It makes me laugh when I read shit like this because if we're talking injuries, we lost Henderson, Sturridge, Skrtel, Ings, Gomez and so on and so on. It's a squad game for a reason. If your team isn't set up to cope with injuries then the blame lies squarely at the managers feet. Tottenham keeping their players fit despite playing a higher intensity than Arsenal speaks more volumes for the physio's at Spurs than it does at the Emirates.

Perhaps. But you're telling me then that Mason, Chadli and Bentaleb would have the same impact as the three spurs players mentioned? Actually, we suffered half as many days if unavailablity to injury than last year, and we were in the top 10 for availability in the league, but the problem rather was the players that suffered.

Agree that our squad couldn't cope with those injuries and it was our failing, but I really don't see the kind of depth with Tottenham that would see them deal very well with similar simultaneous lay offs to key players.

As for Liverpool's injury issues - yeah, it was a major issue in their season. What does that matter? I'm not moaning about the injuries, I'm staying that Tottenham were one of a handful to not suffer any key losses (the other sprinting to mind being Leicester).

They could be at least five up already.

The Merse

Oh and Smiffy our players largely suffered contact injuries, how the fuck are the physio team to blame (a common theme amongst Arsenal fans that and completely and utterly ludicrous).

Not that I'm particularly enamoured with our efforts this year, but luck?

Tottenham had pretty much a full squad all year. We lost the likes of Sanchez, Cazorla and the Coq for huge periods along with Welbeck and Wilshere being lame for almost the full season.

Wonder how Tottenham would have gotten on with Eriksen, Dier and Lamela all out for long periods?

Fucking amazing we got top 4 really with Gabriel featuring in double digits. Absolute charlatan of a footballer.

Stop buying footballers made of chalk and you wouldn't have this issue.

Boydy

You could also view lack of squad depth as bad management.

Jimmy Floyd

Knockaert really is exceptional with the ball at his feet. He must be an absolute bellend not to have turned that talent into a top flight career.

Agreed. Again, not my point. My point was we have probably more depth than Spurs but when Harry wants to talk about such intangibles as luck, which most would attribute to the likes if whether a player will pick up an injury - especially when Sanchez, Coq, Welbeck and Cazorla have been relatively injury free in their careers unlike the usual suspects (wilshere, diaby, rosicky, RvP et al), then I think it entirely relevant to bring it up.

Christ knows how many black cats Hughton murdered under a ladder on Friday morning.

Dunk is such a twat for that red card against Derby. It is what is going to cost Brighton in the end.

The other major problem here is that Baldock has no place in a team chasing promotion to the championship, let alone out of it. Prove me wrong Sam, prove me wrong.

I don't see the point of playoffs at all myself when you have a 46 game season. Top three should just go up.

Villa and Newcastle games to come are a small consolation.

If it's any consolation I thought this for many years as a Wolves fan before we only went and smashed it at the fourth time of asking. Not at Wembley which will always grate though.

Oh some were horrid. To this day I hope Bolton go out of business purely because of that cunt John McGinley and his cheating ways, each defeat made it worse but then actually nailing it was the best. Sadly, the championship to me, is awful. Can't stand it anymore.

You could see 'The Special One' sticking with Wayne Rooney in midfield just to be a contrary dickhead (unless he flushes him out early doors along with anybody else who might question him), and I bet he could make it work, like a crap version of how Frank Lampard used to score twenty deflections a season, provided somebody top, top came in to dominate for his fat self.

Yeah that shit really needs to stop. I went to the Norwich-Ipswich semi last season and the same thing happened. I think the clubs should get fined for it and maybe a game behind closed doors it would soon stop. It's not even like they've won anything it's celebrating getting to the final.
