Flaky technical attacking mids/wingers lacking dynamism and confidence, i.e. sterling for us the other night, are the most frustrating players to watch in the world. Players like that running fearlessly at defences are boss, but when they run forward, panic, cut inside with a needless little flick then play a pointless sideways pass to a midfielder it makes me wanna break things.
Yeah, it's a good point. Watching Douglas Costa play on the left for Bayern kinda made me wonder why there weren't more actual wingers. It's like playing on your natural side and crossing isn't valid anymore.

A yellow card, most of the time, is no punishment at all really. It's just telling you "don't do that again". Teams can sometimes play well with 10 men, sure, but their chances of scoring decreases massively (even if the chance of conceding might not be all that much different).

Best game I've seen so far I have to say. Italians looked well in control it has to be said and must be all but assured of going through already. Looked like a very well drilled team.

That was an absolutely Italy performance. We were far better than I thought, considering it's one of the worst Italian teams ever on paper. Pellè works well as a pivot upfront, Candreva actually did well, the defence is stellar as usual. Bonucci's one of the best defenders around, he can pick out those passes so well.

What remains to be seen is how we fare against teams that are definitely worse than us, even on paper. The defence is the same as Juve, they don't do badly against dribbling-heavy idiots like de Bruyne and Hazard but against smart players that can pass and run around them.
