regularly, but lately he's really stepped it up in terms of frequency and quality. Even offered to post me a tinny – the guy's quickly becoming one of my faves, not gonna lie. Unfortunately I don't feel like I have anything worthwhile to exchange for his generous offering of special pirate beer, so it won't happen. Well, unless he has any requests for something British he's heard of but never had. Can you get Tetleys in Australia?
randomlegend ― If wimping out of becoming a doctor wasn't bad enough, he's now an agoraphobic baker. Everybody seems scared to criticise him though, which I don't quite get. And what's that username about?
Raoul Duke ― A snappy little bastard but I can't help but like him. Used to come across as a bit of a snob but either that's died down a lot or I've just accepted it as fine.
Reg ― Frustrating in that we all want Reg to be more arsed about this place because when he can be bothered, he's great. I think his love for TTH has waned a lot though, and he posts a lot less now. Hopefully the flame will grow again though and he can get back to being super-active, making threads and whatnot.
rush ― People have met him so he must be real. Can never be arsed posting anyway because he's too busy drinking protein shakes and lifting weights. Like a gay version of Lewis, really.
Sam ― I really don't like his avatar.
Samadini ― I actually spoke to him on Steam the other day. Was a risky move, and I'm not even sure he knew it was me, but it went okay. I've always liked Sama. Infact, I think everyone likes him on here. He's just a nice and friendly chap.
ScousePig ― Is he still about? He's obviously posted since September 1st because he's on the list, but I don't recall seeing him. I always mix him up with a similarly named member of another forum, who I don't really like, so sorry for that.
Serj ― Is he that black bloke who went to Japan? Actually I think that was a different Austrian? Didn't he die? Lewis, help me out. I remember being surprised to see him sign up here, but it just made me realise he probably browses a lot more than his posting indicates. If that is the case, I hope he (and other browsers who rarely post) decides to do a list.
Shindig ― He's always been good value and entertaining. Sometimes overdoes it with boring stories about his job but other than that he's very good. Some kind of recognised games reviewer nowadays too, right? That's good going. Keep up the good work, Shinners. Oh and post more about PES.
Smiffy ― Plays a lot of FM. And I mean a lot. So much so that it's hard to keep up with his saved games, but his passion for it is admirable. He also had a go at making a TTH team but it didn't really last. I'll probably have a crack at that too when I get it but I've such a painstaking need to have every detail spot on that I'll probably spend six days editing it and then hate all the players when I do eventually get around to playing it, for taking so long to get right. His thread certainly encouraged a few members to buy FM this time round though, which is great. It's a shame the Facebook page he made didn't take off and bring in a few new faces but I suppose there's still time for that once Mert's moneybags kick in.
Spikey M ― Better than ever and I'm glad he's back. Just seems to want to have fun on here, which works well.
Spoonsky ― I've never been a massive fan, moreso that he actively annoyed me, but I've never had a reason. Really he seems like a nice guy who's just happy to have people to chat to on here who know a lot about eachother, in the same way a lot of us used to while away the hours on MSN chatting to Slovenian babes and discussing TD-related conspiracy theories with Bam and DS. Sorry for judging you Spoonsky, you're alright really.
SvN ― Before we go on to praise him for his technical know-how in keeping this place up, let's not forget that when he first signed up – however long ago that was – he chose to name himself Sam van Nistelrooy, albeit in the form of an acronym. Hahahahaha. Has that ever been addressed? Because come on son, that's so lame. But now that's off my chest, I do want to say I am grateful he can be arsed with this place. Soon we're gonna need a new server sorting out, apparently, and he's in the driving seat in terms of holding the kitty purse and actually knowing what the hell to do. I'm glad he contributes in terms of posting too, and doesn't just lurk about in “The Office,” silently judging us all.
7om ― Idiotic name aside, there's nothing to dislike about him. Doesn't shy away from calling people out for idiotic comments but also doesn't seek out a slugfest, which is a good balance to have. You can tell he has a passion for this place too, so I really can't knock him.
Trancemeister ― If it wasn't for TTH I wouldn't have the chance to read about Swedish football. It's hard to relate to someone who seems to only be interested in international football, considering I have less than no interest in England, but it's understandable when your national side isn't full of jebends and supported by even bigger jebends.
Vim ― He's got a cool surname. Just like I said for Trancemeister above, I like that he offers something different in the football threads, as reading about Juventus and Copenhagen is often better than seeing people sulk about United/Newcastle/Leeds being rubbish.
Waffdon ― His username says it all: a don. Young and loving life. He does it better than I did when I was his age (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOi7oNt0ZVc). So many people on here are evidently jealous of him, and others can't believe that's what the youth of today are like. Keeps us ageing losers in touch with the cool kids, if nothing else. People don't seem to realise that the majority of his LAD posts are just replies to people like Magic lolling at something he'd seen on Facebook; Waffz just swans in, confirms he has indeed been caught getting a beej outside a police station, then saunters off back out on the lash with his cool mates. A life we all could have lived once – some of us would rather be “staff” on a Football Manager internet forum though, obvs.
Weaver ― Absolutely nails the weekend football threads when he makes them, and even produces snazzy graphics to go with them. Unfortunately he's gone a bit quiet lately. The only saving grace on that front is that we don't have to see his Jonjo Shelvey avatar very much. Come back though, Weavs, your splash images of headline fixtures were miles better than John Arne screenshotting the games with Vietnamese kickoff times beside them.
wullie ― Okay first of all I’m not a fan of his lowercase W, which I know is weird to say but it bugs me okay. As for his posting and contributions and whatever else, he’s great. I’m amazed by how much more tolerable of Magic he is these days; next he’ll be inviting diljeet round his new gaffe when his new wife next fancies an Indian. Obviously his aforementioned new stuff has cast a different light on Magic’s despair, so good on Wullie for wanting to be his mate and cheer him up. Still a funny sod too, when the opportunity of a one-liner presents itself. I still think he made Nik* redundant, and that’s why he stopped posting.
Yeldoow ― Only posts about politics (read: boring cunt) so I’ve never seen him but I just want to say well done to the two Y-boys at the end of the list having matching fancy backwards names. Woodley4Harvey IDST (EAD) xxx
Yevrah ― Honestly I feel like he’s just happy to ride the wave of his own reputation nowadays. Somehow survived broomgate and was still revered in TTH folklore, which probably shows nothing will ever tarnish his reputation. I’m glad he’s back on FM because in latter-day TD days that was where he excelled. Unfortunately he doesn’t really contribute much else anymore, which is a crying shame but hey whatcha gon do.

The system's broken, Baz. I've only been notified of two since moving to this board. I think people are submitting them but they're not registering in the system.

Magic
01-12-2016, 08:45 PM
PART 1:

7om - Seven is a really great individual. I think we misunderstood each other before, especially on the old board. I feel like our relationship is really taking off. I still maintain he's a shit Pepe, but also now I have levels of respect for Pepe I didn't even know I could hold. So fuck yeah.

Adamski - A playful, less malevolent version of John. Probably eternally more successful in everything he attempts too. The nasty streak is fun when it’s combined with the high levels of self-assuredness Adamski displays.

Alan Shearer The 2nd – Still a legend. I still have dreams about when he saw me in Cineworld. It’s an out of body experience because I wasn’t aware. I float down to my real self and whisper ‘turn around’. I always wake up at that point.

Andy Mahowry – Mahow is far, far greater than the sum of his parts. Oh wait, I forgot that’s equal in mass to Jupiter. From the old board he was nothing but a spamming shit stain on the bed sheets. Now, he has far more to offer. The recent revelation that he did in fact visit a war torn country to hunt down a cam girl who’d replied to him once speaks volumes about his character, certainly in a positive way in terms of a TTH point of view. Good work.

Angelsaint – glad he’s back. I’m not sure if he’s sincere in anything he says, and his pseudo-liberal arguments with Harold were the worst thing I’ve seen. A desperately unhappy man. But one that is deserving of a place on here.

Baz – Turned it around. All I ever knew him for was being an irritant to Henn0rz. How wrong I was. Genuinely seems like the most pleasant on here, someone who looks like a weathered toilet brush but who is so happy within himself it doesn’t matter. I’d go as far as to say he’s…kinda cool! Lol! And got the ball rolling for this place. A great effort. Very good.

Boydy – Just super frustrating. I love him but he can be a right little pussy at times. The sort that would lose us any war we found ourselves in. Has all the intelligence to participate in my middle class banter but none of the wealth so my constant references go floating by like my Molton Brown Rhubard and Rose bubble bath. I’d like to nurture Boyd, take him under my wing. Perhaps he could be my apprentice in engineering debauchery. And that, I feel, is the greatest compliment I could ever afford him.

Bruhnaldo – Veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery annoying. One of those gimps that trots about in a Pearl Jam t-shirt no doubt, and a fucking cap. Always a cap. What’s up maaan? Pretty rad, right man? Like suuuuuper cool man. Straight off the set of Clerks but it’s a shame we aren’t still in the early 90s because the internet wasn’t really a thing and it would mean I didn’t have to read his posts.

Chrissy – He’s a fat, Wegien version of Baz. Things seem to be going really well for Chrissy so fair fucks to the guy. I love what he’s doing for his local community and I hope he gets the recognition he deserves. And the woman he deserves. KUTGW

CJay – The only thing I know about CJay is when he slid down that mud slide or whatever it was with his wee bald head and Ireland shirt on. Other than that he’s a dirty scummer. Probably does offer a lot but not someone I notice too much.

Clunge – Nice to see he’s active having only signed up a few months ago. Feels like he’s been around for ages.

Cord – fucking post more you shit. Just occasionally pops up with moments of brilliance which isn’t good enough to warrant a big entry. Centre stage then forgotten about moments later. For shame.

Dark Soldier – Reyt chilled out. Don’t know if he’s given up on any ambitions he had and accepted his life but certainly a lot less vicious. Hell he was acting as a mediator in a few arguments. WTF! Always got something to offer, always got time to listen.

Dino – The board is better with James. He hasn’t really grown up at all but his love for music is evident. I do get jealous of him sometimes. He's like a looking glass of what my life was.

Disco – I never really paid much attention to SD on the old board and what a mistake that was. He’s a permanent version of cord. Really enjoy his contributions.

Elth – less smug and know it all. Doesn’t really offer any opinions on anything though. I never know if he’s just read the first viewpoint he’s come across and entrenched himself because he likes the arguments? Doesn’t seem to have any core values or left/right leaning viewpoints. Strange.

Foe – such a gentle creature. Pity would be the wrong word as he has so much going for him, but the personality just isn’t there. Neither is the hair. Foe has lots of issues, he doubts everything about him, his decisions, even simple ones like when to breathe. It must be hard, and tragic, being Foe. *minutes silence*

Giggles – I used to love arguing with Franny on the old board, and even on this one. He bites every time. But that’s doing him a disservice. He’s a fantastic contributor and is very funny in his own right. I’d like to think of him as me in years to come. :(

GS – I value GS’ political opinion. They are quite similar to my own, but he expresses it much better. Some things he can be really annoying with, though. He lives his life by capitalism, centre-right views and basic numbers. There’s no room for manoeuvre, and I bet he secretly is disappointed in himself. I also can’t imagine anything more awkward than GS walking around Kingston.

Hammer – Hammy ham. Total fucking don. Simply not one fuck was given at any stage. I love his reckless abandon of basically any situation. How could he make a bloody walk seem so interesting. I bet he has many, many stories to tell but won’t because he isn’t self-indulgent at all. A true gent.

Henry – Has toned it down a bit. I don’t think there’s enough people on here for him to pretend he is anything other than an absolute loser, lower-end salesperson in a massive corporation that can’t even argue with his neighbours directly. Used to be such an insufferable cunt. I AM BETTER THAN YOU doesn’t quite cut it here, love. Oh, and Baz dons you. Team idiot ftw.

Ian – Pretty cool guy. We couldn’t be further apart, with interests, posting styles, hobbies, anything. Yet I have an unquantifiable respect for him. He’s so inoffensive (bordering on boring), and that ironically is part of his charm. Also doesn’t divulge much about his personal life. IIRC he has ITIL qualifications. This may explain a lot.

Part of me thinks I stopped there because I was bored and tired, but the truth is I just wanted to secretly annoy Igor.

I did the "ITIL Awareness" thing and regretted it. It may be great for the CV (or for CV padding, at least, depending on what you're doing) but it's absolutely excruciating. I can do the next level for nowt through work and they'll give me time away to do it, etc. but I think I'd rather be dead.

Yeah, they all have a certain amount they need to make each month with half going to 'the boss'. Never found out what happens if they don't meet their targets, a family member probably loses a finger.

Great success, I made a list! Thanks Baz.

It is true, I rarely post, due to a host of reasons, some good, some bad.
The good ones include me being busy during peak posting hours, through either work or social commitments. This also hinders me from being able to properly engage into conversations on topics I don't know very well, hence me posting mostly in the cricket thread, a subject I considers myself good enough to contribute at.

Some bad ones include me not putting in time into posting/reading enough when I do have time. I tend to blame a pretty big culture difference for not putting in some effort. And also, I don't see myself as a good writer. I take ages to construct a post, re-reading it continuously, and then it still feels like an incoherent piece. I know that if I put some effort into this, it will improve, as that's how things like this works.

Anyway, it is what it is. Lets see if I can improve. (I lurk every day, Might as well start with one post a day.)

Spoonsky
01-12-2016, 10:55 PM
Not worth the effort, but what can you do.

Adamski - Bit of a sour cunt sometimes, but given that antagonism is the fuel the board's running on at the moment, that's not totally a bad thing.

AE - He has a steady girlfriend now. I don't know if he's playing professionally anymore but I'll always be bitter that Real Salt Lake didn't draft him.

Mahow - I liked him better as a poster when I knew absolutely nothing about his personal life. Now I just feel a little sad about all of it.

Angelsaint - Quality. Post more. I mean it.

Baz - I can't really compute the fact that he's a real person, in fact a married adult, and not some straight-to-DVD Scouse version of Peter Pan. Mystifying.

Bernanke - Quality bit-part Scandinavian.

Boydy - I like him, but Magic is right, he'd lose you a war in no time. He takes the leftism a bit too unhumorously as well. I worry about turning into him.

bruhnaldo - Suffers from a textbook case of American inferiority complex on here. I've been there myself, mate... I mean, dude. His preciousness whenever our great country is insulted is quite spectacular. At least he helped improve our global reputation by voting for Trump.

Charlie - I love Charlie, but he never really posts.

Cord - Past it.

dino - If I'd met him in Glasgow I'd probably have ended up filled with drugs and drowned in the River Clyde, but I'm still sorry I didn't, because I like James quite a lot.

Giggles - I don't really dislike him as much as he might think. He really has a nasty, bitter cunt side but for all that most of his posts are fine and the board would be in a lot worse shape without him. It's still a big mystery to me why, in his fifties, he's the highest poster on a website he doesn't much seem to like or care about it.

Gray Fox- One of the best Liverpool posters.

GS - Right good, left bad. There, you can just copy paste that into the appropriate threads instead of going to the effort of writing a new variation on it every time you post.

Hammer - Hammer's great, he's a fascinating character. People give him shit but he's quite funny, intentionally or not, and the board would be more boring without him. A dead-ringer for Mark Zuckerberg too imo.

Henry - See GS, but swap left and right.

Ian - Ian's a great poster, but I'm a little bitter that has life has picked up to the point where he's not hosting Haxball games every afternoon.

igor_balis - Wacky!! I know that a lot of that is just that he's legitimately weird, but he also plays up to it; a bit, I don't know, self-conscious and self-aware.

ItalAussie - I love Ital, honestly. He's such a nerd but in the best kind of way, and he was a voice of sanity in the election threads. That said, a socialist should study just what it is about his posts that makes everyone, including myself, assume he's a woman.

Jimmy Floyd - Still top quality, but the Koreans have gotten a little dull so it's time he went to work for some Emiratis or something.

John Arne - I like John Arne. He's white, apparently? Yet he types like a foreigner. A confusing situation.

Kikó - A class act in real life, and going to the Euro finals was one of the weirdest nights of my life. He's a good poster too though, he seems more authoritative about United than any of their other fans on here.

Lewis - His posting is as good as ever, but he's begun to seem more depressed, or maybe he's just more open about it, and you have to wonder whether he'll kill himself when the board finally kicks it. Try meditation.

Magic - My favorite poster. I don't know how this happened, and I feel a little dirty saying it, but it's true. Not only is he my favorite but he's one of the most important, in terms of generating activity with his weird perversions and trainwreck of an adult life, so him fixing up his marriage portends trouble for the board. Time for someone to slip the wifey a link to this place.

Manc - Best new poster.

Mert - Such a fucking dick on here most of the time, and knowingly; the board would probably be a better place if he fucked off. That said, he's a pretty successful guy, and he e-victoried the election like nobody has seen before, so the board's collective and increasingly pathetic attempts to put him down - haha Trump will deport you lol!! - are just as bad. Sorry we didn't invite you to the Euro finals but, you know, with that salary you probably could've bought a ticket on your own.

mikeM - The highest quality per post of anyone on here. I appreciate it more probably as an American, but every single post is insightful and thought-out, and he brought a very interesting and mature perspective to the election.

mokbull - I like Mok, he's a good dude, but that's largely down to how much we have in common, and if I were some random poster from the Midlands I'm not sure I wouldn't find him very annoying. But I'm not, so we're good.

Offshore Toon - I'm glad he's posting again, and that he's basically the same as he used to be (unlike, say, Spikey, who's turned into a married cupcake of a man). His absence was very heavily missed, along with Toby's.

Pepe - The same as ever, really. I'll meet you someday and pull your pants down biking (or 'cycling').

Raoul Duke - Very good and mature poster. I'll always remember watching Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas for the first time a couple years ago and thinking ohhhh fuck.

Reg - Good!

Samadini - Legend.

Shindig - Comes off at times as a slightly pathetic leftist in the vein of Boydy. Pathetic is too harsh. More than anything political, I just detect a sort of passive unhappiness with your lives. Go on, do something about it, take charge.

simon- Donned Magic just now, which is always a worthwhile contribution even if he never posts otherwise.

SincereTheRebel - Sorely missed.

Smiffys - Yeah, uh, DS was bang on about it: I think people on the board are far bigger dicks to him than he deserves, but he's still not really capable of taking the high road and it leads to these nasty petty little fights that don't do anyone good. His posting on football is still vaguely annoying but more tolerable than before.

Spikes M - See: Offshore Toon.

Waffdon - Baz seems to think he's a cool kid. He's not actually that cool, is he? He just gets wasted every weekend with random middle-aged Scottish people. That tattoo is absolutely lol, and it's probably better not to think about what he'll be like in 20 years, but I love Waffelz all the same.

wullie - He's like those talk-show hosts or comedians who used to be balls to the wall hilarious but are now just coasting on a general likability and decent sense of humor. That said, it's not like it's his job to be the funny man, and he seems like a really good guy either way, so it's a little unfair to paint him the way I did.

Yevrah - Relic of a past age, the glory of TTH around when I first arrived mid-2010 World Cup. But it's still better that he posts than doesn't.

Waffdon

The stag is a Carling/Kopperberg loser (as are some of the party) but at least four of us will be on the lookout for good ales to drink amongst all the Guinness, including the best man. Only downside is the best man and one other lad are the biggest skin-flints on the planet (god knows why best man picked Dublin, we all wanted Krakow) so gotta avoid €8 pints if possible.

Here's my list from what I remember of you people.

Andy Mahowry - tried to emphasise with him when he had inheritance/parent issues. Didn't get anything back from him tho, which was a shame.
Angelsaint - enjoy reading his wind up comments.
Baz - All round top bloke. Would imagine he's as nice in real life as he is on here. Very down to earth.
Boydy - Remember him from the old board. It sure if he still posts. Think he was a bit depressing and dry.
Charlie -Leicester fan. NIce enough.
CJay - use to be amazing at Words with Friends.
Dark Soldier - Posts on FM thread, which I enjoy reading. Odd chap tho.
Davgooner - Remember and like him from the old board.]
elth - have nostalgic feeling about him from the old board. Don't notice him anymore.
Giggles - Top chap, people misunderstand his pessimistic humour. Get off his back.
Gray Fox - Good poster
igor_balis - posts about FM, so alright by me.
Jeet - Humorous.
Jimmy Floyd - Dislike reading his posts. Come across as a twat and I often disagree with all his content. Nob head.
John - Absolute cretin of a person. Comes across miserable.
Kikó - Nice fella.
Lewis - Entertaining posts.
Magic - Cunt. Feel sorry for his family
Manc - Nice bloke.
Mert - Entertaining for all the wrong reasons. Can't work out if he is a parody.
Mike - Like him, he is part of the 3 amigos. Also plays FM which is nice.
mokbull - people are mean to him and I don't know why. Nice guy.
niko_cee - alright. Old school.
Offshore Toon - like it from the old days.
Shindig - solid poster. This chap will be a lifer at tth, and this place will be better for it.
Smiffy - again, one of the old boys. Good posts in fm thread.
Spikey M - like him from the old days, but don't know him anymore.

Andy Mahowry- Can't stand him. Typical case of a guy who replaces self-esteem with lashing out at others. Board has adopted him as the child that needs looking after despite being 45 years old. Assume most children he looks after are smarter than he is.
Angelsaint- No bans carrying over was the smartest move I ever made. We got Baz and people were re-introduced to why the myth that is 'Saint' was widely ignored
Baz - Reference the above post. Baz is the perfect forum goer in that he gives zero fucks about how people interpret him while playing a character. People have a go at him but it doesn't matter because he's playing a character. Good stuff. His brother is better not just because of free Giant Bomb videos but that he also comes across as a cartoon character that everything just works for him and life is good. I think of the Akehurts as a wonderfully kind version of the Animaniacs.
Bernanke - Posts alot without being able to hold an opinion
Bob Sacamano- Doesn't Post
Boydy- I'd like to think Boydy and I would be friends in real life but he'd probably think I was a total dickhead. Deserves better in life and I think personal things (both avoidable and unavoidable, I'm not going to have a go at the guy for being depressed) hold him back from realising his potential.
Browning - Confuse him with Byron
bruhnaldo - One of the hardest to fill out because his posts in the US thread felt so much like what most of us had experienced in 04 with Iraq. He felt suddenly 'WOKE' but with an inability to describe his feelings/opinions outside of contrived platitudes. Also clearly posts how he talks, which leads to people mis-interpreting his posts or being construed as a moron. I have no idea if he is or not but it's hard to ascertain when someone types in conversational English.
Byron - Pops up every once in a while.
Charlie - Was over-rated on the old board. Disappeared on the new board.
Chrissy - If you don't interact with him you probably won't notice that he cares about this board as much as the biggest names, takes it just as seriously and will go out of his way to make you understand so. If anyone remembers that thread about his comedy show, I told him how to capture it and put a joke at the end asking to pay a tenner. The guy pm'd me asking for my PayPal details even though I'd done nothing outside a basic google search. He did the same sort of thing when TTH 3.0 started, the guy cares which is more important to me than anything.

Disco -Disco and I were the only people posting in the Oblivion thread (pre-saville) and yet it sprawled into a mess where both of us now seem like the biggest downers on Bethesda products due to wanting more.
Dquincy - Previously, I didn't pay attention. Now seems a bit mental to get attention (See: lol got porn plz)
elth - Doesn't Post
five time- Doesn't Post
Foe - Just can't find I care enoug -h to have an opinion
Giggles -Feels DM-esque in that he's travelled the earth in his field so has nothing to learn but is perfectly happy in his work vs earning bracket and doesn't want to go up. People mock his ignorance (I do too) but it's because everything else in his life works so effectively that any break in that breaks him. People with beards is his main antagonism. Hence why he hates all of us.
Gray Fox- Doesn't Post
GS - Years ago I would have wrote a long diatribe about why GS is a total arsehole. Something that you'll notice throughout this list is that I see a positive in most but I justy find GS the most tedious person alive. If people replied to you with the IRL smarm that has come off every GS post since his weekly eight page defense/destruction of Rafa/Hodgson. Adamski- With John getting older, seems determined to be New John. Perma angry and aggro yet whenever he's not directly replying to people, seems like good bloke. Probably tempted by the whole 'This guy on the internet is wrong' like we all are.
AE - Doesn't Post
Alan Shearer The 2nd - - Doesn't Post
Alex- Started posting again as soon as Offshore did, figure he just hates my opinions on Hip Hop ;)
Amigo- Doesn't Post

Andy - Should post more. Would love to know how his business is going.
CJay- Doesn't Post

Dark Soldier - Chill, posts in the FM thread these days. Seems as if he disguised himself behind a persona back in the day and these days isn't interested in offering a personality. Wish I had more opportunity to like him.
Davgooner - Simply brilliant like a Freddie Ljungberg goal.
Demerit - Doesn't Post
dino - Seemed James' biggest contributions were mostly via other forms of social media. Never quite understood it myself.
Him and Jimmy being the literal definition of why I left and didn't come back for two years. Insufferable.

There's very few of you I actually dislike and this place would be one of my main forms of entertainment, we all have a character/role to fill though.

I love you guys but the self promotion bit was very valid. I'll stick to posting/browsing as per usual without the shitehawk pitching of activities.

I really like this site and loved the old one. You get a range of views on here that is very diverse and even if I don't agree with what folks say, it's good to see the debate fleshed out or people getting torn up.

On the FM front, iv'e noticed one thread. Don't know if folks would be keen on my posting tactics or not? I do spend a ridiculous amount of time testing the buggers.

Anyways, as an active browser and inactive poster, please by all means keep the pelters going. If anything I had the first chimp out to the lists which is a new first for me.

I would be super into FM still and tactic creation if I knew that the games actually mirrored real-life football, but they don't in the slightest. When you make tactics you're making FM17 strategies, not football strategies, which pisses me off and is why i don't play anymore

It's a bit of fun, and a chance to draw a cheap seethe out of some people. I don't know why fannies are always looking to paint it as some sort of validation exercise, when in reality it's nothing compared to all those awards I won for being popular and great.

Jimmy Floyd
12-12-2016, 07:03 PM
Since we're agreed, you can have a list. It's actually more a stream of consciousness than a list, so apologies to those whose entries aren't even about them, and I chopped a lot of people for whom nothing immediately came to mind, so apologies to them too.

Adamski ― I don’t know if he used to have another name but I’ve noticed him in the last year as an increasingly amusing presence. For some reason, there is a certain manner in which the Scot is often quite funny, a sort of balls-to-the-wall gallows directness which the Englishman, with his privilege and his soft drinks that are not amber hell, can never quite emulate.
Amigo ― When I met him in London, in 2011, and bought him a coca-cola (with ice), he failed to finish it during the three-odd hours that he, I and other TTHers sat around a pub table. I have never forgiven him, and I never shall.
Andy Mahowry ― Perhaps his Andy Murray schtick (what is that? Something Jews throw for a dog?) was a long-game attempt to get himself up towards the top of the WDYTOE list, in which case I congratulate him most heartily on his success. In all other respects, I commiserate him on his failure.
Baz ― I really like Baz these days, even though, were we ever to meet, we’d probably be less likely to enjoy ourselves than Hendrik Verwoerd at the MOBOs. But, you know, each to his own.
Blitz ― Saffa, which, as can be seen in the above entry, isn’t a good start in life, but he seems nice and most importantly, likes cricket, which is the one true sign of a good man.
Boydy ― I reckon you could send him one of Sir Harvey Yevrah’s famous triple cunted hookers, on the house – or, let’s say, paid for by a workers’ collective - and each cunt could be fitted with a specially adapted monitor for him to play those stupid pet gifs to his heart’s content, and she could ride him like Red Rum every night for a year whilst three virtual Fidos do funny faces and fart, and he’d still find something to whinge about.
bruhnaldo ― I find it very hard to relate to his football posts. I discovered the sport in the mid-90s, as a 6-8 year old, sitting eating a crumpet at the kitchen table on cold, dark winter teatimes, listening to the classified results on the telly. My family had no Sky in those days and even if we had, I think it was only 1 televised game a week at the time. So my introduction to football was through the medium of ‘Tranmere Rovers one; Stockport County one’ being read out by an august old man and the pools results would come in afterwards – ‘Five score draws, one no score draw’ – and then it would be time for the latest news from the IRA or the Bosnian war, followed by a repeat of Dad’s Army (some things never change) and then Jim Davidson’s Generation Game would start, at which point my mother would turn the TV off, but I’d still remember ‘Tottenham Hotspur two; Queens Park Rangers three’, and from there the childhood-long obsession began. I think bruh’s introduction to football was probably as far away from that as it’s possible to be whilst still in the same language.
Byron ― Good poster, I’d sometimes like to see him post in more detail, but then I’ve said that about people before and they’ve turned out to produce out the sort of stuff that normally adorns the inside of South Croydon minicabs at five in the morning.
Chrissy ― Genuine, and there is a lot to be said for that.
Clunge ― I’d love to hear from him a detailed, no holds barred account of the local journalism trade in 2016 (or 2017, or 2020, or a year of his choosing). I don’t know if this forum grants sufficient anonymity for him to do so. I find it remarkable that something that is a basic tenet of civilised society is being basically smothered to death. Surely if anything there should be more journalism in this day and age, not none at all. I suppose the problem is that nobody pays for it since the internet, but we lose so much as a society and a country just from the loss of that one thing, it genuinely pains me. I hope I’ve got the right bloke here.
Cord ― I honestly don’t get why he doesn’t post more. It clearly can’t be because he has anything better to do, and he’s the funniest poster on here, give or take, so come on.
Danny ― Good, underrated poster, the board needs more like him.
Dark Soldier ― If he’s happy, I’m happy.
Davgooner ― Has barely been seen since Tronald Dump got elected? Perhaps he’s taken the van stateside. Although he seemed to take more pleasure from Hillary Clinton’s defeat than displeasure from The Donald’s oh so glorious victory, so he must have gone full lefty.
dino ― I still don’t buy betting as a job. It must be so fucking miserable and stressful to have your livelihood riding on whether or not some gangland under 19 side from the slums of Bratislava have been bunged enough to bother that day. I suppose it’s a fairly slippery slope towards doing the bunging oneself.
Disco ― One of the best. I haven’t managed to work out whether he’s one of those long-haired, long-bearded grungey types who repairs things and is known as a bit of a ‘character’, or a more austere designer with a slick jawline who sits at a table signing off drawings and has never set foot on the factory floor. Probably somewhere in between. Or more likely just neither.
elth ― Have I ever told the story of when I met elth? I think I have, but probably at another meet and not on here. So I had never seen a picture of elth, and he PM’d me telling me he would be wearing green shoes. OK, I thought. So I was a bit early and stood outside the pub waiting for a mid to late twenties Aussie with green shoes to come around the corner. I’m not sure why I didn’t just go in and buy a drink, but this was my first ever TTH meet I think, I was quite young and a bit nervous. A few minutes pass and then a bloke with longish hair rocks up on the opposite side of the doorway, wearing green shoes, and starts looking edgily around and checking his phone. Well, he’s a bit older than I expected, I thought, but how many people in 2009 wear green shoes? So I shuffled over to him and said ‘Nice green shoes,’ because it suddenly occurred to me that I didn’t know his actual name and I didn’t want to call him ‘elth’. The bloke just looked at me like I was ill, and at that moment I realised it wasn’t elth at all, and dived into the pub out of sheer embarrassment, at which point I saw Raoul Duke having just come in on the other side and from then on acted, I think, like a relatively normal human being. Elth’s real shoes proved greener still.
Foe ― There’s surely only so much you can do in fucking, you know, up there. I know he’s been to Shetland so the river Styx probably seems like the Elysian Fields in comparison, but come on, move to Texas. Or have you already done that? I lose track. Nice chap, when I met him.
Giggles ― Really outstanding poster, even though he is the most miserable sod this side of the Pyrenees. Seems to have zero awareness of anything outside his immediate environment, which to be honest is probably the way to go. The reason he’s a great poster is that he’ll be bumbling along being the miserable bastard he is, a mild discussion will take place and he’ll suddenly change the pace by calling someone a ‘fucking rat cunt’ for no discernible reason. I tip my hat.
GS ― The Bard of Belfast, or at least he would be if ‘Bard’ referred to meticulous accountancy rather than elegant verse. Do you remember where you were when Michael Jackson announced his farewell tour? It was branded THIS IS IT. Sadly for Jackson, he was pushing up daisies before THIS IS IT ever came to fruition. GS’s repeated use of the phrase whilst adding a generally superfluous hot take in politics threads has ruined those special memories of MJ, so much so that I associate the two with each other. The GS ‘Thriller’ gags write themselves, so I’ll concoct a much more laboured effort surrounding ‘Beat It’ in which he spits the lyrics in a tuneless Paisley accent to a drum-playing youngster at the back of an orangemen’s parade who, frankly, grows tired of the constant advice.
Hammer ― The centrepiece of his various, very entertaining, tales always seems to be the striking up of conversation with a total stranger for no particular reason, which, being the patriotic Englishman I am, fills me with utter seething hatred for the bastard.
Henry ― I love his book reviews. I’d actually buy a book – say, for 15 quid – of Henry reviewing every book he’s ever read in the 200 word fashion he does.
hfswjyr ― Wonder if he’s yet met anyone who isn’t either a humourless anzac or a fat, mouthy Saffa.
Ian Webly ― Ian Webly is a great persona. He sounds like an anal bastard from a local news report. ‘Now, bird-watchers across the county will be pleased to know that the first breeding pair of yellow-tailed pottinges for almost three decades has been spotted nesting in the Shropshire Hills. I’m joined now by Ian Webly, from the Ludlow and district birdwatchers’ association. Thanks for joining us, Ian. It’s certainly good news for wildlife lovers, but what is the wider significance of this sighting?’ ‘Well, Amanda, what your viewers may not know *glances disdainfully to camera 1* is that the yellow-tailed pottinge is not yellow-tailed at all – in fact, from a distance, it looks rather more like a brown-feathered morningtwat than a European nighthawk, and that’s something that newcomers often get wrong. You see…’
igor_balis ― Given that he likes both cricket and Saint Etienne, he really should be my tragic born-in-the-wrong-decade blood brother. The fact that he definitely isn’t is to his great credit.
ItalAussie ― The problem Ital and I encounter is that we are both used to being right 95% of the time – he about fluid mechanics, physics and other things that contribute to the betterment of humanity, I about sandwich fillings, batting orders and other things that do not. As such, occasionally we hit little impasses on here where neither of us will back down. Still, your weekend elections are shit.
John ― Also has the jock humour as noted in my entry for Adamski, but whereas the latter deploys it more in little bursts of gunfire, John is more of a NATO airstrike campaign. Sometimes he misses the target and wipes out a load of civilians, but fuck it, innocent people deserve painful deaths for our amusement sometimes.
John Arne ―
Kikó ― He is a delightful chap. He has always seemed the same poster (at least to me), which is odd when you think he’s only about my age or maybe younger – 27-28? – and so we must have had a good chunk of his teenage years, as well as the cappuccino follow-up and its emerging soya latte successor. His posting is a weird hybrid of ultra-cynicism and the opposite, but all good stuff.
Lee ― I can only assume he’s in the same hideout as Paddy Ashdown, George Osborne and co, plotting their way out of Brexit Britain. Crack open a packet of custard creams (chocolate digestives absolute max) and enjoy it.
leedsrevolution ― His place in the world of fucking weird drunken posting is similar to that of Tolstoy in the world of literature – seminal, and irreplaceable, but actually reading it is a bad experience.
Lewis ― I think I’ve already done ‘The best poster I know, definitely the best poster you know’ in the past, so instead of that I’ll offer some incisive social commentary. All the Tony Blair theory – the fact that he politicised the civil service, the fact that red wine wasn’t as cheap prior to 1997, the fact that wheely bins are rubbish and the outside shots in Mr Bean are snapshots of a better Britain – all of this was Lewis’s original idea, and he’s mentioned it at least as often on the board as I have, and presents it more eloquently and in a more entertaining fashion than I do - and yet I’m widely credited with it. What does this say about society? What it says is that we only see in people what we want and expect to see in them. Nobody wants to see a far-fetched politico-sociological theory from Lewis – they want to see him do wrestling references, obscure TTH history because he has a spreadsheet (he actually just has an incredible memory, which is presumably also a big help in writing an academic book without slitting your wrists), and off-colour jokes about the dead. Similarly, people in the wider world don’t want to see a tough-looking, direct-speaking northern bloke with a thick accent be smarter than them, and nor do they want to give such a person a job. It’s how life is now – people don’t just judge a book by its cover, they judge a book by the cover they think it should have. They probably think ‘Duncan Sandys and British Nuclear Policy’ should have a picture of Duncan Sandys on the cover. How little they know.
Magic ― I have always seen this board as a completely separate thing to the rest of my life, and this stayed so even once the era of social media dawned. The ‘persona’ of Jimmy Floyd that I post with is not consciously separate to my actual character, but over the years it has somewhat evolved so. Offline I am less forthright, more boring (I know, right?), and a lot more laid back. I am aware this is not the same for everyone and it’s probably been to my detriment in terms of getting as much out of modern-day TTH as I once did. Nowadays, we are much more in the Baz camp of being completely open and transparent, with the forum persona and the real person being one and the same. Over the years, TTH has had posters ranging from the Baz types through to total secrecy like Oimoi/niko_cee, and everything in between, and I think that diversity has been to our great benefit as a board. Magic the poster is generally very engaging, interesting to read, very funny – yes, with a bit of a dark edge, but that’s a good thing. Magic the bloke is none of my business, but I hope he’s like Magic the poster.
Manc ― I know he posts a fair bit but I probably confuse him with others and/or it fades into the background – but you’re sound, I think. Do correct me if I’m wrong.
Max Power ― Great company in the cricket thread along with the rest of the crew. He posts very rarely about his own life so I was disappointed to read in the recent thread that it was only packing a 4/10. Upwards next year.
Mazuuurk ― Lovely chap, he was the first and perhaps only TTHer to get me blind drunk and Jesus Christ I was young then. Not even 20, I don’t think, and I was a late developer; later, indeed, than that evening. Surprised I survived it.
Mellberg ― Hopefully his absence means pleasure for him and not for Her Majesty.
The Merse ― Seems to have overcome that little bump in the road and is pressing on into the delightful tedium of his thirties, a state at which I can only gaze enviously on.
Mert ― If it’s an act, it’s pretty convincing. I like to think that it’s not an act, and is all true. Accusations that America has gone ‘post-truth’ are, in my view, deeply unfounded. They never had any truth in the first place, it’s a country founded on a load of absolute bullshit and has continued along that path ever since. We should have just taken it back in 1812.
Mike ― Historically preferred him to Baz but less convinced of that these days.
mo ― Seems a good guy, always enjoy reading his posts about what it’s like being a teacher. I know a teacher who’s like 23 and ridiculously optimistic about it, presumably because he’s only just started.
mokbull ― Gah. I’ve tried to be as nice about everyone as not being a pious cunt allows, but what can you say?
niko_cee ― Probably one of the best posters without actually putting any effort into it, which probably says a bit about both us and him.
Offshore Toon ― Good to see you again. You seem happier than in the old days.
Panda Bear ― I like that he still pops in. Always been a nice chap, even though I think we had a period of disliking each other which is so long ago I’m not convinced it actually happened.
Pen ― I rarely see him post nowadays, but he was always good.
Pepe ― Gets a lot of flak, including probably from me in past editions of these lists, but he’s sound as a peso, which is actually not sound at all, but oh well.
phonics ― I find his political posts pretty risible and never quite see what the point of them is, but aside from that, he seems like a very honest sort of individual and when you get him down to actually posting from the heart rather than reposting stuff from twitter, he is very interesting to read.
Queenslander ― Quality as always. Keep a couple of tinnies cold for my entirely fictional trip to Brisbane.
randomlegend ― I don’t get his chip-on-shoulderness about things. If I ever post anything vaguely off message he’s always the first to leap in and call it horseshit in a fairly aggressive manner – I’m sure it often is horseshit, but there’s no need to stand to attention like Mert’s piece in front of a mirror, particularly when you could be spending the time making 10/10 confectionery and posting pictures of it.
Raoul Duke ― Cool dude and I want his predictions of technological dystopia to come to fruition sooner rather than later. The robots will probably eat him first, mind.
Reg ― Has toned down the tactics truck stuff now, or realised the error of his ways, or both, or I’ve changed my mind, or some combination of all of the above, or it was a myth in the first place, and now he’s one of the best posters on football.
Sam ― Like Manc, I know he’s around but hard to distinguish, probably for generic username or avatar reasons. Is this the Wolves fan? You’re alright.
Samadini ― Total geezer, seems to have less time for us these days but hopefully that’s for nice reasons.
Shindig ― Still, after all these years, has a funny turn of phrase. Seems completely out of touch in a lot of ways but I suppose that comes from living in Gateshead or wherever the fuck he has to spend his days.
Smiffy ― He reminds me of my dog, and I don’t mean he smells bad and shits in the garden, although he may. What my dog does, and I imagine most dogs are like this, is she can only operate at two speeds – complete all-out pull-your-hamstring sprinting frenzy, or asleep in front of the fire. She does pull out a little businesslike brisk trot when she takes a chew out into the garden, but that is just for show. Everything is geared towards moments of sprinting ecstasy, or moments of slovenly inertia, and that is how it will always be. Still, I like my dog, she’s a lot more likeable than I am, and the household is better for having her in it.
Spikey M ― Seems a really nice guy these days. I mean, I may have thought that before, but it was so long ago that R Kelly was at number one and Pards was still alive, so I really can’t remember.
Spoonsky ― I love Spoonsky. If I ever pass through Utah again (though to be honest once in my life was probably enough) I’ll stop by for a *insert stupid measure Americans use* of Jesus Juice.
SvN ― Good these days. Used to wind me up, doesn’t anymore. I suspect we’ve both got older. Well, I know we’ve both got older. But you know what I mean.
7om ― Is one of the better posters when he is around.
Vim ― Managing to be both Italian and Danish is pretty impressive. Both ends of the European shitness spectrum. Hamlet, and the Merchant of Venice. Highly taxed, and terribly organised. Crap pastries, and crap breakfast. Von Trier, and Pasolini. Bjarne Goldbaek, and Gabriele Ambrosetti. Poor guy.
Waffdon ― Seems to have descended into one syllable only now.
wullie ― Still up there with corduroy for funniest poster, and Lewis I suppose, but the former two benefit from being a better player when you’re on the bench.
Yevrah ― As close as we’ve ever come to the soul of the board, drifts in and out these days but I reckon he’s got one last big posting spree in him. Mind you, I said that about SG. I wonder what became of him. This wouldn’t have been a good year for SG. Might have been a Brexit suicide.

So it was.

bruhnaldo

bruhnaldo ― I find it very hard to relate to his football posts.

Not exactly off but we're not exactly too far apart either. When I first got into football it was basically off of playing FIFA, but as far as televised matches go, it was nearly the same. Honestly, I'm not sure any Premier League games were televised. If they were, we didn't get the SPORTS PACKAGE through the cable to watch them. So, given that matches weren't televised over here like they are nowadays, I used to sit at my compuiter on "ESPN'S SOCCERNET" and read minute by minute updates of matches. Talk about a boring, tedious exercise.

One such glory I remember from those days with the infamous "pizzagate" match. Louis Saha and Alan Smith setting up Rooney to tap-in the 2nd of the 2:0 and I'm running around my house like a lunatic. My mom asked what I was doing and I told her that United just won. She asked if I was somehow watching it online (this was before streaming was good) and she was puzzled that I could legit sit at my computer and read these minute by minute updates for hours on end. At that point she swiftly told me to get outside and go do something productive lol.

Yeah, the entry for bruh was great. Exactly how I was introduced to football in the early 90s.

We used to get rid of Sky periodically, like when they put the price up or whatever, and it always seemed to coincide with when WCW (which was available on Bravo/TNT, which was free if you kept the box) was good.

MORE.

7om - I enjoyed 7om's posting when I was a lurker, my increased activity seems to have coinciding with him disappearing. Chinese wife right? We lose everything to China these days.
Alan Shearer The 2nd - Dundee person, loves cars more than humans
Andy - Really good on football, thought he vanished but popped up again recently which was nice
Andy Mahowry - Just, I don't know. Seems to try and take the piss out of himself but it doesn't quite come off as anything approaching funny. Still responsible for some of the most inanely, brain frazzlingly, dull posts on here. Mostly in little things that fuck you off and mostly about forgetting that he had ordered socks and then this time where his socks arrived and he wore them.
Baz - A good egg, I bizarrely enjoy his job posts even if the mileage (!!) is ridiculous. Seems like a normal guy but has that geeky side to him as well.
Boydy - Fuck up everyone, Boydy is great. I must have missed the historic whinge everyone is still going on about. You can tell he's 5 minutes away from a fuckery meltdown at all times, but I think we have a similar humour.
bruhnaldo - Jimmy nailed it, I think. Total clash of cultures and just too AMERICAN WOO SOCCER YEAH PUT IT IN THE HOLE.
Byron - An FM stalwart, but not noticed him about that much recently.
Chrissy - I don't mind when he's promoting his comedy gigs, but much prefer when he's shit the bed and posting about it.
CJay - Doesn't Cjays house have the great view out the window? As soon as it snows get a 2016 photo posted.
Danny - Still remember that epic Crewe save from a few years back, loved it.
Dark Soldier - An absolute monster in the film thread, him and Spoonsky keep me going when I'm looking for something to watch, although I don't always post my thanks.
Demerit - Estate agent.
dino - Not much interaction with dino, even though he's from Glasgow too. Hope everythings cool.
Disco - Love Disco, he enjoys a bit of Giggle baiting as much as I do but aside from that he's generally very funny. I think we have similar senses of humour.
Dquincy - I'm not sure what the schtick is. Is he coming on every so often and posting ironically as if he thinks he's genuinely trying to wind people up? Or is this what he classes as being funny? Either way it's awfully odd.
Foe - Foe's a nice guy, does seem like he's starring in his very own Bridget Jones film though.
Giggles - Total cunt but I've warmed to him recently. I can't get any more mileage out of the hipster chat so there's nothing else for it but to appreciate the simplicities of a man who has no interesting in absolutely fucking anything except Android phones and lager.
Gray Fox - Not much interaction recently, the work chat has died down and quite unremarkable on football.
GS - Don't agree with a huge portion of what he posts, he's essentially a British Mert but has the brains to do it with greater subtlety.
Hammer - Hammer's a good lad, if Igor is Oscar Wylde then Hammer can be Rabbie Burns.
Ian - Ian seems like a nice guy, the kind you would meet outside a pub smoking and go back in and have a whisky together and chat about the football. As your trips to the toilet synchronize, things would get awkward, but it would be fine.
igor_balis - I don't know what you're referring to in your entry but you're alright for a star gazing mong.
Jimmy Floyd - What a turn of phrase Jimmy has, probably the best on the board. The postings in the job thread have been quite fun. Still prone to the odd inexplicable comment in a football thread passed off as fact despite it being utterly ridiculous. Also seemed to go out of his way to let everyone know he wasn't watching the Premier League as if he was better than that, until Chelsea started not being shite. Really good guy though.
John - Interesting to read in the FM thread but other than that doesn't really offer much. Seems to go off on one with people at the very smallest thing, is one of the most pedantic posters on the board and still continues to come across as such a smug know it all wanker in the TV thread.
John Arne - By the way he posts, I don't know how he survives in Asia. Genuinely seems to come across as being permanently surprised at everything, however trivial. Glad the football threads are back on track and we don't need to guess the fucking timezone.
Kikó - I really like Kiko, just seems like a genuinely nice guy who has similar interests to myself and I could happily go for a pint with.
Lee - He's missed from the board, like I said the other day, if people don't find this place interesting any more then fair enough but the beauty of the place is having a conversation about carrots and then someone wades in with an outlandish opinion and before you know it Mahow is sitting in the corner crywanking into his own socks. You won't get that in the group.
leedsrevolution - Seems to have calmed down a bit, still prone to the odd bout of madness.
Lewis - Lewis is alright, seems to just be a bit snarky these days without really offering anything. Get a job.
Magic - I do love digging him out but to be fair to him he takes it quite well. He's a genuinely interesting poster even if I do thing large parts of it are made up for our entertainment.
Mike - I don't mind Mike although he does seem like a massive cuddly dork. Sorry Baz.
Pepe - Pepe is OK, but just seems so lethargic I'm surprised he doesn't fall asleep halfway through posts. Maybe that's why theyre all so short.
phonics - Decent and quite helpful, seems to get a bad rep for no reason. No denying he dresses like a cunt.
randomlegend - Can be prone to the odd tantrum but quite enjoy his posts in the food thread.
Raoul Duke - Big fan of Raoul, another one with very similar interests to mine and would be happy to go for a pint with.
Shindig - Shinners is harmless, like that old uncle who gets wasted at Christmas and pisses himself. Seems to have calmed down the brain thuddingly dull posts about printers and the mythical 'WORK' not coming in. Definitely fancies this fat cow at his work and isn't emotionally prepared to deal with it.
Smiffy - Comes across as such a smug know it all in football threads, glad those ridiculous predictions seem to have stopped. A very high opinion of himself and absolutely prone to a meltdown at tiny little things. Always fun to do.
Spikey M - Spikey is solid. SImilar stage of life to myself and adapting well to the general dull crushing monotony of fatherhood and suburbia where life's only pleasures coming from pretending you're away for a poo but you're actually having a wank.
Spoonsky - Nice enough little fellow. Seems genuinely quite a bohemian hipster sort rather than putting it on for show.
SvN - Another good guy, never skim his posts but can't think of much more to say.
The Merse - Christ that break up hit hard. Merse is definitely a bit of a try hard, always wants to be seen to be doing something cool and OUT THERE.
Waffdon - Another I love digging out but he doesn't take it as well. I see him as the kid at school you used to dare to eat deodorant for 10p or throw dog shit in people's hoods and get a kicking, but he he did it anyway and was happy because you let him stand next to you at lunchtime.
wullie - Some of the one liners are awesome, especially subtle ones hidden in the middle of massive paragraphs of text.
Yevrah - Not much to say these days, FM and movies were/are good, but not about so much anymore.

On the whole it seems the board has mellowed. No coincidence given certain figures have left.

:D Fucking hell.

Jimmy going fully mental would be good for the board if that list is any indication.

We got Sky in 1998. I don't think a great many people had it before that sort of time, although saying that I think we became a lot more well off around the '97 mark (funny that) so it could be confirmation bias.

We had it for a month in about 1997 when the builder that did our extension got another deal on it, and gave us his old Sky card. My dad got us a box a year or two earlier so we could watch Cartoon Network. I remember recording the Braveheart premiere from Sky Movies. Then one day we woke up and they were all scrambled again.

Bit more:

igor_balis – Just a pure legend. Sensitively unhinged and a big, messy ball of disappointment. That’s what makes him so endearing. Igor’s life is like that stain on the living room carpet that just won’t come out no matter how much Vanish you pour on it. A total replace and re-fit is required. This will be needed one day for him to progress with life. I’m interested to see how it develops. A failed suicide attempt, a horrible, violent relationship spawned from Tinder, a declaration of bankruptcy after being conned by a group of online devils pretending to be Bronies in need of some new outfits. I love him, though.

ItalAussie – a very valued poster. Ital hasn’t changed one bit, in his views, his thought processes or anything else. He’s still the same mathematical bible bashing bigot genius he always was.

Jimmy Floyd – There was a point where he almost became a parody of himself in the Jobs thread, but I’ve started to notice him in a lot of other threads too which is a great thing. Hardly ever interact with Jim because he doesn’t really need interacting with. Just let him do his thing and enjoy.

John – mmm. Has gotten worse, not sure why. Still makes me laugh, but has cooled it down. No real explanation. Annoyingly his recommendation of South Indian Garlic Chili Chicken is now my favourite curry, so every time I get one I think of him destroying me.

John Arne – Hardly ever noticed him on the old board, but notice him a lot here. Maybe it’s the time difference; my first check in the morning always shows JA as the last poster. He’s another enigma. A seedy, white guy living in Vietnam? Do we even know why or how? Sinister cunt.

Kikó – makes himself out not to be, but the flashest wanker on the board. Probably wouldn’t think twice about stabbing you in the back if it meant a slighty upwards sidestep in his career. A most untrustworthy type. I know he only arranged that meet with the aim of furthering his professional life. Bastard.

Lee – doesn’t post anymore so fuck him.

Leedsrevolution – A tremendous mess. Like an Elephant abortion that the mother has sat on afterwards. And that’s a literal comparison too. That being said, he also is very much unhinged and clearly doesn’t give a fuck what anyone thinks. Another endearing trait. Supports LUFC too so I’ve got time for LR.

Lewis – I’ve noticed he’s a lot more mature, probably comes with the whole PUBLISHED WRITER thing (so-called). Still as funny as ever and a real powerhouse on here. Without him undoubtedly we’d be worse off. Really hope he doesn’t end up keeping his mother in the house when she dies, and sniffing her old clothes. Freaky cunt.

Luca – So much of a not bastard he’s actually a total bastard. No man can have it this good without some horrifying catch. Probably the leader of an Indian paedophile ring.

Manc – Igor on crack. A tremendous addition to the board. I’d love to know what happened when he went missing for a few months. Probably not something you could put in to words mind you.

Mazuuurk – Quite easily offended and a total ‘dad’. Has some good banter but definitely not someone you could disclose stuff with, like sexual fantasies etc as he’d probably shirk away and try and talk about how much he loves multiculturalism or something. As straight as a die.

Mellberg – A don. Just wish he’d post more. Can’t even do that good an entry but he looks like a better version of Bear Grylls.

Mert – Nope. Still don’t get it. Lauded for his Trump prediction but we all know that wasn’t a prediction, it was a desperate cry for validation of his quite frankly weird white, middle-America views. Now this has happened I expect him to become absolutely unbearable on world issues (climate change, for example). Backed up with his pseudo-wordsmith, University challenged way of debating anything, and also a splash of intern lawyer and we have a poisonous cocktail of utter wankery.

Mike – A nice bloke. Probably a really great teacher, and a night out with him and Baz would be much fun. He probably reigns Baz in from being a total lunatic which can only be a good thing.

Mikem – now THIS is how you present an argument. Very knowledgeable and I could read his posts all day long. Another fantastic addition.

Mokbull – Another weirdo. A mixed background you can tell he really doesn’t fit in to any preconceptions. Tries to be this, tries to be that but ultimately achieves nothing. That said, I still have time for Mokkers, but he can be a real tit at times.

niko_cee – Another really good poster. Just really adds here and there without having anything standout or LOOK AT ME (I’m niko_cee!). Wish he’d disclose more about himself, I know he has kids. It would be good to know more about his fathering. So I can compare, obviously.

Offshore Toon – Used to really hate this little wank, but I think that’s because we were quite similar growing up (omg that’s weird to say that on a forum). Quite like Offy now, hope he does well for himself (and also post more).

Panda Bear – why is he in here. Never fucking posts even though he has so much to add. A bit out there, but I love him. A really genuine bloke and seems proper interesting too. Pretty sure you’d have to torture the guy for hours before he said a bad word about anyone.

7om – Once I get past the existential crisis brought on by trying to decide of it should be Sevenom or Zom I rather enjoy...his posts, good sense of humour too.
Adamski – Either got a lot better recently or I just started paying attention, whichever it is I approve.
Andy – Drifts in and out but it's always worth reading what he has to say.
Andy Mahowry – The self flagellation clearly belies some anxiety issues but I do like Mahow, despite all the spastic pajamas and foreign kitkats, although I'm amazed he never got any stick for going to the Ukraine without a fucking coat! That was the most mental thing about the whole escapade.
Angelsaint – I think even if he properly understood people's replies he would still post something batshit as an answer.
Baz – It's odd to think he's now our overlord, the genial little scamp. Impossible to dislike.
Boydy – A tricky one this, despite the more maudlin whingy stuff he still seems like someone I (who also enjoys a bit of a gripe) would get on with.
Browning – You know you can just stop watching the wrestling when it gets shit right? I joke, I joke, He's pretty decent most of the time.
bruhnaldo – When you're from the country that thought this was a good idea https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRITqS6WEn0 what chance do you really have?
Byron – I have a generally positive opinion of Byron but I couldn't put my finger on why exactly so I must assume that he's consistently good. Well done you I guess.
Clunge – Good when he pops up, I approve.
Cord – Flies under the radar a bit but still very good.
Dark Soldier – Appears happy with his lot, which pleases me.
Davgooner – Not even a real Dave, the charlatan.
dino – I wouldn't even know how to place a bet and have never so much as entered a bookmakers so someone who makes a living from it I see as basically a wizard. And a nice wizard at that.
Dquincy – Just a dickhead.
Foe – Properly good, well done to you sir.
Giggles – Yeah ok, I spent a while having a pop at every opportunity but in my defence I had fun doing it so that makes it ok. He really does appear to only post negatively about whatever the subject is, I'm sure that's partly my own confirmation bias and for all I know he might wax lyrical about shit that I'm not bothered about (there are threads about music, phones, watches etc that I don't think I've ever even opened). It's also just fun sometimes to poke someone who'll react in an enjoyable way but at the same time is never going to give a shit (I mean why would you?), plus there's the bonus of the occasional properly good deadpan response that you can't help but admire a little.
GS – Someone cleverer than me could probably write a bot that would ably replace GS these days.
Hammer – I wonder if all the spanking acts as a counterpoint to the general affability that he displays in everything else (yes I know it doesn't work like that, I just like the juxtaposition is all). Possesses one of the best attitudes you're likely to find and pairs it with a very pleasing turn of phrase.
Henry – Visits so infrequently that one almost forgets how genuinely creepy his bullying of old was.
Ian – What a gent Webly is, one of the best people on the board. My wrestling marathon is objectively better but he actually stands a chance of finishing his.
igor_balis – I imagine knowing igor would be a bit like owning an excitable puppy, on the one hand it'll do basically anything for a laugh and you'd have a great time but only on the understanding that it will occasionally take a great big shit behind the sofa.
ItalAussie – Pretty great and has been for years, what else is there to say?
Jimmy Floyd – A while back I spent an afternoon casting prominent F1 figures in the roles of appropriate members of the government of Nazi Germany circa 1942. Ron Dennis ended up being Rommel which turned out to be more prescient than I was expecting. It was also necessary for there to be about eight Gorings.
John – Miles better when not trying to roast someone over nothing, which often makes him look like a bit of a dickhead. On the other hand will probably be responsible for me buying FM as his travails in various footballing shithouses are a joy.
Kikó – Probably finishing off his list right now.
Lee – Gone, which is a shame for us.
leedsrevolution – If one of his posts was ever funny it's buried by the awful, desperate rubbish that is his normal output. Cringe inducingly bad most of the time.
Lewis – What's to say really? I kind of wish he could get a job doing something he wants to do because it must be fucking maddening having a brain and not having a decent opportunity to make use of it properly. Does having a home life that sounds like an episode of Sorry (no I;m not letting that one go) and a fat inbred dog make up for that? Maybe.
Magic – I sometimes wonder if I offend him by making really quite harsh personal jokes at his expense but (unless he slopes off to piss himself in a departure lounge every weekend) he seems to take it all in the spirit it's given. A driving force behind this place, you wonder if we'd have made it work if he wasn't such a dickhead to his wife from the start.
Manc – Pigeons are twats, you did exactly the right thing.
Max Power – An essential part of the cricket thread that I read religiously yet understand almost none of. A good egg.
Mellberg – As long as he's off doing happier things then that's great.
Mert – You don't have to agree with the spirit of his posts (and indeed I don't) to acknowledge the top top trolling, it's an act played almost to perfection. And while he's actually very good when he lets the mask slip you just know there's still a bit too much of the pastel polo shirt and loafers with no socks. He'll probably call me a wine sipping communist dicksuck or something now.
Mike – I always see him as Baz but turned down a notch or two which I reckon could be good or bad depending on the situation.
mikem – Posts rather knowledgeably and sensibly about politics and current affairs (that's a term that you only really see in episodes of Going for Gold but I reckon we can bring it back) but not much else that I'm aware of.
niko_cee – One of the most consistently good people on here.
Panda Bear – Good to see him pop up every now again the sexy Canadian beast.
Pepe – Pepe is great.
Phonics – Very good and deserves to work for less twattish people (although good luck with that in design) but while he's all cool on here and comes across as someone you'd happily share a beer with you know he's sitting there judging our fonts and stuff.
Queenslander – Good stuff, just the right amount of aussie enthusiasm and male pattern baldness.
randomlegend – Has taken refuge in the world of complex confectionary every since I donned him senseless at Worms that time. A good chap all round, gammy legs notwithstanding.
Raoul Duke – Another very good stalwart of the board, excellent on a range of things.
Reg – I used to think he was deathly dull but that would be rather unfair, posts mainly about football about which I'm only mildly interested. Puts the effort into making the requisite threads etc so credit is due there because there's precious few who put the effort in these days.
Sam – I have a very real dislike of his avatar and try as I might I can't stop that affecting my opinion of his posting which (although entirely on me) is a shame because he's pretty good.
Samadini – Come a long way since the spider infested, hobo furniture days but is still very much the same solid guy, I very much approve.
Shindig – Bumbles along unspectacularly these days but there's a flash or two of the old magic to be found here and there.
SincereTheRebel – He caught a spider that time and, while I wonder at the sanity of anyone who didn't immediately drop something heavy on it from a distance, I'm not sure how anyone could dislike Sincere.
Smiffy – As bi-polar on here as he probably is in real life but honest with it so it's hard to complain too much.
Spikey M – I associate him with being around when the board was at it's best and it's great to see him back and seemingly doing well. As if Brighton could ever have taken down Team Idiot.
Spoonsky – I considered making a 'too Mennonite' gag but firstly it didn't really work and secondly I'm not sure if they're even vaguely similar to Mormons so instead I'll just say that Spoon is pretty great and leave it at that.
SvN – Pleasingly solid and I'm ashamed to admit I only discovered very recently what the 'S' stood for after years of thing it was 'probably Simon or something'.
Waffdon – If you had to go to the awful places he does in order to watch terrible football you'd drink as well.
wullie – Still writes the most amusing posts even when it's just a few lines in the FM thread. One of the best.
Yevrah – Pretty quiet these days which is, on balance, a shame. FM stuff is still good as is his almost fanatical addiction to playing rpgs in the hardest manner imaginable.

For all that we've shrunk in the last few years, this is still a damn good online community. It really is.

You guys are great, and one day I'll write a list to tell you all why.

This is how I feel as well. Although I might need an English tutor to help me with a list.
