Leave a Premier League job for an international assistant job a few days after he was knocked back for the main gig?

Though Hull look to be a complete shambles, so it could be some sort of a fallout there.

The owner that everybody hates, but who always backed Steve Bruce, has been ill, and son has apparently fucked it all right up in his absence (they want to sell the club, so don't want to burden it with a load of new transfer fees; but they also need the players to stay up and make it a worthwhile purchase). The players are seething, and the local news is full of fans who support Bruce and don't seem particularly surprised. They were going to struggle this season anyway, but if they do better than dead last on sixteen points it will be a miracle.

Haven't they barely a squad at this stage?

I think I read thirteen fit players. Other than the Hull Tigers bullshit, the old man has been good for the club; but there is a feeling that, if he croaks (or even takes a back seat), then his son would happily oversee a Blackpool-like situation.

Four year deal. The compensation he'll get in 18 months. :happycry:
