Does anybody here believe in ghosts?

Or anything paranormal? I'm assuming not, but would be interesting to see if anybody did. I think the most likely candidates are Giggles and Disco.
Sleep paralysis is as close as I've come to experiencing anything close to 'paranormal' but a couple of older members of my family claim they've seen ghosts. Both accounts also sound like sleep paralysis, but they're convinced so whatever.

It's easy to say 'I don't believe' but if you hear an unfamiliar noise at night on your own then you'll fucking believe alright smh

I don't but I'd say Giggles, Henners and Disco are likely to.

Aye, I agree with this. There's still that little bit of doubt. I blame films.

I sometimes at night when I go for a piss in the pitch black with nothing but the street/moonlight to barely provide an alternative to utter darkness, look in the mirror to the left of me, look forward, then look back in the mirror and imagine seeing some sort of ungodly shit standing behind me. Fucks me up.

Bizarrely was discussing this with some teachers and the coach driver on a school trip on Thursday. Coach driver was a bit of a know it all, claimed his mate owned a haunted farm, etc. Very easy to cast doubt on. I've always maintained I would need to have an experience of my own to make me a believer, but even then I'd be looking for the simplest explanation.

    Absolutely not.

A lot in the family (mainly the Polish side) believe completely.

If I hear a noise at night, I'm scared because it might be an intruder rather than a fucking ghost.

I was only answering the question in the thread title, which didn't require any further elaboration. Was there another question?

My grandpops used to tell me If ghosts, aliens, dracula, loch ness monster or any other thing was real. White man would have caught them. put them in a cage and charge a fee for the world to see by now.

No, although I think placing people in a darkened place for a night will make them on edge enough to make them think a thing has happened.

I wonder what percentage of the population believe in ghosts and how that stacks up to the percentage that believe in (a) religion?

If the populace were broadly sensible, the two would be inextricably linked as both require belief in some sort of existence after death (assuming you adhere to the Abrahamic religions).

We have starsign shite in the papers. It's safe to say the percentage is high, and the correlation with religion will be even higher.

You and phonics are the biggest participants in make-believe.

Yeah, he is still living well in jamaica. They have a really bad skin fetish over there right now. Add that too the list of things he is angry about.

I also get sleep paralysis occasionally. You can see how people could interpret that experience as being demonic, ghostly or alien.
