Not that much ever happened in the old one but we might as well have it.

Prompted by Ferguson's claim that he only had four "truly world class" players: Cantona, Giggs, Ronaldo, Scholes.

"World class" is a bit of a nonsense term but I'd have Giggs as too inconsistent over the course of his career. And unless you';re wrongly discounting goalies altogether Schmeichel definitely was.

Ferdinand was World Class, he was WC when he played for us.

Van Nistelrooy, Schmeichel, Ferdinand, Neville in their day.

Could even make a case for Beckham and Keane too if you tried hard enough.

No, no, yes and no.

Shit I forgot about Beckham. Yes in that instance. Not sure about Keane.

In his last book Ferguson said Mascherano wasn't up to much and that Tom Cleverley was, so he might have just lost it.

Who was better than Schmeichel when he was at his peak?

Arguably Preud'Homme. Beyond that I can't think of anybody.

United reckon they will break half a billion revenues this year, which ought to make them the richest club in the world.

Memphis Depay’s replica shirt was the third most popular in the world behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo between July and September, according to retailer Kitbag.

The MARQUEE SIGNING stuff makes a bit more sense when you read that. Somebody like Bareth Gale would sell trillions of shirts.
