Vermintide at £7.81 until the 22nd.

Third Hard lads? I enjoyed the weekend we had and wouldn't mind dipping back in.

Bought the Steam Link and Controller just now for £43.98.

I wont use it much but at the same time I couldn't say no.

Bought from Game because Steam charge £10 for shipping the fucking crooks.

I've used my link once for about half an hour, seething it's now £12 cheaper than when I bought it. Didn't see the point in buying the controller.

I don't have an Xbox controller, although I've just seen that you can use Dualshock's on them.

I'll cancel the order, hopefully. There's no cancel button ffs.

You can use Dualshocks but they're not very well supported. You have to install 3rd party software and it'll still display the XBox buttons.

I';m still using my wired 360 controller. Truly the best controller ever made and can take an absolute pasting.

I used the PS4 controller for Euro Truck Simulator and it worked perfectly, needed a USB driver installed but hopefully the native support works well now.

Got a Team 17 pack with Escapists, Escapists Walking Dead and something else I can't remember, and also LA Cops because I love that kind of 70s cop show thing.

That's what I use if I need a controller, it needs a usb receiver so if the wired ones can plug straight in then they're just as good.

@Disco Steam tells me you've got the Sorcery! games. Have you played them? It occurs to me it might be a good one to play with my niece, just not sure whether they child-friendly. I know they're adaptations of choose-your-own books so I'm guessing they are.

How old is she? There's fighting and the art style is very much in the same vein as the books (ie not cartoony at all), but there's nothing horrendous in there, especially not in the first one.

Should be fine, try the first one, it's more of a 'which path should we take through the countryside' (admittedly with the odd sword fight and spike trap) than the second one which takes place in a city.

Just ordered God of War 3 remastered for £10.85 on Shopto and GTA V with $2.5m for £23 on Tesco. Although I used £20.50 club-card points for GTA.

    I shouldn't open Hotukdeals :\

    Bought Just Cause 3.

I've been quite good in this sale, way better, so far, than I expected. Though that's partly because I've been waiting TTHard Lads to confirm something four of us are going to buy.

Yeah, Doom's a proper hog. I've probably had half a dozen patches over the year that were 15GBs each.

I'm not really into fantasy settings but I'm tempted to give The Witcher a go given how much everyone bangs on about it.

Are there any big spiders in it? That put me right off Skyrim when I tried it before.

Not that many. And while it is a fantasy setting it's quite.... urgh, I hate to use the word "gritty" but it's about as grounded as you can expect something to be when it has dragons and shit in it.
@Cord for example hates the dwarves/elves/whatever style of fantasy but bloody loves him some Witcher.

No, they give you a series of choices at the beginning that cover the basics. It might be worth watching a primer video just so you can understand the world.

Make sure you tell them you saved Ashley though.

edit: And personally I think the female Sheperd is a better actor than male. Just a tip.

I went for the Assassin's Creed bundle on there. I'd never heard of the Chronicles games but they remind me of Deadlight and games like that, a bit of Prince of Persia too.

GOG have a rather excellent sale on just now.

Might buy Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich just to see if Tombstone is still the best.
