I'm torn on playing my Seahawks tonight. I was planning on going Foster/L.Murray, but that match up against the 49ers is tempting for Lynch.

Also I've no idea how playing him would affect my being able to trade him afterwards. I've not seen any trades go through on players who have already played, so I've no idea if you lose the points etc.

Sir Andy Mahowry
22-10-2015, 08:05 PM
It would go through the following week.

Gray Fox
22-10-2015, 08:26 PM
In that case, I've caved in and put Lynch in. Though I wont be awake for when the game starts so if he gets pulled in pre game, I'm fucked.

So.... Kaepernick....

Thank fuck I kept him on the bench.

Yeah we all know what I'm going to score this week.

Let it be a lesson learned that my following the 'form player' has it's occasional weaknesses.

So Gronk has finally been traded. He's going to the guy who I already thought was going to win the whole thing. Going the other way are Cobb, Gordon and Witten. Also looks like my Luck deal is off and the Murray for Graham swap has been withdrawn by the Murray owner.

It was all looking too good to be true anyway.

Not a chance I'm losing this matchup.

I was going to start Christine Michael (if he gets the touches the Cowboys should give him, he will go nuts) but after hearing that Gordon is out I went for Oliver.

Browning
25-10-2015, 01:58 PM
Hmm... I've just grabbed Oliver. Should I put him in over Matt Jones? I've really been scraping the barrel for RBs in my 2nd league.

Don't think I'll pick him up in my main though, as I have Woodhead, who SHOULD be their main RB now.

Sir Andy Mahowry
25-10-2015, 02:00 PM
He wont, Woodhead is a pass catching/change of role back.

Oh and yes, Oliver is a better play than Jones.

Browning
25-10-2015, 02:07 PM
He's also their red zone/goal line back, so in a PPR I'd much rather play Woodhead. I am tempted to pick up Oliver as a back up player but not sure who I have that's droppable, so probably won't. I just can't bring myself to bin Ellington/Spiller even though they're a shower of shite. They're one injury (to Ingram or CJ0K) away from being big players.

Sir Andy Mahowry
25-10-2015, 02:08 PM
Spiller will never be a big player.

Browning

25-10-2015, 08:14 PM

It actually looks like I may win regardless... Hoyer. :D

Gray Fox
25-10-2015, 08:21 PM
I'm 0.5 points behind the league average now after leading comfortably most of the day. Thank you guy who has about 40 points more than any one else.

All I need is one of Rivers, Cooper, Fitz or even Bailey to go big. Watch me lose this by a couple of points and cry.

Browning
25-10-2015, 11:44 PM
My team's absolutely smashed it this week... why did they wait until we were 1-5 to actually show up.

QBS: Hoyer (28.46) and McCown (13.73) Vs Luck (30.16) and Teddy (24.93)
RBs: Forsett (TBD) and Woodhead (36.75) Vs Murray (TBD) and Lynch (19.56)
WRs: Julio (26.07), Robinson (22) and Decker (16.71) Vs Antonio (18.52), Cooks (14.79) and T.Williams (12)
TE: Delanie Walker (15.43) Vs None (He has Bennett in... and it looks unlikely he'll be able to pick one up, mainly because I'm preventing it :D)
Flex: Garcon (11.43) and Mike Evans (29.71) Vs Boldin (7.29) and Ingram (25.25)

His kickers put up 6 points combined where as Santos got me 11 and Tucker is yet to play. My defense (Seattle) outscored his Bills by 6 points, and then his 3 IDP players put up the same total combined as the 2 of mine that have played, including Jones who got his 2nd pick 6 in as many games (Thanks Hoyer!) so whatever Mosley gets will be added to my score.

Currently on 252.79 which is more than any other team is projected to get once they finish. The 2nd best team is on 243 but is finished. I'm projected to hit a massive 286.71.

We'll need to do this more often to have a prayer though.

Gray Fox
26-10-2015, 12:03 AM
After all that garbage time loveliness from Rivers and Cooper being amazing I now sit as the highest point scorer of the week, with only Larry Fitz to play tomorrow. I'm almost 50 points ahead of the league average, so I've won already. The guy in 2nd has 125 points to my 130, with him having Newton still to play. I could well finish top overall, depending on how badly the Eagles lose tonight. This is all while losing 13 points by playing McCoy over Foster(RIP). Rams D/ST was the steal though 25 points just from them.

Just as the Raiders game finished I got a trade offer. Lynch, Forsett and Bradford for Luck. Had Foster not just died I'd have been interested in negotiating this, however there's not a great deal on waivers still there at RB. He's only interested in Lynch really but I'm not sure there's any real way to come out of this without being ripped off.

Browning
26-10-2015, 11:20 AM
I'm likely to need to add at least 1 WR if not 2 off free agency to get through next week unless you think Starks is a more viable play as I stashed him. Options are D.Adams, Hankerson, Stevie Johnson, Washington or Royal with an outside shot at getting V-Jax but I doubt it as he's on waivers. Or I could go for TE with a choice including Rodgers, Ebron, ASJ, Cook, Daniels and Miller. Just got so many bye weeks. Any thoughts?

As I have to move fast I've grabbed Adams but not convinced he will play. So yea any other opinions I'll still need to hear them.

Gray Fox
26-10-2015, 12:04 PM
I'm not sure about Starks. Packers are @ Denver and then @ Carolina in the next 2 weeks. While he looks like he'll get as much work as Lacy, that still might not mean much against a couple of stingy defences. I'd go for V-Jax personally. Beyond 2 or 3 tight ends, you just can't rely on them for points.

Guy has popped up with Murray for Graham again but I think I'll reject it. I'll be dropping Foster out this week and back down to 4 RBs. It's between Jarvis Landry, Mike Evans and Alshon Jeffery. I'm leaning towards Alshon, but not sure if that's the right call. I'll be moving up the waiver list this week.

The guy who I want Luck off will now be bottom, 2 games clear of the rest, in the only non play-off place. Should I get using this to my advantage? Bradford looks awful still and it looks time to cut ties. The only waiver QB is Cutler and that he would be a better option says a lot about Bradford.

Browning
26-10-2015, 06:01 PM
Denver isn't really that scary a match up for RBs, it seems.

I'm half tempted to play Starks but I've grabbed Stevie Johnson and Adams just in case. The downside is I really don't have anyone who is droppable so if Adams is injured I may have to drop him again. Well, I have 3 kickers on the roster.... but 2 of them are Tucker and McManus who I don't want to part with (I just grabbed McManus today, but he sure would nullify some of the pain if Peyton keeps being shit) and the other is Santos who I want for Wembley on Sunday. I may have to part with one though, assuming Ellington doesn't completely shit the bed tonight and make me part with him. I've already cut McCown which wasn't that nice because I actually thought he played better than his points suggested on Sunday, but sounds like he might be injured for a while.

I just need to get through this week and then it should be easier with byes. Missing Robinson, Garcon and Reed in one go really is a pain in the arse when I've had to stockpile so many QBs. Currently I don't have a DE on my roster at all... but I'm happy to play without one if at all possible.

Oh and yea... V-Jax would be nice, but I doubt I'm getting him. It would mean 6 other people passing on him.

Gray Fox
26-10-2015, 11:15 PM
Always worth putting in the claim. I had Barnidge as one of my later claims the week I got him. Right in the middle of his scoring streak too, so I'm shocked I got him.

They guy offering me Murray also has Doug Martin on his bench. He has AP and Freeman starting so there's no chance he's dropping either of those. I'm tempted in a counter offer for Martin. He's said to me he's offering me it because he 'felt bad' about Foster going down, but bullshit to that. We'll see how much he wants Graham.

Browning
27-10-2015, 02:09 PM
I've taken the punt on Ebron, just because of Wembley. But also he's got double digit points every week except the one where he went off injured, so I'd take that considering how I'm scraping the barrel this week. Annoyingly my opponent doesn't have a single player on bye, so he's got to be the favorite.

I cut Adams. He's only the 3rd WR now (possibly 4th to Richard Rodgers) and probably still feeling effects from the injury... he's too much of a risk.

With Forsett on bye next week I'm going to be fucked at RB. As it stands my best bet will be to play Starks, or to take a punt on one of the Titans back field. Is this Andrews geezer for real, or are they going to give it to Cobb assuming he's back? I'm guessing the answer is RBBC... which means I won't be able to use any of them. After them I'm looking at the likes of Sims/Riddick/Pole/Darkwa/K.Robinson.... yey....

Or I could play Spiller or Ellington. :D

Sir Andy Mahowry
27-10-2015, 04:27 PM
The answer, with the Titans, is partially RBBC but primarily 'let's not bother running it much at all'.

16 carries in total for Titans running backs against the Falcons (Andrews had 10) with them letting Mettenberger throw 35 times.

They're horribly mismanaged and really should run the ball more to create more passing opportunities but they let Mariota and, for this past week, Mettenberger throw far too much.

Freeman 25 rushes - Titans RB's 16
Lamar Miller 19 rushes - Titans 18

That's their last two games.

Andrews is getting the majority of the carries but is only averaging 3.6 yards a carry, however, it's hard to get in a groove when you're barely getting double figure carries a game.

I might roll with him this week though considering how bad the Texans are right now.

Browning
27-10-2015, 06:33 PM
Yea, if it was this week I wouldn't feel too bad rolling with Andrews. But it's next week where I need help. I'll be able to drop Santos then so won't have to worry about who I drop... but just need to find someone to play.

That said if I want to hold Tucker I'll need to replace Santos with another Kicker, rather than a RB.

I'm 4-3 now and near enough set for the playoffs

Week 8 Lineup

QB: Joe Flacco-BALT (Might need a new QB, Newton is taken but I'm not overly keen on him as he's been hot and cold all season in my team. Suggestions?)
RB: Danny Woodhead-SD
RB: Ronnie Hillman-DEN (Bye week last week so he's back. Pretty much a no brainer in my books.)
WR: T.Y. Hilton-COLTS
WR: Mike Evans-TAMPA (What a don )
WR: Brandon Marshall-JETS (Replacing him for Steve Smith-BALT (hopefully)...is this a good move?)
TE: Ladarius Green-SD (Dropped Graham to the bench for him. Snapped him up for free last week. I should really start him but there must be other good TE options out there surely?)
K: Justin Tucker-BALT (No brainer. Must start.)
D/ST: Minnesota Vikings

Bench:

DeMarco Murray, Dustin Hopkins and the Redskins are all on a bye week but I'm replacing them with the Packers D/ST through the waivers and I'm tempted to start them over the Vikings. Forsett is also on the bench but I'm toying on the idea of starting Woodhead over him for this week despite the .4 point difference. Big Ben is still benched but he's back to being eligible on the IR list again so I might have to drop him completely :moop:

So the guy who runs the league today decided that trade deadline day(it was week 11) needed to be moved up. He's moved it to week 9, so now we only have until close of scoring on Monday to get any trades in. I expect to see people rushing to get last minute trades in.

My offer of Jimmy Graham for Doug Martin was accepted, so my only headache now is WR. I should be picking one up through waivering Foster out so the only business to address is if to trade away Demaryius Thomas to someone. Maybe Megatron or risk a move for Dez Bryant. Something like that.
I've told the Luck owner today that my only deal is Lynch and Bradford for Luck. I'll see if he panics closer to deadline day.

Gray Fox
28-10-2015, 12:53 PM
Ended up waivering in Alshon Jeffery. I wanted Landry after the recent Miami revival, but the number 2 pick got him. The person before me picked up Tony Romo, which is a little bit shit. I was hoping to pick him up soon, but hadn't seen reports of him throwing already.

This leaves the team, and my week 8 match up looking like this;

https://gyazo.com/ef83962d53d5296fe0b5956af1878ba7.png

His team has some tough games this week, but given the names there I'd expect him to win. We're both 3-4 going into this one.
The only 2 members of the team I'm not happy with right now are Demaryius Thomas and Sam Bradford. Allen Hurns was dropped by the guy who took Romo, so I may go there, but I wouldn't want to drop Thomas. There's a guy who has Keenan Allen rooted to his bench. He also has Megatron, Dez and Julio Jones so may be willing to trade, even though his team is a little bit obscene.

Last (1-6) plays 2nd last (2-5) this week and the guy in last looks like losing this one. If he does and I pick up the win, the play-offs are essentially secured.

I've been offered Allen Robinson for Latty Murray. Should I take it? Murray is probably my RB5(Forsett, Lynch, McCoy and Martin 1-4). The only issue being the guy seems desperate for me to do the trade. He must have asked me 4/5 time if I'd accepted it yet through the day.

It's making me suspicious. I've also started to turn an eye to pay-off week match now. We'll see what starts dropping on wavers, but trade wise I think that would be me done this season. Unless a deadline day offer comes in.

31-10-2015, 07:06 AM
Of *course* I'm facing fucking Brady this week.

Browning
31-10-2015, 05:06 PM
A guy in my league drafted Brady in round 4 and is constantly bragging about how he's going to be his keeper and win him the title this year and next. Little does he know the commissioner has all but decided to ban him due to a big argument they got into over a trade. The drama is going to be so fucking funny. It's all a bit pathetic on both sides but funny to read.

Gray Fox
31-10-2015, 11:19 PM
What was the argument Browning?

I like my league for exactly this reason. Even the guy running away with it at 6-1 isn't being cocky about it.

Browning
31-10-2015, 11:30 PM
Basically the guy who's about to be banned is well known for offering ridiculously crap trades to everyone, and skewing stats to try and trick people. For example he tried to sell Carr to me as an elite QB based on the fact he'd out scored both Manning and Romo so far. :D Ignoring the fact Romo has played 1 and a half games.... shit like that. I think it's pretty harmless though because everyone knows what he's like, and everyone knows not to deal with him. In another league I play with him he basically raped one team for Foster, Dez and Hilton all before they were injured. The injuries, I swear, are his punishment.

But he actually had a trade offer accepted which was Randle and John Brown for Foster and Victor Cruz (before Foster went down). Given that when Cruz comes back he's likely to be about equal to Brown... a lot of people felt he was getting Foster for way too cheap, and so it was veto'ed by the league. He then posted a whole bunch of rambling posts on the forum about how no trades should ever be veto'ed whatsoever and how people were trying to screw him over etc etc.... I stayed out of it but the commissioner rose to it. I won't miss the BS, haha.

Gray Fox
01-11-2015, 12:36 AM
You'll have to post the resulting MELTDOWN when he does get the boot. Flipping out over a veto on a trade is a bit pathetic really.

elth
01-11-2015, 06:32 AM
At the same time, unless there's clear evidence of collusion I don't think it's cool to be vetoing trades out of spite.

But I guess if you're playing like an ass, things will come back to bite you.

Browning
01-11-2015, 07:02 AM
The worst thing about him was every year he would try and make a big trade with another player who used to play with us but finally didn't renew this year. Said player would ALWAYS turn up for about 2 weeks then give up and then all but give his team away to this guy, and often he got away with it. We only had one other veto a couple of years back and that almost caused riots too but he got over it.

After that I just think people don't trust him. He makes a good point that we should be able to trust the other managers not to accept crap deals... But when you're offered a million of them I guess 1 is always gonna slip through.

Away from that... I had to drop Santos, but come on Alex Smith and Ebron at Wembley!

Should be pretty straight forward this week.

Gray Fox
01-11-2015, 12:57 PM
I have no idea how you're going to win either of those Mahow. Out of interest, how many teams are in each league?

I'm struggling to decide on line up for this week. At RB I currently have Martin and Forsett. They're playing the 2nd and 3rd worst run defences respectively, while Lynch is playing 11th worst. V-Jax being out is swaying me as I think the Bucs will use Martin more, but it is Lynch.
At WR I've got Jeffery and Fitz in over Cooper and Thomas. I'm not sure starting Cooper while he's at Revis island is such a great idea, while Thomas is suffering because of Peyton. But either Thomas gets some yards or the Broncos lose. I think I have it right, but there is temptation to restore the big names.

As for vetoing trades, I'd only ever do it if someone was being seriously robbed or in the case of people teaming up and swapping players week by week. The latter is going on in my league but it's set to commissioner review, so we can't do anything.

Sir Andy Mahowry
01-11-2015, 01:12 PM
The first is a mammoth 14 team dynasty league with a total of 25 roster spots (plus a further 10 for reserve) for each team, as such it's slim pickings.

The second is a standard 10 team league.

Gray Fox

Gray Fox
01-11-2015, 09:44 PM
So after the madness that was the Giants, Saints game, I'm 60 points ahead with him having Rodgers, Sanders, McFadden and Denver to play, while I have Mason Crosby.

I still feel like I'm going to lose. I'll be properly seething when I do, too.

Drew Brees getting 46.5 points is all kinds of good. The gutting thing is that my opponent has Manning. Any other QB in there and I've probably won already. As it happens I'm preparing the seethe.

Gray Fox
02-11-2015, 02:57 AM
He's going to be hot property for anyone who managed to sneak him in, especially considering the RBs that have gone through injury so far.

I'm still up by 44 going into half time. Best case scenario for me would be rushing TDs only. I think this is going to be very close though. A few GB field goals wouldn't go amiss either.

If I do end up losing it will be with the 2nd highest score of the week and will be the 3rd time that's happened to me.

Sir Andy Mahowry
02-11-2015, 05:43 PM
Well I somehow have managed to win both of my games.

The first was 114.40-81.69 with the second 114.78-49.68 (with Andre Johnson to play).

I am the third highest scorer in the first and the highest in the second this week though (albeit that could change) so it's not like I limped to these wins with my teams.

Gray Fox
02-11-2015, 06:05 PM
Looks like I was worried about nothing. Ended up winning 145.1 - 105.2. Other than Newton channelling his inner Drew Brees, that'll also be me with top score for the week. The 'transfer window' will also SLAM SHUT at about 5am in the morning so I expect to see some people panic trading.

I've won one and have a shot in my main league. All my team were abysmal except Smith and Julio but they've kept me in it. He needs 30 points from Stewart and 2 Carolina defenders. I expect him to get it knowing my luck but projections have them getting 25 and me winning.

I'm at a loss at what to do here. My options for QB2:

McCown or Johnny Football- But if it's the latter, then no thanks. McCown has been putting up consistently good fantasy numbers no matter what.
Fitzpatrick or Geno Smith- I could grab Geno now instead of McCown but it sounds like he's in the same boat as Fitz, who I'd have to wait for as he's just been dropped this minute. If Fitz starts I'd love to play him, but sounds like he won't.
Mettenberger, Foles, Gabbert, Cassel...

Any opinions would be welcome.

Gray Fox

That's a shit hand you've been dealt there. If Fitz has broken a thumb I doubt he'll play, but I'd say it's him or Foles as your best bet out of those.

I'm hoping them switching back to Johnny Football doesn't hurt Barnidge too much. He's been on fire.

In my league Ryan Tannehill has just been outright released 5 minutes ago. Might drop Sam Bradford and pick him up.

I've bailed on McCown, just too risky.

I've picked up Geno, who put up good numbers last week and faces a soft defense. I'll have to monitor it and hope he gets the start, and if he doesn't, try and make a move for Fitz or, if someone beats me to him, grab Foles...

Yeah BYE weeks have kicked in hard across our league. I lose Forsett, Lynch and Larry Fitz this week, though the rest for the former two is probably welcome.

Not picking anyone up on waivers has left me with 2nd pick for when the next lot go through. Dropped of note are Landry, McCown and Tannehill, with Vernon Davis not picked up yet. I'll probably go for Tannehill. He has a favourable play-off schedule and I can't rely on Sam Bradford(or any Eagles) for shit.

Week 9 match up(4-4 vs 2-6) has come around again and it looks like so;

https://gyazo.com/056aab771aecb1be2883444a3147a7b4.png

I'm a little lucky that the Seahawks and their kicker are out for him this week. He also has Luck and Hilton going up against a Denver defence that gave Aaron Rodgers fuck all last week. His tight end and Cutler however should both score well.

On my side of the fence, I've got Rivers in a good match up. Same for Thomas, Jeffery and Brees. My annoyance of the week comes in Johnny Football playing tonight. The 2 games he has played this season has seen Gary Barnidge pick up less than 6 points combined. Since he was dropped, Barnidge has gone on a 6 game streak of 10 points or more per game.

My opponent was dead last the previous week, but managed to pick up a win. If I can pull off a win here I go 3 clear of him with 4 to play.

Someone in my dynasty league dropped Arian Foster and as I have 1 roster spot available (I moved Keenan Allen and Branden Oliver to IR/RES and picked up Forbath) I decided to pick him up and put him in a reserve spot.

If he actually manages to get fit next year that will be a damn shrewd move.

Only possible change I will make is CJ Anderson (who actually looked good in the last match) coming in for Antonio Andrews if Ronnie Hillman is inactive. I should be fine regardless though.

I picked up Woodhead this week as someone dropped him, so he comes in for Yeldon who has a crazy hard matchup against the Jets and I'm going to roll with no kicker. Doug Martin and Thomas tried their best to fuck me over today. My game is by far the lowest scoring in the league. It's 66.1 - 76.2. He is done scoring and has no one else to play. I have Jeffery and Phil Rivers still to go. I need 5.05 points off each to take the win.

If anyone sees me not starting Amari Cooper again without good reason, they need to call me out on it.

If I do pull out the win, that's the playoffs sorted. I can almost guarantee that these will be the two lowest scores of the week so I'm lucky as hell to still be in it.

The Raiders offense has been something shocking this season. Crazy stuff.

Another Dalton - Gurley - Miller domination has me with a 5 game winning streak and a foot in the playoffs for the first time all season. Plus Dez looks like Dez again and I even scored with a last minute Delanie Walker pickup this week. When Demaryius Thomas is your worst receiver...

Yea, he's beaten me 6 times in a row unless I'm forgetting something. Last season he played Kaepernick and Vernon Davis against me and he threw 2 TDs to him and then neither did anything at all for the rest of the year. This year he played Fitz and Palmer and they hooked up for 3 TDs... it's ridiculous the luck he gets against me. I always finish higher than him, but I never beat him.

Woodhead's catch and Lambo's Field Goal makes it safe by Half time. Good lads.

I still have a losing record but 4-5 looks a lot better than 1-5. I'll be 1 game off the Play Offs now. Just a shame I go up against top of the league next.... but stranger things have happened.

Pulling it off against my bogey team with my QB2 and RB2 issues I had is an amazing result though. Fitzpatrick ended up the top scorer of all 4 QBs (though only 3 points separated him from Manning who was 4th of the 4, so they were all pretty much even). Watkins went off for him and put up 30 points but Delanie Walker put up 31 for me to cancel that out. Freeman, of course, came back to haunt me with 25 but Woodhead has 18 at the half so he may not even end up the top RB. Julio Jones, Mike Evans and Eric Decker all scored more than 20 for me, where as he only had Ivory get that number other than the ones previously mentioned. A good solid win.

Now I just need to find someone to pick up when I cut Lambo tomorrow. Any thoughts? I've already nabbed Starks, Karlos Williams and Bolden... so not one of those. I'm tempted to take a flier on Welker if he's still there, but with Foles throwing to him.... maybe not.

Gray Fox
10-11-2015, 03:17 AM
Depends on what position you need. Tavon Austin hasn't looked all too shabby with Foles throwing. Might be worth picking up Jordan Mathews if he's there too. He earned about as many points against Dallas, as he did the previous 5 games combined. He might have been dropped before the weekends game.

Also I'd imagine your trade window is closing soon, if it's not a dynasty league. Look to see who might be worth taking a punt on a trade for. If not, just wait to see who is dropped this week and pick up on that.

Browning
10-11-2015, 03:20 AM
I doubt either of those 2 are there. Unfortunately we have really big rosters so players like that don't tend to be free.

I'd be half tempted by Richard Rogers but I'm never going to sit Delanie Walker or Jordan Reed so..... not really worth it.

I guess I'll just wait until I need someone. Having an empty space on the roster won't hurt if there's really no one I want.

Browning
10-11-2015, 03:22 AM

https://gyazo.com/140303c423a57156cd86cccbc7af1d05.png

He hasn't switched his line up, but he'll most likely have Langford on for Hill, Austin in for Jones and grab a QB off waivers. I'm going to lose here. Gurley is going to tear me apart against the Bears and Gronk will be Gronk.

Speaking of Waivers, through asking about I know that Delaine Walker is being picked up ahead of me. I'm in need of a new TE while Jonny Football is starting. He hates Barnidge, but options are limited beyond that. Only really Rodgers or Bennett. Beyond that I'm set really. I'm not actually putting in any claims.
I'm sitting and waiting to see who is dropped, so it gives me a higher rank to pick them up on the Friday round.

This week's match up against top of the league (and the guy with all the dodgy trades, or at least, attempts at them).

QB: Peyton Manning and Ryan Fitzpatrick Vs Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady
RB: Justin Forsett and Jeremy Langford Vs DeAngelo Williams and Jeremy Hill
WR: Mike Evans, Allen Robinson and Eric Decker Vs Jarvis Landry, Jordan Matthews and Dorial Green-Beckham
TE: Delanie Walker Vs Gary Barnidge
Flex: Jordan Reed and James Starks Vs Julius Thomas/Jimmy Graham and James Jones/John Brown
DST: Pittsburgh Vs Jets/Carolina

Obviously, not sure what line up he will role with yet, and I'm sure he's not either. Beyond the QBs... I really don't like his team all that much. I guess DeAngelo is a big play as well. He doesn't have any other Running Backs having lost Lewis last week and Forte too, whilst losing Randle earlier on. He's actually offered me Hill and one of his back up WRs (Kendall Wright, James Jones) for Woodhead and Garcon which is tempting if only to leave him without a RB at all for this week... but I'm not going to do it, I like Woodhead too much.

I think I've got a shot at it. I don't like having 2 big players playing on Thursday night when I can't watch. I dread waking up to news that the Jets got destroyed. That said I've seen someone last week play Eifert on Thursday night and still lose... so anything can happen.

Choosing between Gronk and Eifert is tough this week. That first match looks too tough to call and I suppose rests on how Murray and West each does. I think you've won the 2nd match at WR. I think the Packers are going to come out stomping over the Lions after two tough weeks, but Hurns and Brown should put up good numbers. Provided Landry can keep throwing to Brown. Browning I'd start Starks and Langford with Woodhead. Packers have to bounce back this week or their season crumbles away and Langford can't be dropped after being RB1 last week.

While I'm not mathematically secured in the play-offs, it would take the mother of all collapses to lose it from here. I (5-5) go into this week behind my opponent(5-5) on projections for the first time this season. Though it is due to them not having Romo down to play yet.

There are a few problems. Barnidge on his bye week the main one. My RB corps is also looking very poor these days with it being depleted by injury and Forsett not being given the ball much. Jonathon Stewart(Panthers) is somehow still available on waivers and there's a big want to pick him up and drop either Martin or Forsett. Elsewhere if I can I'm dropping Crosby for Vinatieri, now that the Colts are picking up the ball on offence a bit more. I'm tempted to go without a TE this week, with the only decent one out there is Richard Rodgers.

Any thoughts are welcome.

I think I'm going to play Delanie Walker tonight. If he does his usual it'll be good enough from him (which is about 15 points in my league, but out scoring's stupidly high). That does mean I can only play 2 of my RBs... but with Starks being shit last week and Lacy being back he's probably a better bet, and I'm just not sold on Forsett after last week.

I'm going with Mariota.

I'll watch around half of the game tonight and the team I'm facing is pretty fucking shit (still has no QB this week), so I'll be fine regardless.

I think I got a TE and RB problem. Jimmy Graham and Justin Forsett are still in my squad (don't ask why) and I had to get rid of Jacob Tamme because Fleaflicker reckons he will flop badly this week. Woodhead and Langford are pretty much starting this week because I have no faith in McFadden starting against the Dolphins because of his groin playing up

Martellus Bennett is tempting to add though because of Peyton's injury :baz:

Him getting that 23 yard rushing TD accounts for about half of that though. But he's certainly been solid for a rookie year.

I had him in my original draft line up. Ended up swapping him out for Bradford. Never let me judge based on pre-season again.

My opponent has just brought in Osweiler and dropped Manning. There's now a temptation to play Demaryius Thomas to try and offset any damage he may do.

I've learnt the hard way never to do that. Just play your best players. If Brock scores 30 and Thomas scores 20 but the guy you benched gets 25 then offsetting has still cost you. I played Roddy White along with Julio to offset Ryan in week 2 and he scored fuck all.

My main league match up this week:

QB- Tony Romo and Ryan Fitzpatrick Vs Tannehill and Blake Bortles (13.84)

Was projected to win this by half a point, but Bortles scored 12 points less than his projection.

RB: Woodhead and Langford Vs Lamar Miller and C.West

Projected to lose this by 10 points.

WR: Decker, Robinson (15.57) and Evans Vs Marshall, Dez and Hurns (5.86)

This was projected to be pretty much even but Robinson only missed projected by 2 where as Hurns missed it by 8 points so it's slightly swayed to me.

TE: Walker (19.79) Vs Eifert

Walker has scored 5 more than Eifert's projection.

Flex: Julio Jones and Jordan Reed Vs Crabtree and Amendola

Another even one based on projections. Obviously Julio is my WR1 but I've got him here just because he was on bye last week.

Kickers: Bryant and Tucker Vs Gostkowski and Hauschka
DST: Seattle Vs St Lois
IDP: L.David, R.Jones and M.Bennett Vs N.Bowman, Haha Clinton-Dix and C.Campbell

Projection originally had him winning by 7 points but now has me winning by 18.

My opponent is fuming about the 4th quarter of those games. At the start the score was 136-100 which made him favorite quite comfortably as he had a lot more to come than me. By the end of it it was something like 190-100 and he's all but out of it.

My main league match up this week:

QB- Tony Romo (18.76) and Ryan Fitzpatrick (19.15) Vs Tannehill (18.20) and Blake Bortles (13.84)
RB: Woodhead and Langford (14.49) Vs Lamar Miller (8.67) and C.West
WR: Decker (11.79), Robinson (15.57) and Evans (16.50) Vs Marshall (16.86), Dez (15.21) and Hurns (5.86)
TE: Walker (19.79) Vs Eifert
Flex: Julio Jones (24.93) and Jordan Reed (10.29) Vs Crabtree (12.57) and Amendola
Kickers: Bryant (3) and Tucker (11) Vs Gostkowski and Hauschka
DST: Seattle Vs St Lois (9)
IDP: L.David (19), R.Jones (7.5) and M.Bennett Vs N.Bowman, Haha Clinton-Dix and C.Campbell

I might be fighting for a first round bye the way the scores are going.

The Alliance (2-8) 13.3-42.65 Plobster AFC (6-4)
Red Stripes Rookies (7-3) 45.55-105.5 GOAT BREATH (5-5)

CatsKill Keggers (7-3) 44.9-62.6 doit2it (4-6)
bud forever (2-8) 57.2-58.6 Gridiron Grizzlers (7-3)

So the updated Playoff picture would look something like this...:

Gridiron Grizzlers (8-3)
Plobster AFC (7-4)
##############################
Red Stripe Rookies (7-4)
CatsKill Keggers (7-4)
GOAT BREATH (6-5)
doit2it (5-6)

Broken arm will be 2-3 months. His season is over.

I can't cut him yet as he's locked til scoring is done on Tuesday. Looking at potential pick ups there's slim-ish pickings to replace him. Alfred Blue, Duke Johnson, Andre Ellington, Carlos Hyde and Ameer Abdullah are the ones I can see for now.

I think I may looks to drop the Rams too and go back to the Bills. The Bills have the NFC East in the play-off weeks and that's a good tie for the worst division right now.

One of the two Hawks fans in the league and the guy who is bottom picked him up just as I was about to. Well Rawls is currently on 32 points and the guy has him sat on his bench. What is the point?

They've got the Steelers week 12 so we'll get a better idea then. He also had a great game against the Bengals. The only 2 times he's had all the workload he's done well.

The real question here is do I drop Lynch out as well and try to pick up both Ware and Allen? Obviously if Lynch needs an operation he's getting cut, but he wont exactly be playing 100% through a hernia for the rest of the year.

Browning
23-11-2015, 06:58 PM
My opponent has Amendola and Gostkowski to come but if they got projection I'll win by 27 points so it should be in the bag. The whole league did shit this week. Lynch will meet the specialist tomorrow with the Seahawks apparently expecting him to have a hernia. If so he'll have surgery Tuesday or Wednesday and be out for the regular season.

Held on to record my 5th straight win, which keeps me in 2nd place. Such a tight league with 1 team at 7-4, 2 at 6-5 (including me) and everyone else at 5-6. Not that there's much in it points wise, but I have already played the top 3 scorers twice, which means I have a fairly "easy" run in. Should make the play offs despite my shambolic 1-5 start. But nothing is given.

I was spoilt for choice at RB the last few weeks with Langford, Woodhead, Forsett and Starks all looking great, and all of a sudden they all look shit. Forsett is gone for the year, Langford is back to being a back up, Starks seems to be heading that way and Woodhead was shite last week. I'm sticking with Danny as his role has never changed and he's always produced... but my RB2 this week? I have to role the dice on Alfred Blue against the Saints. That is, unless Ware and/or Coleman are named as starters. I should have moved quicker for Rawls/Allen.

It feels sickening having 2 Texans in the line up. I doubt even the Texans should start 2 Texans... but I can't sit Hoyer against that defense.

I've finally cut Pierre Garcon, which sucks as I drafted him in round 20 and he was great for the first few weeks as a starter in my side. Completely gone off the boil of late though, and I don't fancy the LOB, who failed to put up points against a Romo-less Dallas and the Niners to do anything against the Steelers... so I've picked up the Packers. Hopefully I won't regret that.

I still need to pick up a DL at some point, so someone else will need to be cut. Candidates are Peyton Manning, Karlos Williams, Tevin Coleman and Devin Funchess. Maybe Spencer Ware. Thoughts?

Gray Fox
24-11-2015, 11:38 PM
Browning playing anyone offensive against the Saints is probably the best move. If Lynch is out then Blue is what I'm rolling with too.

I've had Crosby as my kicker but it just fell at the time the Packers got spanked two weeks running. Tucker will probably improve in points scored due to having no one left to really finish plays on the Ravers. Out of that group I'd drop Funchess. Manning may well come back healed and rested and kick it up a gear yet, while Ware is still looking likely to play. West is seen as day-to-day and dodgy hamstrings are likely to go when we're almost in December weather.

Gray Fox
25-11-2015, 03:51 AM
As of now they say Lynch is being given a 2 week healing period to try and be ready for the run in. If so, he'll be back week 1 of the play-offs. His play-off run is @ Ravens, Browns and Rams. So he's worth keeping for that I think.

I've put a claim in for the Jets to drop the Rams. I just can't have my defence up against the Chiefs the way they are playing now. If they're still there, I'll swing back round to the Bills the week after.

Lastly, I found out today we aren't going on standings for our play-offs, but we're meeting up and doing a random draw. A little less fair, but could well spice things up. I've definitely made it, but I'm up against the guy who everyone is nagging at me to beat this week. We all want him to be the one not making it. No pressure for me :yn:

The news on Lynch didn't come out in time for me to get a waiver claim in and the guy with West, snapped up Ware. I got Allen and have had to settle for Blue as my RB4.

I go into this game on 5-6, with my opponent 2-9. I've already qualified for the play-offs, but there is pressure on this one. This is the guy who ran his mouth about knowing loads about the NFL and how good he was at fantasy at the beginning of the year. He's also the one everyone wants to finish dead last. With that being said my team looks like so;

https://gyazo.com/ac9d471397336a36c5ce1977f8485b8d.png

I don't think I can play a not yet 100% Romo against the Panthers when Brees and Rivers have good match ups. Allen is a shoe in against the Browns and McCoy seems back in his rhythm. However, Blue has a great match up this week and Martins isn't bad either. RB is tricky.

At WR it's a little easier. Fitz and Robinson should pick up some healthy yards against leaky defences, but then Cooper has a good match up too. The rest kind of picks itself.

Any thoughts on what, if anything, I should be changing?

Blue was limited in practice on Friday and might be a game time decision.

So I'd have to be up.... at least 50 to have a shot. The whole day was basically me quickly cutting the lead to 30 points, getting it to around 20, and then every single fucking time I got it to 20 he would get a long TD out of no where to open it back to 30-35. The playoffs are going to be mental. How does it work?

Straight knock-out. The standings will show decide which bracket you go into. If I remember right yours has a wildcard round. Anyone with a good enough record doesn't have to play in this, but those at the bottom end of the standings will. It matters in fantasy because of how much 'luck' is involved. You could pick all the right players but the other team has Drew Brees throwing 7 TD passes and like that you're out. To put it simply, once the play-offs start you need to go on a 3 game winning streak.

It's the same format as before. Most points in a week wins. Winner advances, loser is done for the year. The only thing that may change is the implementation of a can't drop list. This will come in to stop people who have been eliminated releasing their players and ruining it for everyone else. It's a list of players set by the site itself of players it deems too valuable to drop.

And 2 other's that are out of it completely (including the top scorers).

That Team is basically out of it because their points for is so low at 2653. Be Weary however will be on about 2982 making them a big threat. The other 3 teams are myself (2860 + Jordan Reed tonight), Fay (2854 + Dez Bryant tonight) and First Place Bound (2880) so there's nothing between those 3, but also no way any of us can overcome Be Weary should he win and we lose.

Be Weary has to take on The Order, so that's a tough ask for him. The 3 of us currently in the Play Off places don't face eachother at all, but Fay's Fall Guys has to take on the top scoring team, and I'm taking on the lowest scoring team (Which is "That Team" who would have to beat me by about 200 to have a chance).

Obviously, a win seals the deal, but if I lose, I'll need one of the others to also lose, and to outscore them. It's just ridiculous, not sure I've ever had a season like this.

So this happened...

He's been score corrected down, so a measly 1 extra point from Vinatieri would have sealed it. I now hold the season record for biggest win and narrowest loss. I now play the same guy again next week. The league table, but for one exception has finished quite tight. A lot tighter than expected.

I'd have won had I remembered to swap out Rishard for Jordan Matthews but oh well, I'd have still been the sixth seed and he would have dropped from second seed to third or fourth.

Because of the structure of the league our playoffs start this coming Sunday. I'm up against the 3rd seed but my team has scored around 10 points more than him this season so it should be tight.

Still locked in third in this league and it looks like I will finish that way before the playoffs as we both have, what looks like, easy wins this Sunday.

Edit: 129.58 to 119.12 in favour of me, I played the guy who is now in second but he was first before the match.

The Redskins had to get me out of a massive hole to win by 10 points this week.

Playoffs next weeks. I'm fucked.

Should I abandon Tucker given his match with Seattle? If so do I go Haushka or McManus? I already abandoned Crosby for Boswell.

If you can get Haushka then go for it. Seattle are kicking into gear and he should be worth it for extra points alone.

I'm in the market for a new defence, but from what is left there's no really great match ups. The Jets just aren't really doing it.

Also what happens to the players of the guy who finished outside the play offs? Does he just keep them all, or do all get released?

No clue. I think they keep them all.

Browning

Yea they keep them. Most leagues have a consolation Play Offs as well.

Haushka has put up really really shitty scores lately, can't remember the last time he got double digits... but against Baltimore it might be worth having him over Tucker who is a major risk of putting up nothing. Then again if Baltimore can actually get in range he could do well. It's a horrible call.

Hauschka has gone since I posted that, so oh well. Could still get McManus... but may just stick with Tucker and Boswell.

So the eliminated guy has responded by releasing all of his players. These are the players:

I've put in to pick up Wilson or Winston given they play easier defences this week. May well also put in to drop Fitz for Decker.

I'd be seething at that guy, it just disrupts the balance of the entire league.

My opponent for the crunch game has Martellus Bennett and Mark Ingram in his line up. Please don't update it!

Yeah we're not happy, but there's the risk of someone fucking everyone else over and adding last minute Sunday. We asked the guy running the league and he said as they've all gone to waivers for now we can see it as fair game. He just wont get invited back for next year.

I've ended up with Russel Wilson out of that lot anyway. I would have loved Winston too, but no chance in hell was I picking up both.

Decent start to the week with AP not doing much. Still no update to his lineup which also includes Cooks so I could win by default.

For anyone with DeMarco Murray, drop him.

If he's active for the game this week he'll be the 4th RB for the Eagles.

Seemingly my opponent is still taking it seriously.... so it's not in the books just yet. Match up:

QB- Fitzpatrick and Smith Vs Stafford and Hasselbeck
RB- Woodhead and Draughn Vs Riddick and Sproles
WR- Decker, Robinson and Evans Vs Cooper, M.Jones and Cooks
TE- Walker Vs Watson
Flex- Reed and Julio Jones Vs Fleener and AP (14 Points)
K- Tucker and Boswell Vs Sturgis and Myers
DST- Seattle Vs Green Bay
IDP- L.David, R.Jones and M.Wilkerson Vs J.Jenkins, D.Whitner and C.Dunlap

My team is set, whereas he has Dalton on his bench. Probably should be putting him in over Smith but that's me.

I've already lost twice to this guy including a 0.6pt defeat last week. I expect no different here.

First week of the playoffs in this league and I'm not optimistic.

http://i.imgur.com/ijkhHzU.png

I'll win this with ease but I'm locked into the third spot so meh. I've dropped Gurley to the bench as he's been shit but I hope he goes off on one today because I could use the Gurley of the other month in the playoffs next week.

It would be if he had Russell Wilson, but he doesn't. Team names about players you don't have suck.
