Ok so this is pretty major, right? Deserves it's own thread at least.

"Further evidence has been obtained to show that Jupiter's icy moon Europa throws jets of water out into space.

Scientists first reported the behaviour in 2013 using the Hubble telescope, but have now made a follow-up sighting.

It is significant because Europa, with its huge subsurface ocean of liquid water, is one of the most likely places to find microbial life beyond Earth."

Doesn't some shit like this come up about a different planet/moon every couple of weeks?

Nah Europa has been the big dawg for potential alien life since we discovered that it has more water on it than Earth.

The reckoning is that you just can't leave water alone for billions of years without something turning up. We're heading out there in the next decade or two, I think. Hopefully Elon Musk will also get on the case after he sorts Mars out.

Hopefully Giggles is dead by then too.

Hopefully Giggles is dead by then too.

Seeing as we all will be by the time Musk stops talking, it's a fairly safe bet.
