I had an email read out on Metro Radio once. Man, is Night Owls still going?

I can't even express how chuffed and excited I was when I made the thread.

Basically there's a game called Five Seconds To Name which is a five second mashup of about six songs from the same artist. It just sounds like crash bang wallop gobbledegook and I get it wrong about 90% of the time. I've got it right in the past and had Trev say "Baz from St Helens has got it" on the radio, and I usually text Mike and The Reid about it. Today he played it and I just burst into singing Black And Yellow. Wiz Khalifa! I text in and two minutes later I got a phone call asking where I lived and what I did for a living. He asked if I'd "been on with Trev before" (no) and asked what song was the giveaway that helped me get it, so I told him and he said he was the same. Then he said I'd get a call back in 10 minutes. Amazing. Couldn't have timed it better either cos I'd just got home, so even bloody taped it on Sky like a right mug. Text mike and the Reid - Mike even put it on at work to listen to his brother live on the radio talking to the legendary Trevor Nelson. I left the TV off and just waited. Then Mike text saying something like "you sound different on the radio and when did you change your name?" They'd got someone else! Put the tele back on and Roll Up was on (the winner gets to pick one of the songs from the mashup). Devastated. Doubt I'll ever get so close to speaking to trevor again. Everyone I work with (in the car most of the day) knows how much I play this game and how much I love Trevor Nelson.

So yeah. Tragic thread but also a tragic day. Hoping I know it tomorrow so I can put in the text how I was supposed to be on today, but I doubt it.
