The only person who probably never got asked for ID in his teens.
Twitter already bringing in the newbies.
Costa is a genuine horrible cunt. The sooner somebody takes a 15-match ban for the team and kicks him square in the balls the better.
I love Costa, god it be great to have him in your team. People are comparing him to Suarez.. Which I don't think is fair, biting people and being a physical beast are totally different.
Also Suarez was good at football.
He's been done retrospectively for violent conduct and, barring an unlikely successful appeal, will be banned for three games. Although I guess one of those games will be Walsall on Wednesday, so further lol at Arsenal.

Yep, glad to see he's getting banned, at least.

How have you lot managed to fuck his reputation so badly already? :D

Why have you given yourself maximum rep is the question I want answered.

Cause I'm beyond repute. Nah I was just fucking around before this place opened and forgot to change it back.

He should be banned for 20+ games, a) because he's a tit and b) because Arsenal fans deserve the moral high ground.

Totally agreed with this.
He's despicable and he won't change until the FA throw the book at him. Which they won't, because they're spineless.
The downside to them doing it would be the fact we'd all have to endure more of that massive bore Mourinho moaning about it.

All it'll take is for Joey Barton or someone to two-foot him in an FA Cup tie.

Better yet, lets get Kevin Muscat out of retirement, he was always good for a leg breaker.
I'd love to see someone get him properly seething one day. Someone like Chiellini beating him at his own game.

I enjoy how much he seems to rile people, especially Arsenal fans.
I also like having pantomime villains in football, the guys who get booed and abused at every single ground in the country. It's fun and part of followning the game.
He's obviously a twat but people really need to calm down.

I was coming into this thread to post something like this. Absolutely spot on.
'Wolf' was probably your favourite Gladiator as well, wasn't he?

Zuoma's the legend, really. "Sorry, err... English isn't my first language."

I do find it more and more amusing the more vitriolic it gets. Yeah, I probably wouldn't feel the same if he played for somebody else, but I'd rather a wind up merchant who just disrupts things and occasionally goes a bit too far roughing up other players, than some dirty cunt midfielder who is constantly jumping into two footed tackles and actually hurting people.
Costa's stamp on Can last season was indefensible, but I can't think of anything else he's done that warrants being called "a genuine horrible cunt".

It's always a laugh to watch Costa off the ball, the constant nudges as he jogs into spaces, the way he backs into defenders and his constant winding up.

This.
He's great fun to watch, and a very effective player. It would just be better if he didn't overstep the mark quite so much.

Apparently he's a stand up guy outside the pitch.
'Wolf' was probably your favourite Gladiator as well, wasn't he?
That's a great comparison. :D
If he did that at a World Cup he would have now been banned for 6 months
3 Match ban for the twat and Gabriel get it revoked :) shame about the match result though
Surely the referee should be getting a ban now? Basically the FA have said he got that whole decision completely wrong.
Why is my avatar Vince McMahon?!

They can only ban Costa because he didn't see it. If he'd given a yellow that would be that.
No idea how Gabriel can have his rescinded, while Costa should have been sent off as well, kicking out at another player is a red card. Unless they're saying Costa shouldn't have been on the pitch at that point.

I guess you could argue he was just backing into Costa and may have only "accidentally" kicked him.
But what they are basically saying is that Costa was being a big mean bully to Gabriel who couldn't know better because of it, the poor little Arsenal thing.

You really couldn't.
It may have been one of the ponciest kicks you're ever likely to see, but it definitely wasn't just a walking movement.

Maz had mine at one point, some mix-up when restoring the users so you've got Lewis'.

I think it's a logic thing. If Diego Costa had been sent off for the red, Gabriel wouldn't have come over yada, yada. Basically as the mistake predates any of the other actions then the rest don't count.
Apparently the cunt ref didn't see Gabriel's kick out....

Because the replays show Gabriel didn't make contact with Costa.

One reply I have seen shows Gabriel do a slight kick, but its nothing. All the comments I have heard from retired players say the same. The ref should of booked them and told them to sort it out or you will be off next time.

Surely intent counts? Anyways, the discipline system in football is fucked.
EDIT: Haven't really seen much of it though, only the one highlights package.

It's good that there's been retrospective action taken for a change, but I wonder how long that'll last, and when will it become a badly managed thing?

Basically Costa has been punished for being annoying and provoking while Gabriel who pushes Costa and Óscar while back kicking like a donkey that he is, got 1game and a tap on his shoulder.
Dark day for English football and I am anxious to know about harolds opinion about this scandal.
