...couldn't it just be that intelligent people were more likely to have white collar desk jobs which involve little movement and/or less likely to walk to various places because they were wealthier and had cars? Lack of movement doesn't necessarily equate to laziness.

Indeed.
I always call it a 'lack of motivation' stemming from depression and insomnia though. It makes others think that I have a genuine reason for it.
