I read them as they came out and at ages when I was more or less the same age as the main characters in each book, so you'll probably have a better adult overview than I do.

Ask for your money back lad.

I go to the hipster one nearby. The kind where they offer you beer or wine before starting and they asked me whether I wanted a barber or stylist the first time around (what's the difference? I asked. Think I ended with a stylist.) Still beats the other place nearby, where an old man just cuts at random and then uses a vacuum cleaner on your head.

It was surprising how much I'd forgotten. In Chamber of Secrets I had no idea who actually opened the pissing Chamber and the importance of the diary and whatnot. As this is the first time I've read them since release it's quite interesting to read them as an adult, give it a go.

Order of the Pheonix has got to be the worst. The first 100 pages or something were almost unreadable.

I'd reccomend the Edge Chronicles to anyone who likes the Harry Potter books.

Yeah Pheonix is a shocker.

I'd go with:

Goblet of Fire
Azkaban
Deathly Hallows
Half Blood Prince
Chamber of Secrets
Philospher's Stone
Order of the Phoenix

How can people say that Azkaban isn't action packed? About the last 200 pages takes place on that one night where shit goes down in Godric's Hollow. It's fucking ace

Azkaban is probably my favourite. Goblet was decent too and Order of the Phoenix just took the piss with its length. Half-Blood Prince is probably the worst from what I remember, although it's been nearly a decade since I read the last one so probably not the best perspective. They gradually getting bigger at the time of the fifth and I was worried about hurting my back reading the sixth book but thankfully she calmed the fuck down.

I look back on Lost very fondly (even the last few seasons that everyone says were shit), but I've been re-watching it lately and I'm not sure how I ever looked past how cheesy it is. Charlie's story arc in season one in particular is just a complete cringefest.

In terms of HP books I think Half-blood Prince and Order of the Phoenix are my favourite ones. I haven't read them in a long time, but I remember that I loved the whole insight into Voldemort's past that they explored in Half-blood Prince, and (almost) everyone loves a good old secret organization action story like Order of the Phoenix.

Azkaban remains the best film, hands down.

Aberdeen. It's not a great place to live. Everything is grey, the beach is shit and it's got a pretty solid heroin problem.

What time did you get up at today?

I wake up at 6AM every day for work. Pretty confident I was asleep by 8.30pm last night though.

What was your best subject at school?

Maths. I really should've just been a maths teacher and stayed up North. Or, used it to move across to America. I was shit at English and still are.

What's your favourite cuisine?

Golden nuggets with semi skimmed milk.

I don't read books. The last one I read was the Tim Tebow autobiography. Would not recommend.

Ask Lewis.

Do you think you get enough excercise?

I lift enough weights (frequency, not mass) but don't do anywhere near enough cardio so am a little bit chubby right now. I probably have a heart problem too given that every now and then I get cramps/stabbing pains in my chest which mean I have to stay perfectly still until it subsides.

What's the best TV series you've ever watched?

In terms of re-watchability, definitely American Office. In terms of just quality I'd probably say Recess.

Tea or Coffee?

Tea. Coffee is functional.

The members of TTHIRL only, though I can't remember how many of us there were. 5 or 6. (Kiko is mega at press ups).

Would you have voted for Clinton or Trump?

Tactically Clinton. She's terrible, but less terrible than Trump.

Where would you really like to go on holiday?

I want to do more of the US. Particularly the east and west coast. I'd like to do a sporting tour of the states, taking in college/pro football/basketball/baseball games across various states. Unfortunately my friends are shit and hate American things ala Partridge.

Who is your favourite current footballer?

Downsides: I don't have enough readily accessible savings available. That should change January once the car is paid off and I get past the 1 year vesting period for stock matches. I don't exercise as much as I should but recent weeks have seen me get back into it.

7.5/10. DC absolutely blows, I want to lose 10 more pounds and I have to deal with long-distance, otherwise things are alright. I'm also hungover right now which is probably making this score lower than it should be because objectively I should have no complaints.

How much did your last haircut cost?

$60

Do you think you get enough excercise?

I go to the gym probably 5 times a week, I would say I'm in decent shape.

What's the best TV series you've ever watched?

Season 1 of True Detective, especially the first few episodes, is masterful. South Park probably also merits a mention.

Tea or Coffee?

Neither, I like to go basic white girl without nearby Starbucks aka diet Coke for my caffeine needs.

How many members of "thedugout.tv" have you met?

1; Jordan back in the day when I interned in London.

Would you have voted for Clinton or Trump?

Proudly voted for the God Emperor in the NC primaries and general election.

Where would you really like to go on holiday?

Skiing at Chamonix. Easily my favorite vacation our family ever went on. Argentina seems like it could be fun as well.

Who is your favourite current footballer?

None. It's just not as fun as it used to be for some reason and I can't find myself caring, even about Fenerbahce.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much did you enjoy completing this questionnaire?

6/10, but I enjoyed reading everyone elses's so felt compelled to pay into the social pot.

What time did you get up at today?
8:30, snoozed til 9, then forgot my fucking glasses at home and endured a lecture blind for 2 hours before racing back and falling asleep

What was your best subject at school?
Math. Stats mainly, i'm not as good as the other people I study with at calculus-related things so I stick to lin alg and statistics. Also can don any politics/history class

What's your favourite cuisine?
Czech man. A good schnitzel and potatoes after a 2 hour tennis sesh is all i need. I've been fucking with doner a lot too since I got to Berlin

What was the last book you read? How was it?
The Wages of Destruction, Adam Tooze. Very solid, very economics intensive but contained just enough political intrigue to tie it all together.

On a scale of 1 to 10, overall, how satisfied are you with your life currently?
7. Would be a 9 but i just interviewed at Palantir's London office and got rejected and also kinda got mugged so I'm a bit sad but I'll figure out what i'll do eventually.

How much did your last haircut cost?
20 euro, and the girl didn't understand a word I said

Do you think you get enough excercise?
Until September I did, then i took up cigarettes and the only food place near my house is McDonalds and the only gym is Fitness First Women, so you can extrapolate from that

I don't watch TV

Tea or Coffee?
Coffee

How many members of "thedugout.tv" have you met?
None, would be down to do a case day with Spoonsky

Ibiza would be sick. I would love to do a Middle East tour once shit cools down, went to Morocco in September but it was still pretty Western.

£23, including tip. Went to the Turkish geezers who do the works: eyebrow trim, singeing ear hair etc.

Do you think you get enough excercise?
No. Maybe get to the gym twice a week if I'm lucky. I'm not as motivated as I should be with it, even though when I go I enjoy it/the effects of it. Too much travel for work means I'm knackered

What was your best subject at school?

Wizard and Glass by Stephen King, I'm working my way through his Dark Tower series. It was really good, maybe the best instalment so far.

On a scale of 1 to 10, overall, how satisfied are you with your life currently?

6. Kind of bored, but also kind of happy enough to be largely responsibility free. Possibly need to grow up a bit though.

How much did your last haircut cost?

I think about £12.

Do you think you get enough excercise?

Definitely not. I've always been lucky enough to remain stick thin, regardless of what I eat or do, and therefore found my lack of exercise very easy to ignore, but I think I need to start doing some again now I'm getting on in years a bit.

What's the best TV series you've ever watched?

Probably The Shield.

Oh yeah haha that's the drugs bridge and after it, on the non-Berghain side of the water, is Görlitzer Park, which exists solely to provide room for drug dealers to peddle their wares. Me and my friends will go there for our shit and get whistles from three directions the moment we step through the gate, then it's like a 4x100 relay as our sub Saharan African drug dealer buddies race around the park to try to figure which of their colleagues has the white tiger pills this time.

I dont know how the City of Berlin allows an entire city park to just openly become a drug haven like that but it's good for people like me. Business is efficient.

It's the name of that specific method of cooking, that vertical, open spit. The word means to rotate or to revolve or something in Turkish. Disco has it, if it's the smaller skewers cooked in a Tandoor then it's Shish.

Proper Turkish food seems to be the new in thing round here. We still have pleanty of the normal ones, but also places like http://istanbul2.co.uk/food.html

Which, shit website aside, is great. Havez (or Hazev, I can't be arsed to google another one) at Canary Wharf is similar.

Based on my one visit to a Turkish restaurant, would it be fair to characterise Turkish 'cuisine' as flame-grilled meat and bread? Because if so then they're onto something, and John should probably have given them his sister.

Best kebab I've ever had is the place just outside Amsterdam train station.

Not sure what it looks like now, but this is it about a decade ago:

That's exactly what it is, along with a bit of that bulghur stuff for the more flamboyant gay gays amongst us. There's a top quality 'proper' Turkish place at the end of my road.

Mega. It's a Polish supermarket now, which is probably better on balance.

The Kebabs in Istanbul were served in baguettes which, if anything, made them all the more awesome.

http://www.bosphorushitchin.co.uk/menu.htm

I went there yesterday.

Shared sucuk (spicy Turkish sausage, spinach and feta borek and grilled octopus for starters with the mixed feast (cubes of lamb shish, chicken shish, chicken wings, chicken 'beyti', kofte and some lamb chops) and moussaka for main.

It was lovely and pretty damn quick too.

Turkish food is great.

Their sauces are awesome. More cuisines need to incorporate yogurt into their food

Go to the Green Lanes in London for 'proper' doner, or the Edgeware Road if you're a wanker. I'm actually slightly saddened to read that my old local (Yayla) has apparently permanently closed.

Both the piled meat version and the elelphant leg are magnificent in their own particular ways.
Yeah, the Turkish places down by Dalston are pretty good.

YouGov have a tool which is like that on a huge scale, so you can find out that Lib Dems disproportionately like mayonnaise and that sort of thing. It's pretty cool.

I fucking love that site. Me and my mate were playing stupid games using it, like trying to guess the most right-wing vegetable, the favourite musician of a Worcestershire CCC fan etc etc. I'm such a loser.

It also provided this absolute beauty, which I shared with the old board:

At the Southern end of Faliraki beach there is an official naturist beach called Mandomata Beach, which has a small tavern as well as a couple of public toilets.

Never heard of it but it sounds like a wonderful place.
