What the hell is up with this? The way I understood it this started in the US, of course, where someone inevitably got shot, of course. Which - I have to say with as little sympathy for US gun laws and gun culture in general - pretty much serves people about right (although maybe not to get killed) for running around scaring people as creepy clowns.

Though I read somewhere there have been some real "clown attacks" as well. And that they are doing a "Clown lives matter" march in the US.

It seems it's spread around the world.


Now I have to ask - is this all some huge fucking elaborate Troll scheme that The Internet has managed to orchestrate on it's own somehow?
Because I honestly find no other logical explanation for this bizarre phenomenon :cab:

Someone I went to school with had really bad clown phobia, so someone did their GCSE english presentation on clowns. The entire presentation consisted of a badly made powerpoint slideshow of scary looking clowns with very little verbal elaboration.

Though saying that, one of the freaky Dylan Klebold wannabes did theirs on necrophilia. The entire Q&A session afterwards consisted of the following, which I couldn't help but find pretty funny:

Teacher: "do you have any respect for me?"

I actually blagged mine pretty well. The school had introduced loads of "improvements" that year, which all of the students and all of the teachers except the senior leadership team hated. So I did my entire presentation on how the headteacher and deputy head were careerist wankers who only introduced the changes (in short, making the form groups have people from all year groups, and cutting lunchtime in half to make us do 'enrichment' classes, i.e. 20 minute sessions on shit like beginners ukulele) cus it would get them in the Times Educational Supplement for GROUNDBREAKING ADVANCES IN HIGH PERFORMING SCHOOL (it did). I got full marks.
