11 years since I was at Sevilla v Atletico at about this time of year (on the same weekend as Chelsea v United - I think United won 1-0 Fletcher or something) and Nernando Norres was playing for Atletico then as well. Nothing ever changes. Except Milan, apparently.

Very rarely seen as many late challenges in one half as from Tottenham here. If you match their work rate, they get a bit put out.

Can BT really not find better co-commentators than fucking Glenn Hoddle and Robbie Savage? And if they can't, must they really make us suffer both of them at the same time?

Jimmy Floyd
22-10-2016, 05:18 PM
Shit commentators are probably in their commercial interests, as they get loads of social media traffic and mentions from people moaning about them.

Max Power

Best performance of the season. Big calls from Ranieri to bin Albrighton and especially Vardy, but we are so much better with Okazaki in the team.

There was a poll on RAWK (http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=239047.2520) for worst pundit/commentator, that Martin Tyler ran away with. Carragher wasn't even an option. :D

Motson was the single worst thing to happen to football in the last half decade.I have to agree with this. The man is a dithering idiot who needs at least three replays to see what's happened.

Commentators in football are just recognisable voices, at the end of it. That's why they drag in three studio guests and a co-commentary to provide colour. If you want proper commentary, head into motorsport.

I think that's the most appalling defensive error I've seen for many years.

Reg
23-10-2016, 01:00 PM
It was really poor.

Two draws and two losses before this for City. I imagine if they don't win today it'll be Pep's worst run ever, results wise.

Sir Andy Mahowry
23-10-2016, 01:01 PM
It's amazing how many mistakes all these 'BALL PLAYING NONCES' that Pep needs make.

Reg

I don't know if that was meant to be zonal or man, but it was awful marking.

Fair play Stones. It's nice when players redeem themselves like that.

It's actually quite disgusting that Mourinho has set up to shit out two 0-0's in these games. Proper David Moyes stuff and it should be testing the limits of his reputation, not creating a narrative that the media all fall in line with.

Thank fuck Fellaini is gone.

Hopefully after that horror show he's never used again.
He was quite good on Monday. But he's never good when he has an even slightly ambiguous role. On Monday he defended alongside Herrera and took the least risky pass available. Under van Gaal in the matches when he was decent he got up the pitch and was a lump. Today, who knows.

Several players have had their worst performance in years. That fact, added to the first 30 seconds, means this result was always a possibility. Could still end up being 6, especially as the players have given up.

Mahrez and Vardy on the shortlist for the Ballon d'Or.

I would imagine a lot of people are sick of hearing about the 'fairytale' and so on, I am myself to a certain extent. But then things just happen and you have to pinch yourself again. Two Leicester City players up for the Ballon d'Or, two players I watched play for us in the Championship no less. Okazaki to win it next year obvs.

Reg

I have no idea why 3-4-3 works, but apparently it does.
I think part (maybe a big part) of it is freeing Hazard up to attack. Much of the system seems to be based on counters, which suits your quick players - Moses, Kante, Pedro, Hazard. From what I saw Chelsea under Mourinho were at their worst when in prolonged periods of possession, with loads of ponderous passes. Costa is better when he's being a striker and not dropping too deep; I think he's another one better on the break. There might also be the simple reason that Conte is better at and has had more experience coaching 3-defender systems.

phonics
25-10-2016, 07:57 AM
Also most teams haven't coached on beating 3 man defenses so it'll take some time to work out.
