"let the local team have their night"

meanwhile

Will we treat them the same as if we were playing Barcelona or Real Madrid?

Yeah - that’s what I said to the team when we went through the video analysis. We will give them full respect and the same preparation whether it’s a team from Gibraltar of anyone else.

It doesn’t matter if it’s the Champions League or a big game in Scotland.

We will always respect our opponent.

Hopefully they can get a decent draw in the Europa qualifiers now after BATE beat them.

FH are ranked as the 158th best club in Europe. Dundalk are 233rd.

The Icelandic Premier Division is the 35th best league in Europe. The Irish league is 46th.

I'm aware they're both dogshit but FH were definitely the favourites (especially after the first leg) and should have won if they weren't bottling retards.

Decent result again for Dundalk going down 1-0 at BATE Borisov but should really have got more from it.
Ordinarily they're set up better for away games than home ones, but seeing as they're not playing the second leg at home I'll hold out a little bit of hope.

If they made it through they own the game here for the next 5-10 years though.

Not very surprising that as Astana didn't lose at home once during their last years European games and that includes three group stage games in the Champions league (although I think they drew all three of those). They knocked out my local team last year in Astana after a last second offside goal :(

APOEL. :cab:

90+2, 90+7 and 90+8 minute goals to go through 4-2 on aggregate against Rosenborg.

It is very cool, but the first goal took them ahead on away goals. So at 1-0 down, Rosenborg would go through if they scored, and at 2-0 down, it'd go to extra time. So the second and third goals were really the product of Rosenborg throwing everyone up front and hoping to come good.

Three bookings in injury time. :D

Dundalk . It's the stuff FM games are made of.

The BBC reckon that they'll be on the Champions side of the Playoff draw (so they'll avoid the big name teams) and even if they lose the tie, they'll go automatically into the Europa League group stage.
