If single life has taught me anything, it's how much I hate socialising/gatherings/people in general. Idle chit chat makes me actually seeth. Why can't people enjoy silence?!

Anyone here a people person?

An internet forum which was founded from an off topic section on a Football Manager board, we're all people persons mate.

I was talking to a black man today.

Bullshit, Lewis.

He was a surveyor, and he was making a map(?) of the land around the gym, so I asked him what he was playing at. We're basically best mates now.

He was probably casing the place.

Probably didn't even do it right.

You ought to be ashamed of yourselves.

I'm very sociable (not that I'm particularly good at it, I just enjoy it) but hate small-talk as well. I've found the trick is to just aggressively drive conversations away from idle chitchat as quickly as possible. Just ask loads of questions (people love that shit, gives them an excuse to talk about themselves) and you'll quickly find shared interests. Well, as long as they're into football manager and understand what 'on the ropes' means.

Lewis' anecdote is just too far-fetched to be true and I, for one, am not having it.

James Blake's version is better.

For starters no self respecting black person would go that far north.

They (whoever they are exactly) are sussing out all the land to build some 'eco park' that the council is seething about because they think it's Hull taking over.

I'm the opposite to Manc when it comes to chatting about all sorts of stuff with people. Unless the people you're talking to are utterly shit, they'll have something interesting to say and you'll enjoy your time. I guess it all depends on how you define 'shit people'.

Kills animals. Hates people. I see where this is going.

I'm better at it, although I still prefer to be alone. Be interesting to see how things go down next weekend when I'm at a family wedding.

I'm pretty social and I have a lot of friends (I mean, it's high school), and I'm pretty good at holding a conversation with someone I don't know very well, as long as we have one thing in common. I'm useless with total strangers though, and I don't love parties unless I have good friends there. I definitely need alone time, perhaps more than many of my friends do, but I also need to spend time with my friends.

I view TTH as socializing essentially. Whether it's face-to-face or not, it's just a bunch of old mates to chat shit with. It's why something like Reddit will never hold the same appeal for me.

I cannot stand interacting with strangers. I'm great around my friends and people I like, but having random people try and chat with me in a pub is enough to ruin my night.

I thought I had become really good at being matey with strangers, but the other day my friend told me that seeing me attempt it makes them 'anxious', so now I don't know.

Does he know you've since become firm friends with the ethnic community?

I tend to have a threshold for how much socialising I can do in a day. It gets to a certain point and I get bored/tired and want to piss off on my own.

Most people are too stupid to be worth bothering with but I don't mind making an effort for the few who aren't.

This lad was seriously black as well, which has got to be worth something.

As a POC I find your attitude offensive. Are you saying I am less of a POC because you can actually recognize my facial features?

You're not a POC, you're just a shit Spaniard.

That's up to me to decide.

As a mongrel of various types, I think I qualify as a POC. I might play the race card one day to see what happens.

Probably get beaten up.
