Losing my 2 best players in the same week is a little annoying, but him having all of his Patriots out is massive. He has no one he wants to drop because he's a Pats fan too, so he may end up taking the hit on Gronk. My hands are tied pretty much but for the QB. Rodgers plays the god awful Colts defence, Brees plays the god awful 49ers defence.
I dislike having 3 plays go on Thursday, but the match up says I should really be playing them. The headache I have is the defence. The Jets need dropping but people are hoarding. It's crunch time now, as it is one guy has already made the play-offs at 8-0 and I believe I'm 1 win away.
As such there's only a few streaming options left. The Giants, the Rams and the Packers being the best of a rotten bunch. I also have Ladarius Green still stashed as well as Dion Lewis. I'm hoping the latter resumes the role he had last season. Could be a game changer going into the end of the season.

Ended up winning in my main league, which is insane.

The guy I was facing is the only person who beat me twice last year, despite me winning the title. In the first half of that season I went 2-5 and in the 2nd half I went 6-1... but even when I was smashing everyone, he beat me. He also beat me earlier this year with Forte scoring 3 TDs to win him the game on Thursday night.... and Evans seemed to have done the same. But against the odds, we overcame him.


QBs- Marcus Mariota (38.32) and Phillip Rivers (28.17) Vs Ryan Fitzpatrick (13.25) and Big Ben (24.61)

Nice routine win at the QB position despite Big Ben getting it together in the 2nd half and basically equaling his projection. Quite enjoyed having my 2 QBs against each other. Fitzpatrick is a legend, I went 7-0 with him in my line up last year, and he's still helping me now.

RBs- Frank Gore (22.45) and Charcandrick West (11.33) Vs Demarco Murray (24.24) and Devontae Booker (4.52)

I was worried about my two, particularly Gore going up against a nasty run defense. I didn't expect him to find the end zone twice and basically cancel out Murray. Winning the RB battle was hugely unexpected, though he did leave Ajayi on the bench for some bizarre reason.

WRs- Antonio Brown (22.57), Allen Robinson (22.93) and Quincy Enunwa (3.29) Vs Mike Evans (39.21), Marvin Jones (1.86) and Davante Adams (14.93)

No one was going to compete with Evans, but good efforts from Brown and Robinson ate into his lead somewhat. So glad right now that the Marvin Jones trade was vetoed. For the 2nd week running though Rodgers throws a TD to a Mickey Mouse WR who did fuck all else to hurt me.

TEs- Greg Olsen (17.21) Vs Denis Pitta (4.00)

Pitta seems to be the TE everyone uses to fill in for bye weeks and I think he's played for at least 3 of the 8 teams so far, including me. Maybe it's even more. Either way he was a non-factor while Olsen got back on track.

Flex- Emmanuel Sanders (10.86) and Cole Beasley (19.00) Vs Michael Thomas (24.71) and Matt Forte (18.08)

Beaten here thanks to Sanders still being disappointing, but Beasley was a nice find. He was added to my team at the last minute, and put together a nice revenge game against the guy who cut him. I was planning to cut him after this week but he's played his way into contention.

The Rest- Tucker (9.00), Crosby (8.00), Panthers (15.00), Wagner (???), Collins (14.50) and No One (0.00) Vs Vinatieri (7.00), McManus (11.00), Denver (3.00), S.Lee (6.50), R.McLeod (3.50) and C.Avril (???)

Two of the IDP play tonight and, as promised, I didn't bother with a DL. I did pick one up when the game was close, but now it's done I've but him for Dunlap, who should give me a proper DL option going forward. Collins was well worth that waiver claim.



All told I have a 42.22 lead with us both having an IDP to play tonight. This will make both teams 7-2, but frustratingly I'll remain in 3rd place.

It feels wrong benching Mariota, but looking at the match ups I just might have to do it. Palmer is going to absolutely murder the Niners, and Rivers has a much softer match up too. Regardless which 2 I roll with I should win this position I would think.

RBs- Lamar Miller and Jordan Howard Vs Le'Veon Bell and Darren Sproles

Lev Bell is probably the only player on his team that would get into mine this week if we compare like for like (e.g. obviously Julio would get into mine... but not over my WR1, Antonio Brown). I welcome back Miller and Howard from their byes and it is much needed. Who knows what he'll get from Sproles but I do expect him to beat me here.

WRs- Antonio Brown, AJ Green and Emmanuel Sanders Vs Julio Jones, Alshon Jeffrey and Kelvin Benjamin

If anyone in this league has a WR core that can compete with mine, it's this guy. Luckily for me Cooper is on bye this week. I still expect this to break fairly even, I just hope Sanders can exploit his match up with the Saints.

TE- Greg Olsen Vs Julius Thomas

Greg is one of the most reliable players in the league. I don't really rate Thomas much at all. Happy that I should win here.

Flex- Allen Robinson and Rishard Matthews/Cole Beasley/Spencer Ware Vs Jonathan Stewart and Tajae Sharpe

I'm leaning towards Matthews as mine, which I think gives me a nice advantage considering he puts up way more points than Sharpe usually. Hopefully Robinson is back now, but I guess we will see.

The Rest- Arizona, Tucker, Crosby, Wagner, Collins and Dunlap Vs New England, Walsh, Catanzaro, Miller, Peters and Pierre-Paul

He has big names at IDP but I have the best DB by a mile, one of the best DL (though I missed out on Mack) and a damn good LB. Happy that I win this battle too.

Overall projections have me taking it 228.38 to 206.88. He's currently in 4th but in danger of falling out of the play off places with a loss. Meanwhile I sit in 3rd, but joint top, with a 2 game buffer above him and a 3 game buffer from dropping out.

They put up ridiculous points in those 2 leagues... and I almost faced them in 3/3 leagues. Can't complain too much.

Long story short he quit my main league due to missing the Keeper Deadline and getting pissy when he wasn't allowed to submit it late. The league owner wanted to boot him anyway but was talked out of it by the other members... but then he did his job for him. Oh well. But I play in another league with that guy, and he's still up to the same shit he always was, which is making criminally bad trade offers with ridiculously long winded explanations about how it's great for you to try and catch you off guard. I now remember why so many were fed up of him in the first place, though it always went through the same cycle.... everyone's fed up of him... season ends... everyone forgets about it.

I'm out of contention. Going 3-7 would of made things more interesting if I would of won but I am 100% adamant that I'm out of the running for the title. I got Gray Fox, Mert and Browning (I think) as my final three regulation matchups and I don't think I'll win the not so pointless consolation playoffs. I think the top three in the standings is a lock while the rest of you will be fighting it out for four, five and six. Mahow has got an easy run in facing Ian, Baz and Dan in that order. To be fair, so long as you are in the top 6 nothing else really matters. It's a blank slate when the play-offs start. My other league last season saw a guy make the play-offs having gone 2-11(there was a guy 1-12) and thanks to picking up Cousins, having David Johnson and Doug Baldwin he just destroyed in the post season.

They go through on Wednesday morning. Basically players get locked when they play (so you can't just add someone because he scores 3 TDs and you happen to be on the PC when no one else is) and then when every player has played (so after Monday Night) everyone has roughly 24 hours to put in their claims (Tuesday) and then the next day they are processed in order. So whoever is Priority 1 will get his top pick and then revert to Priority 10. Whoever was priority 2 then gets his highest remaining pick and himself moves to Priority 10, moving the first guy up to 9. This cycles through until all players anyone wanted to claim have been dished out.

Which part is it exactly that you dont understand? Let me see if I can help.

Basically if a player is released, every team gets an opportunity to pick that player before they go on the open market.

If you use your "waiver", you would then go back to the back of the line, but you get that player.

So if you're 5th in the waiver line, but someone who is #1 - #4 wants that player, you wouldn't get the player, but you'd move up in waiver priority, and become #4.

Waivers generally clear on Tuesday in a lot of leagues, and those players are put back into the Free Agent pool if not selected.

All of that is true, but it isn't only when a player is released, it's also when a free agent plays a game in the NFL. Therefore every week certain players break out, and you have to strategically decide if you want to use your waiver on one, or wait for the next week and have a higher priority.

Nope. You can make as many claims as you want but you will only get some of them depending who else claims them. After the waivers go through any player who isn't claimed becomes a free agent meaning you can add them without losing your waiver priority.

Going into the last week things are interesting. The top 2 spots are safe, but me and Dan play each other for 1st this week. I beat him earlier in the season but his massive advantage in points earned means a win for him should see him top.

Baz and Pleb are both out, but both have a big say in what's left. Only Browning is safely into the play-offs. Then we have the 5 teams who can still make it into the final 3 spots. I like how the table is exactly split between those on a winning streak and those on a losing one.

That's my and the leagues highest weekly points total so far. If I do this, I've pulled it off being down both Jones and Green for the play-offs except for Jones in the final. My WRs posted 25.2 points, total, in the play-offs. I think I may be buying a David Johnson pro-bowl shirt if I win too.

133 is a good score in our league. This game is only the 2nd all season I'll have beat that, with this also being his 2nd highest scoring week of the season. Proper shoot-out for the title. I even had Dez benched. He's the guy that keeps sheets of stats and post-its about the house, so I'm happy.
