They've 100% found the stalker. I've seen her Twitter and Facebook posts, including a lot to him.

The male abuser though, the theories are weak as fuck.

Although I don't agree with people trying to work it out anyway, there's a reason why he decided not to name and shame which he could have easily done.

A lad I know met a bird once off Tinder, just one date, and she decided they were an item. It was mental, she managed to get into his house so she could be there when he got back, really escalated so quickly within a week. He had to get the police involved at which point she went all over social media telling everyone he was a scumbag abuser, she was fairly attractive too.

The first plane to Rwanda should be full of cunts like Valerie Moore (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lincolnshire-68855804)

Valerie Moore, a local resident, described the sculptures as "totally inappropriate".

"If North Lincolnshire planning committee allow ... this type of theme-park installation in a residential area, surely they'd be failing the residents," she said.

Mrs Moore argued that one of the aircraft sculptures posed "a serious potential danger to life" due to its position overhanging her front garden.

"It is unsightly, not in keeping and rocks in the wind," she added.

I was reading this (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-68831018) earlier and just saw a bit on the news about it and I really don't know what to make of it.

My old-fashioned brain makes me wonder what we used to do with these twats? Just let them truant and then fuck them off with no qualifications at 16 or whatever? Is wasting vast amounts of money on them and in some way giving a sense of legitimacy to their unacceptable behavior really a better solution?

The head at my kids' primary is a bit of an old fashioned type, looks like he runs a tight ship and discipline/respect is mega, far more than their previous school. School has a bit of a bad rep with the SEN parent mafia, so they send them elsewhere, which strikes me as a bit of a genius modus operandi to make sure you don't get overrun by these cunts. Was one of the reasons we chose this school after there were loads of time consuming dickheads in one of the classes at the last one.

Anxiety and mental health really need to be got to fuck.

Gray Fox
24-04-2024, 10:48 PM
Problem is you can't kick the kids out once they're there. If the school kicks them out, the parents almost always side with their darling angel who can do no wrong. They appeal to the local council and will win via the 'everyone has a right to education' argument. The school is probably better off if they do truant and whatever else.

The school tends not to be able to do much. The ever increasing numbers of diagnosis/EHCPs means the school budget is stretched thinner and thinner. They end up in the most part having to spend their time on the kids like in the article. It gets worse if you have kids who are active disruptors of lessons and such.

The simple answer is they should either be home schooled or sent to a specialist school. The problem with the former is that so many parents use the school as babysitter through the day while they do their job. They would have to leave said job to teach at home full time. This will lose them money, so they would rather fight for their kid to stay in a school and be a little shit.
The latter from what I gather you need a diagnosis/EHCP if not both before they'll let you in one and even then, there may not be space in the only one near you. From scratch that process now is taking an estimated 2 years+ to get to.

Spikey M
24-04-2024, 10:51 PM
The answer to Niko's question is yes. They just let them truant. I had a few kids in my year that I saw about twice a year. What were they doing the rest of the time? I don't know. But they weren't at school.

"Home schooling" is a joke. It's used exclusively by wingnuts of various types. Political, Anarchist or Religious. Either way, get it in the bin.

Specialist schools need a massive funding increase. I don't know what's happened over the last 30 years, but the number of "Special Needs" kids being born is through the roof. I suspect it's related to people having kids so late on. The older the mum, the more likely disabilities are.

Lewis

Does a diagnosis of autism get you the full suite of handouts and support even if you are at the lower end of the spectrum? Because anyone below Rain Man sort of can't dress himself levels should really just have to get on with it and live life like a low-level weirdo, as those sorts of people, like most of the great men of history, previously had to.

I think giving a kid a diagnosis also limits their readiness to mask it. "Well, I'm autistic now so my behaviour is excusable" probably becomes more common. It's a label and they stick to it like glue, rather than make genuine attempts to adapt. There's also the idea that it's easier to diagnose than it used to be. Does that mean they're more lenient giving it out? I understand it's still a long process but the idea of someone mildly on the spectrum doubling down on their traits could happen.

The article blames this on delays within the NHS, which I'm sure there are, but I know of 2 kids going through private assessments right now and both have already been assessed by the NHS as "normal". I wonder how rife this is.

As much of a mong as he is, this case is a weird one. Those people called him a racist, so he did the old Harold thing of 'Oh well if you can make things up then so can I', called them nonces, and then, like the Arron Banks verdict, the judge appears to have found that him calling them names is worse than them calling him names because he's Laurence Fox and nobody likes him anyway. That can't be how it works surely.

Yevrah
25-04-2024, 03:57 PM

niko_cee

Without knowing much about it, isn't it more likely a demonstrable fact that these people weren't paedophiles, so what he said was an obvious lie and obviously said to libel/defame them?

Lewis
25-04-2024, 04:17 PM
The verdict was that he was unable to prove they were nonces, so bang to rights in that regard; but the judge also dismissed his counter claim that they were equally unable to prove he was a racist on the basis that saying something bad about him was less likely to damage his reputation because people think he's a cunt anyway. You could argue that the people he libelled being comparative nobodies would have a similar effect insofar as they don't have reputations to damage either.

niko_cee
25-04-2024, 04:23 PM
Under cross-examination, Fox suggested there were contexts in which the phrase “I hate black people” was not racist. He said: “If a man is just released from a Ugandan jail where he’s been gang-raped by several men and he walks out and he goes: ‘I hate black people’, it’s a sort of understandable response.”

Asked whether it was racist to say “Black people in the UK should go home”, Fox replied: “Depends on what context.”

:happycry:

This is a Huntley tier legal defence.

Again, without knowing, was the judgment that calling him a racist would be unlikely to damage his reputation made on the basis that everyone already thinks he's a div/racist because he posts loads of div/arguably racist things and so, even without need to judge the substantial truth of the claims they failed the test of libel? They probably were substantially true as well.

He's just an entitled moron who's been brought up his whole life to think he's god's gift.

Another high ranking politician is Vietnam has "resigned" / found to be corrupt. We've now lost the NA Chairman, Deputy Prime Minister, the President, economic commission chief and another President in the current term alone.

Down to bare bones now.

The ouster this week of Vietnam’s National Assembly chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, the latest in a series of high-level officials to be removed in a wide-ranging anti-corruption campaign, sets the stage for more infighting at the top of the communist nation.

The Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) voted to remove Hue in an emergency session on April 25; and the Central Committee voted to accept his resignation the following day.

Hue is the fifth Politburo member to be ousted this term, falling to the “Blazing Furnace” anti-corruption campaign that has already claimed Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, economic commission chief Tran Tuan Anh, and President Vo Van Thuong.

We try to filter our cases by asking the claimants to provide medical evidence. In theory, that makes the decision at the end more robust. Unfortunately, the great British public are either excellent or horrendous at filing forms in and providing paperwork. And then you get the people that withdraw their claims because 'they don't want the hassle'. Only for them to come back a month or two later because they've changed their mind again.

This does seem to be the case. I have no belief that this is what the Tories intended though so I wouldn't give them too much credit. I see the Irish are now wanting to look into returning the asylum seekers as they have entered via a safe third country which could actually open up discussions on what happens with these people within the EU(although I would imagine unlikely).

Surely if you want open borders to work within the EU the only way to do so is to basically get every country to take their share of the people who are entering illegally give them all the same level of rights across every country and call it that.

In some ways I hope this Rwanda plan does work because then people will see that the number of people coming to the country isn't caused by illegal migration but is actually caused by legal migration which we could turn the taps on and off for as we pleased should we so wish to do so.

The mother-of-two said: "I gave them my letter and their first words were, 'ooh you're dead'.

"I said, 'pardon?'. I was in shock.

"Then they put something on the computer so I could have the scan and then they just said, 'bye' and that's it."

Mrs Johnson said the experience left her "shaking like a leaf".

However, when she contacted the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) the bemused call handler told her: "On the computer you're dead".

"I said, 'I'm not, I'm still talking to you'.

"I shut down completely. I didn't talk or anything, I was in my own little bubble," she recalled.

Mrs Johnson, who is now concentrating on her hobbies of gardening and knitting, wants to move on with her life - but still wants answers.

From a management perspective, it's obviously an issue that they have a load of wife beating, black hating, kiddie fiddlers on the books, and they want the public to see them sorting it out. But - like most managers - they haven't bothered to think about the effect this is going to have on the Police officers that aren't horrible cunts. They're paid a pittance to do a hard and often dangerous job. Handing every scumbag they encounter a list of insults to throw at them is not going to help improve staff retention / recruitment.

The calibre in public sector PR is fucking low, to say the least. At least the force can get all the best people who want to be police officers, as well as all the worst. They have skipped over a lot of issues to try and meet their recruitment targets. I saw some report ages ago saying trainees who had been caught stealing, and even assaulting a senior officer, had been kept on due to pressure to increase their numbers. Sounds good.

The long term plan should be make policing a properly professional job that has attractive salary and benefits (like early retirement) for those who reach the high standard. Instead doing it on the cheap is a race to the bottom. One Chief Inspector was complaining they had graduate recruits unwilling to work nights and weekends and being shocked by the level of confrontation and violence they were encountering :D

I was fully expecting to hear from her. I gave her my number because it is perfectly understandable that an interviewee would wish to contact the journalist who would be telling her story to the world, perhaps with additional thoughts and observations or to correct some facts.

But not within ten minutes of my departure. That's when the calls had begun. She called three times during my short drive home, all of which I answered and which lasted in total 19 minutes.

The next day there were ten calls, the one after that 14, and the day afterwards 24 – all of them from a No Caller ID number on screen.

And when I failed to answer - as, I have to admit I began to do as that 'No Caller ID' message kept popping up - there were the rambling stream-of-consciousness messages - just like the ones the fictional Martha leaves in the TV show.

Five messages totalling ten minutes on the first full day, nine totalling 20 minutes on the second, 16 totalling 53 minutes on the third.

These messages were not attacks on me, but on Richard Gadd, other staff who'd worked at the Camden pub, on Scottish MPs and their families.

Then on the Saturday there were 19 calls - and, as I attempted to communicate with her by email instead, 18 voice messages were left, totalling 40 minutes.

Is it really whistleblowing if you expose exactly the opposite thing to what you intended?

If he got away with it it would set the precedent that you can leak whatever you like to the press and if it happens to show any wrongdoing - whether you recognised it or not - you're in the clear.

Why would this be bad?

Exposure of serious wrongdoing would normally be in the public interest, wouldn't it? Even if done somewhat unintentionally. Otherwise I think you could create some interesting scenarios if a whistleblower is required in law to have direct intent towards a specific end.

I'm also not certain it was exactly the opposite of what he was trying to expose, although perhaps his thesis that the top brass cover their own arses by picking on the minions where needed should have informed him of how this would play out.

randomlegend
14-05-2024, 10:55 AM
That can't be a serious post.

niko_cee
14-05-2024, 11:03 AM
Oh, ok then.

Also, somewhat typically the BBC reporting on it is dreadful, this explains why it wasn't the exact opposite of what he was trying to expose, in his own words:

“Afghan civilians were being murdered and Australian military leaders were at the very least turning the other way and at worst tacitly approving this behaviour … At the same time, soldiers were being improperly prosecuted as a smokescreen to cover [leadership’s] inaction and failure to hold reprehensible conduct to account.”

So, just because he perhaps had motivation B as his main gripe, he was very cognizant of set of facts A.

randomlegend
14-05-2024, 12:11 PM
I was just going by the quote from the journalist who was in receipt of the guys evidence and what he claimed they showed.

The above quote is hard to make head nor tail of. The claim there appearing to be that military leaders were covering up troops unlawfully killing people by...prosecuting them for it?

This is the first I'm seeing of this case so perhaps you know more about it than me. I simply take issue the idea you should be able to release whatever state documents you want with any justification and get away with it if they happen to reveal wrongdoing. That is patently absurd.

niko_cee
14-05-2024, 12:32 PM
I think his complaint was more that having allowed and possibly encouraged a culture of lawless/murderous machismo in the special forces it was then a little inequitable to try row back from that position and pin it on a few 'bad apples' when it became apparent that broad denial may not be a plausible strategy in terms of this information coming to light through other avenues [wikileaks etc]. Perhaps he should have been calling out the actual murdering as more of a priority.

Anyway, interesting times in France by the sounds of things. Sounds like a Heat style heist.

When Heidi Dodson discovered she was going to be evicted, she reached out to her local council of Thurrock in Essex for help. But it rejected her application for priority housing and said she would cope if she ended up on the streets. Two weeks after being evicted, Heidi is homeless and sleeping in a park.

Sounds shit, but this has been the reality of single men for decades at this point. Anyway....

Every evening Heidi Dodson reads her grandchildren a bedtime story and wishes them good night.

Then she quietly packs a rucksack with a torch, biscuits and some toilet roll, and makes a flask of tea, before making her way to a local park to spend the night.

Wait... what? Ok. So I assume her family are in emergency housing or something? Probably a bedsit? There's just no room at the Inn.

She ended up at her daughter’s, but the two-bedroom flat is already overcrowded with two adults and two children, plus Heidi’s adult son who was made homeless alongside her.

With the mother-daughter relationship strained through lack of space, Heidi decided it was better to remove herself from the situation, even though her daughter urged her not to sleep outdoors.

Oh. So in other words she's just being a martyr. Nothing to see here.

Spikey M
16-05-2024, 06:51 AM
What's happened here, is she has presented herself to the council after being informed of their duty to house her by the Bailiff. She's completed their paperwork, making a big song and dance of the need to house her in the same area because she cares for her grandchildren. She thought that would help her case, but to the council that's just an indication that she can live with them for a bit rather than them having to find emergency housing in a local B&B or HMO for £700 a night.

So, she stamped her feet, said there's no space, they've called her bluff and now she's sat on a bench with Stevie and his heroin out of pure stubbornness. :happycry:

I always find these articles staggering in there complete avoidance of the words 'Islam' or 'Muslim'. I actually think a lot of the hatred of the middle-east countries is casually xenophobia, however, if you are gonna rightly criticize the lack of rights for LGBT people or women, then at least mention the underlying reason.

They can't because they (and others) have spent the last twenty years claiming that Islam in Britain is a wonderful thing, causing absolutely no problems whatsoever.

To an extent, but there is a certain type of female soppiness element. When we were talking about these dogs at work (I saw one whilst driving in and somebody said I should have ran it over and saved a child down the line) the women tended more towards the 'It's not the breed it's the owner' line. "It's the owner, not the breed" is just pure retardation. I mean, to an extent it's true. You could probably train one to be safe around kids and many of them probably are, but dogs bite sometimes. They just do. And that's when the decision to get a 12 stone ball of muscle and teeth might just be a bit of an error.

We have a Shih Tzu and he's nipped my son when he's being a bit much. Never even broken the skin. XL Bullies just shouldn't exist.

It's well documented they have a propensity to completely snap in a way other breeds generally don't. Plenty of cases of ones who've never shown any signs of aggression through many years - including around children - and then they suddenly just rip someone to pieces with no obvious provocation.

So whilst it's true that a bad owner is likely to end up with one which is just generally aggressive, even a properly trained one with an owner who has done everything (other than owning an XL Bully) right still had the potential to be involved in one of these stories. It's not a case of them doing a warning bite after being pushed too far and doing damage because of their power. They literally just flip out of nowhere and go on a sustained attack with every intention of killing their target.

Yeah it's really weird. I work with a woman who gets REALLY EMOTIONAL when this topic comes up, and she's really sound and normal generally. I think the thing people forget is that dog breeds haven't just existed forever as part of the natural fabric of things, they've been created through selective breeding, XL Bullys to specifically be kinda like Tuco Salamanca. So they see banning them as some kinda inhumane interference, whereas it's actually to undo that exact thing.

I don't wanna get all reddit philosopher and LOGICAL FALLACIES, but i often hear people say "it's not the dogs fault" which is obviously true, as a justification for not banning them, which doesn't really make sense.

When I went to school literally no child was known as 'autistic' despite there being a few special cases. Now you just need to hold a pencil funny or have a strange accent and you've suddenly got one-to-one support in a special classroom and get to go for dinner 5 minutes before the 'normal' kids.

And it's also hard if you leave them to it. Both are examples of shit parenting, not over or under parenting and will leave the child with mental health issues in adolescence.
