Er.. What?

According to reddit, if you're sentenced less than 2 years in Spain, you don't actually serve it or some nonsense.

Surely his father should have just taken that bid for the both of them if he hasnt done so already.

Typical rich/poor double standard. If someone steals a TV they would be in for longer. I say we lynch the cunt.

Stolen from SSN "under Spanish law a prison sentence under two years for a first-time non-violent crime can be served on probation, meaning they are unlikely to serve any time."

Short sentences are served on probation rather than custodially.

Seems pretty sensible, to be honest.

You'd generally get only an extremely short prison sentence at worst for a first time, non-violent, low sentence white collar crime in most developed countries.

Non-violent? Think how many babies have died because of Spanish health under-funding caused by Messi withholding his tax money. He's a mass murderer.

It's not just here, Jimmy. If they closed these loopholes and tapped into the tax avoidance pit of gold, they could afford to buy Gibraltar and we could reinvest the money in our NHS.

The only way that could be worse is if #justice was used.
