My hairline is actually secretly terrible.

Getting my haircut tomorrow and I'm gonna ask her never to cut the front ever again, in fear of it no longer growing.

It's JPA, 3rd famous Villa poster on the board. A bit like the West Brom.

JPA was the Aston Villa supporting shelf stacker for Lidl who believed he'd rise to the top and take on his own store once upon a time, no? He's right on this occasion though, WDYTOE threads are from a bygone era.

I was more infamous than famous.

Mellin was tough, he did bird. Enigma was a bit of a moany old git. I just about remember Zimidy but no idea who them other two are.

Smiffy, get it right, it was ASDA That soon got sacked off for a life on the road Merchandising.

And Baz, I'm still mates with Whizz on FB. He is a top bloke, married now. He was the one who'd start most the shit then sit back and enjoy the fireworks when I argued with nearly every single person on the board before being banned.

It's good to read other peoples' though, even if I do only ever look at their entry for myself.

I assume that's also what most other people do. Personally I don't care what Phonics thinks of James and so on.

It's a bit of fun, and a chance to draw a cheap seethe out of some people. I don't know why fannies are always looking to paint it as some sort of validation exercise, when in reality it's nothing compared to all those awards I won for being popular and great.

Since we're agreed, you can have a list. It's actually more a stream of consciousness than a list, so apologies to those whose entries aren't even about them, and I chopped a lot of people for whom nothing immediately came to mind, so apologies to them too.

My family had no Sky in those days and even if we had, I think it was only 1 televised game a week at the time. So my introduction to football was through the medium of ‘Tranmere Rovers one; Stockport County one’ being read out by an august old man and the pools results would come in afterwards – ‘Five score draws, one no score draw’ – and then it would be time for the latest news from the IRA or the Bosnian war, followed by a repeat of Dad’s Army (some things never change) and then Jim Davidson’s Generation Game would start, at which point my mother would turn the TV off, but I’d still remember ‘Tottenham Hotspur two; Queens Park Rangers three’, and from there the childhood-long obsession began. I think bruh’s introduction to football was probably as far away from that as it’s possible to be whilst still in the same language.
Not exactly off but we're not exactly too far apart either. When I first got into football it was basically off of playing FIFA, but as far as televised matches go, it was nearly the same. Honestly, I'm not sure any Premier League games were televised. If they were, we didn't get the SPORTS PACKAGE through the cable to watch them. So, given that matches weren't televised over here like they are nowadays, I used to sit at my compuiter on "ESPN'S SOCCERNET" and read minute by minute updates of matches. Talk about a boring, tedious exercise.

One such glory I remember from those days with the infamous "pizzagate" match. Louis Saha and Alan Smith setting up Rooney to tap-in the 2nd of the 2:0 and I'm running around my house like a lunatic. My mom asked what I was doing and I told her that United just won. She asked if I was somehow watching it online (this was before streaming was good) and she was puzzled that I could legit sit at my computer and read these minute by minute updates for hours on end. At that point she swiftly told me to get outside and go do something productive lol.

We used to get rid of Sky periodically, like when they put the price up or whatever, and it always seemed to coincide with when WCW (which was available on Bravo/TNT, which was free if you kept the box) was good.

For all that we've shrunk in the last few years, this is still a damn good online community. It really is.

You guys are great, and one day I'll write a list to tell you all why.

I'll produce the goods at some point over the holidays. Can't imagine it will differ too much from my last.

On the whole it seems the board has mellowed. No coincidence given certain figures have left.

We got Sky in 1998. I don't think a great many people had it before that sort of time, although saying that I think we became a lot more well off around the '97 mark (funny that) so it could be confirmation bias.
