I find it pretty negative, and tend to post with a certain sense of detachment nowadays. I'm just not fussed really, certainly not about investing anything in any of it. If I want to have a proper conversation/debate where people don't just resort to ad hominem wankery then there's enough places to go. I still come here out of habit though because it's familiar.

The main reason I lurk is the majority of the most active threads are politics and/or other subjects I don't have enough of a understanding of to pass comment. I enjoy reading them nevertheless. I have posted in a lot of the threads, but mainly when I needed advise from people (preferably from people who don't know me).

I was at my most active during the Taz donning on the betting thread, then left for a while and never saw his name mentioned again.
