Because fuck the old titles.

Today I tried stuffing on my chicken fillet roll because the fella in front of me got it. I still left the cheese in the equation though. Immense to say the least.

Also found a stack of receipts for work that I thought I'd lost amounting to over €150.

7/10 for the title.

James ends with an s already. You'll make my brain explode.

This is why more time needs to be spent on this shit at the expense of Shakespeare and poetry in school.

Vim
23-09-2015, 02:19 PM
James's I'd say, but if the final s is because of plural then you just put the apostrophe without an s. That's how I learnt it at least.

Toby
23-09-2015, 02:21 PM
James gets an extra S. James's.

If you say the extra "es" sound you add it. If you don't (as in, say, a surname like Bridges) then it's just an apostrophe.

James, Ross, Charles = James's, Ross's, Charles's
Bridges, Connors, Davies = Bridges', Connors', Davies'

Although there are plenty that are borderline and that lots of people say differently, so it's more a guide than a solid rule.

In Arizona we typically get Sonoran style Mexican food and you pretty much always get a pair. So they are always sold as "tamales". Or if you work in an office with more than 10 people somebody's grandmother sells massive batches of incredibly good tamales once a month as a side business.

Mostly, I was laughing at Jimmy following up "Mexicans must eat beans" with "Americans must get everyone's culture wrong."

That people aren't doing the rest of the ordering in Italian excuses any misuse of 'panini'. It's accepted the English usage, whereas 'panino' hasn't been used by anybody ever. It's comparable to, say, 'expresso'.

What is the difference between a piccolo and a macchiato?
Traditionally, a Piccolo Latte is a ristretto shot (15 – 20 ml) topped with warm, silky milk served in a 100 ml glass demitasse (small latte glass) … basically, a baby latte, as the Italian pronunciation suggests. There have been other names for this drink, such as the Spanish version Cataldo, or a Mezzo-Mezzo.

What.

If we're talking hot beverages, I have this bad boy. Temperature control.

I do like a piccolo, but I'm too uncouth to drink it in any more than two mouthfuls.

Temperature control kettle seems like a quite remarkable waste of money.

There's a difference. Americano is a shot from a machine with hot water. Black coffee can be any old brewed gruel.

They always give me the former when I ask for the latter so it's all good.

I got a Nespresso for homne because CONSISTENCY.

Fuck that. I like the coffee but I'd rather by my own beans and brew in a moca

I used to have one from tassimo but the pods ended up being a pain in the arse. Nespresso is a decent coffee though.

Expresso is a horrible bastardisation. Talking about coffee, my new favourite is a cortado/ piccolo. Like a mini latte.

Yeah, 'expresso' fucks me off. It's not even written like that.

The boss buys them in work so I just add to that order to kick in another discount and save myself the postage. Works out around 25c a go which is grand. The Lidl ones are grand when stuck too.

Bloody good. Although....keema nan needed more meat, and i mistakenly order an extra pilau rice. Why have some dishes which come with rice and others not. Confusing bastards.

Falling asleep while reading a book. It's such a lovely feeling. At the same time it fucks me off when I'm trying to get the reading done.

Discovered such an excellent place last night. £4 for 3 hours in basically a huge basement that has a huge proper bowling alley, loads of pool tables, darts, arcade games, and a cinema with massage chairs. 24 hours as well. It really was fucking brilliant as you could just go on whatever you wanted to for as long as you wanted, with beer that was only a quid.

Had the day off today so did a big clear-out of a load of boxes of my crap that had been sitting around since I moved back from England. Found a tax refund cheque in there dated December 2013. Was gutted that I'd missed out on cashing it. I didn't even know I had it. Googled how far back you can claim a tax refund. Apparently it's four years. Rang up HMRC and they're sending me out a new cheque so I made almost £300 today from deciding to finally tidy all that stuff up.

Anyway, how good is it to hang washing out? Free drying.

Definitely. Tumble dryers ruin clothes and drying stuff inside by any other method is shit too. Stuff always feel nicest when it's been dried outdoors.

Another reason to emigrate imo.

Sitting down, turning on the tv, and they're just about to kickoff.

I remember seeing a sock subscription site recently, where you get sent 28 pairs every 4 weeks. I think it might've been https://www.sockracy.com/ but they're going out of business.

I could have kept them afloat if I would have known sooner.
