:)

We've just signed Will Buckley on loan with a £1 million option to buy. This means Byram is probably on his way to Everton/Swansea/Spurs etc.

:(

Maybe, I haven't been too impressed with him playing as a winger so far this season though. Hopefully his form will pick up with a move back to full back.

The Championship is even crazier then normal this year, we've only won 2 games and are just a point off the play offs. If we hadn't conceded the late goals against Burnley and Bristol we'd be third. Considering I dont think we've actually played that well were not doing badly.

I'd like to see us try and bring in a shit kicker in midfield as I think were a bit lightweight in there and maybe another centre back and I think a play off push could be on this year.

Agreed with all.

Byram doesn't look like his heart is in it, he's being forced to do something he isn't good at and it's glaringly obvious.

Do you think that will be the case in the Championship though?

Probably.

I'm just glad a club has taken him off our hands to be honest. He was never good enough to play in the Premiership.

Magic
22-09-2015, 10:54 AM
Well that's fine because we probably won't be there for years yet so good signing as far as I'm concerned.

Wood(s) is alright, seems a bit slow and off the pace, wastes a lot of chances but is very capable as he's proven. Just wish he was more consistent. Doesn't help with our midfield being all over the place though.

Fucking farcical. Rosler out, Evans in looks this was arranged before Rosler was sacked as the fat cunt was taking training this morning before it was even announced.

Having had a couple of hours to digest this, looking at it completely objectively he's actually had a fairly successful managerial career, it's definitely an odd choice but I really can't think of any outstanding candidate.

Ok so over the past couple of days:

Cellino came out and said he will never attend another Leeds game because he was 'too hurt' (time to go Massimo chants)

Then he came out and said he would only sell to the fan ownership offering.

Then he decided to appeal his ban.

Now he's decided NOT to sell to the fan ownership offering, but still definitely wants to sell.

To clarify, I am not moving to Leeds, I am (as far as I can tell) secure for the medium term future slaving away my youth as a lawyer in the US. Without getting too specific, my family has some business they are conducting in the area for at least the next few years, so I might come and visit the city some time in the Fall. We have season ticket box seats at the stadium so I'll probably catch a game.

Will make sure to let TTH know when I'm in the area, and you all can see me get drunk and try to hit on girls in person.

This Pontus to Brentford thing is just bizarre. I mean, he's obviously fallen out with Bielsa and/or Radrizzani and they've gone the "nobody is bigger than the club" route. I would obviously much rather he stay, but if Bielsa isn't of the opinion that he's part of the plan anymore then I'm happy to go along with whatever that man thinks.

It's the relative pittance of a fee and the destination that confuses me though. £5.5 million? I feel like we could have got (and possibly were turning down) more than double that this time a year ago, and probably from a Premier League club. I'm sure the contract has got plenty of time left on it too, so it's not that. It's just a really weird move.

Is it something to do with the game against Villa? I reckon he went bat shit bonkers in the dressing room and went too far. I side with the defender in any case.

There's a lot of talk that the manager never really felt like he fit the "team first, get with the programme or get out" ethos, with the Villa thing being kind of emblematic of it.

There's a video doing the rounds that I saw today of him completely mugging the chairman off when he came out to shake everyone's hand in the tunnel after a loss away at QPR earlier in the season too.

It's a shame because he was great for us, and I'm really surprised at that sort of price that none of the teams who have gone up have taken him, if only for depth at the back. Regardless, Bielsa adds a lot more value than Pontus Jannson. So he had to go. Although for what it's worth Smiff, I agree with you on the Villa point. I was with him on that. I didn't think we should have let them equalise either. It was bollocks.

I thought we looked really good today. We even weathered that last ten minutes or so after they scored quite well, because I was initially worried everyone was going to lose their heads.

Aside from it being a really good attacking performance and the obvious stand-out contribution from Hernandez, I thought Ben White looked great at the back. He reads the game well and he looked very calm and composed, both in the tackle and in possession.

My only concern is Kiko and his impulsive "I think I'll just come charging off my line for no reason now" moments. He made a couple of good stops, to be fair to him. But I wish he would just behave himself.

Alex

That was a satisfying three points today. I thought we were quite evenly matched, so it was nice to come away with the win. I think the fitness-centric mentality Bielsa instills really helped us towards the end there, it was the difference for me. Bamford typifies it. He worked his bollocks off for the entire ninety minutes and got us the result. He was still blowing out of his arse when they interviewed him post game, five minutes after the final whistle. I'm very happy for the lad at the minute, and I say that as somebody who wasn't adverse to giving him stick last season.

It did a lot to ease my concerns about us at the back too. Koch looked massively improved today, he had a great game. Obviously Meslier was fantastic as well. Assuming we've still got the option buy on Harrison (and I think we have) we ought to just tie that up right now. Because the lads actually value on paper has doubled, at least, since he became a Premier League player.

I though Poveda looked quite handy when he came on as well, not afraid to have a go at anyone. He's just a little but impulsive, but he's still only young. Rodrigo I was less impressed with. It's obviously very early days, but he doesn't look a £30 million man to me. The old subbed on/subbed back off move is classic Bielsa too. Basically - "Not what I was looking for, back on the bench for you". :D
