On foot just under 10 hours. Was completely shivering at the end and ready to die, the last 3 km was just complete agony. Main issues have been the tight hamstrings but hopefully that's it.. Obviously I'll see in the morning when my legs are like balloons.

Pretty impressive pace. Doesn't sound like a relaxing stroll.

I'd turn away from that sort of challenge as soon as the pavement came to a stop.

I did about eighteen miles in a day once, but I drank about four litres of water whilst doing so that I think probably kept any cramps and aches away. What sort of water access did you have?

Had about 3-4 liters throughout the day and some electrolytes to add to it. I think it only really started to hit at 45km and at that point the body hit a bit of a shutdown button. Plenty of energy bars, sweets and pasta during the day.

The marathon mark is where everything can start to go down hill rapidly. Walking 40km is a breeze, relatively, but every 10k after that becomes increasingly horrendous.

The most I've walked is 30km on the flat and the last 5km were agony on the feet. 55km on hills is insanity.

I had turkey, avocado, cheddar and tomatillo salsa rolls today.

    Your classic combo.

That sounds like something that my leftover leg meat is definitely going in later this week.

We have a friends birthday party tomorrow night, which I've been looking forward to, but now out of nowhere one of the School mums has decided to throw a New Year's Eve party as well. This would be fine, but she invited us in person and in response to "yeah, sounds good, but there's no way these 2 will make midnight so we won't be able to stay for the whole thing", she said No, I know, none of them will, but we have 2 spare rooms, Charlotte's room and our room, so they will all have somewhere to sleep if they want to!"

So now they're both bouncing off the walls, fully expecting to stay up until midnight and instead of spending the evening with a Chinese and Jools Holland, I'll be dealing with 2 late nights in a row, with 2 ratty kids that are fully opposed to going home at any point before midnight.

    Thanks love.

They did a New Years Eve party at a soft play in Guernsey once which seemed completely mental to me and I was glad I was away as a lot of people I know went, although I think I did two weeks on return due to the good old Kent Variant.

Seems it was a one off thing in 2020.

Never did ask anyone what it was like.

We are having a quiet one at home which I am absolutely in favour of. The wife’s super fit mate is joining us and staying the night which is also great but I’m bound to get caught perving at some point.

Is there any site where you can see, which of the evos you have done for a players so, and what evos you can use to chain a player together? I have a 72 rated Bruno Jordao but I cant remember how I got him to this point.

Christmas is no time to chain a player together.

I'm having new year on my own, first time in years, can't wait. Will try and find a film. Lights off, bread and butter pudding in the fridge. Might have to find some custard.

I'm getting an Indian this evening to reheat tomorrow evening, but I normally can never stay awake that long these days as far as actually seeing midnight goes.

Said fit mate just popped a bottle of prosecco down her skimpy white top so I’ve abandoned watching the NFL in the other room for a bit to partake in some girl chat.

I did one with a 1.5kg fillet for Christmas this year (14 people). Definitely doing two small ones instead next year. It was still great but an absolute cunt to construct.

We're at the brother and sister in laws and the tradition is for others to bring a dish so pasta, pizza and other Italian food stuffs with loads of wine from about 830. Should be decent.

I was supposed to be going to stay with people somewhere in the midlands but youngest child started vomiting last night and went 6 hours pretty solid being sick every 15 minutes or so, so that got canned, and he's just gone off again, although hopefully it's not going to go the same way and we can just chalk this one up to 'tiredness'.

    Never seen anything like it.

I'm well used to vomit, and even bad news vomit where taking anything in, even tiny amounts of water, returns pronto, but this was just metronomic bile vomiting for 6 hours from 9pm until 3am without any outside assistance.

All houses should have some sort of wipe clean safe harbour room for such events.

Is the fit mate round yours with a partner or is she flying solo? If the latter, has your wife ever remarked that she's very attractive?

Edit : Happy new year everyone.

Wellington came out BANGING. With dauphinoise potatoes, Savoy cabbage, and beef and port sauce.

Magic try not to have a wank over my wife's foot, I can't be arsed to crop it out on mobile.
