The number of doner places in Berlin is a bit mental. I reckon there were more on one street near Warschauerplatz than there is in the whole of Glasgow.

An absolutely brilliant book. I had a massive Faulkner phase a few years back where I ploughed through a lot of his major works, and that was the pinnacle for me.

    34

    Where do you live?
    (East) London

What time did you get up at today?
    06:30

What was your best subject at school?
    English

    What's your favourite cuisine?
Indian. I'm a fiend for spice.

What was the last book you read? How was it?
The Hard Thing About Hard Things - it's a management/tech book, but very accessible

On a scale of 1 to 10, overall, how satisfied are you with your life currently?
9 - I have a good job/salary, I'm where I want to be and I have a short-term plan I should be able to achieve which gets me to where I want to be in under 3 years

How much did your last haircut cost?
£23, including tip. Went to the Turkish geezers who do the works: eyebrow trim, singeing ear hair etc.

Do you think you get enough excercise?
No. Maybe get to the gym twice a week if I'm lucky. I'm not as motivated as I should be with it, even though when I go I enjoy it/the effects of it. Too much travel for work means I'm knackered

Probably Lost, although I need to rewatch it

    Tea or Coffee?
    Morning coffee, afternoon tea

How many members of "thedugout.tv" have you met?

    Clinton. I'm not a nazi.

Where would you really like to go on holiday?
New York, San Francisco, Japan, Santorini, Rome, Costa Rica, South Korea

Who is your favourite current footballer?
    Juan Mata

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much did you enjoy completing this questionnaire?
    7

    31

    Where do you live?
    Hamilton, Scotland.

What time did you get up at today?
    06:10

What was your best subject at school?
IT/Computing, despite somehow managing a B in maths GCSE.

    What's your favourite cuisine?
    Indian, I suppose.

What was the last book you read? How was it?
First Response by Stephen Leather. Good idea for a story but his writing style irritated me in a way I can't quite put my finger on.

On a scale of 1 to 10, overall, how satisfied are you with your life currently?
    6. I'm in the best job I've had which has made me, generally speaking, happier along with having a better social life but I need to sort out basically everything else.

How much did your last haircut cost?
    £6.50 I think.

Do you think you get enough excercise?
Not remotely. The walking during my commute is the only thing stopping me becoming a wheezing blimp, I suppose.

What's the best TV series you've ever watched?
    Only Fools and Horses.

    Tea or Coffee?
    Nope.

How many members of "thedugout.tv" have you met?

Would you have voted for Clinton or Trump?
    Clinton.

Where would you really like to go on holiday?
Dunno. I'd quite like a safari I suppose.

I don't know that I have one who especially stands out at the moment. Rashford, maybe.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much did you enjoy completing this questionnaire?
Has anybody said Turtle yet? Turtle.

    How old are you?

29 (but only for another 6 weeks )

    Where do you live?

    Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

What time did you get up at today?

    8am.

What was your best subject at school?

English. I wish I'd pursued it more in later life.

    What's your favourite cuisine?

    Indian, I guess.

What was the last book you read? How was it?

Wizard and Glass by Stephen King, I'm working my way through his Dark Tower series. It was really good, maybe the best instalment so far.

On a scale of 1 to 10, overall, how satisfied are you with your life currently?

    6. Kind of bored, but also kind of happy enough to be largely responsibility free. Possibly need to grow up a bit though.

How much did your last haircut cost?

    I think about £12.

Do you think you get enough excercise?

Definitely not. I've always been lucky enough to remain stick thin, regardless of what I eat or do, and therefore found my lack of exercise very easy to ignore, but I think I need to start doing some again now I'm getting on in years a bit.

What's the best TV series you've ever watched?

    Probably The Shield.

    Tea or Coffee?

Tea, I can't stand coffee. It's the smell mostly.

How many members of "thedugout.tv" have you met?

    None, that I'm aware of.

Would you have voted for Clinton or Trump?

Obviously I would have gone Clinton, although there would have been little to no enthusiasm involved.

Where would you really like to go on holiday?

I'm not sure, hardest question for some reason. I've never been to American, so probably there. New York I guess.

Who is your favourite current footballer?

I'm not sure really have one, I'm nowhere near as into football as I was five years ago or so. I do really like Pontus Jannson at Leeds at the minute though.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much did you enjoy completing this questionnaire?

    A solid 7.

Yeah it's unbelievable. I've taken to paying debts in terms of doners and Club Mates.

"I owe you 10 from cover last night right?"
"Yah dude that's 2 doners and a mate, you can get me whenevz"

Speaking of Club Mate, theyre coming out with a Winter edition. God tier. I might start injecting mate extract into my veins when i leave this country.

    Club Mate?

MDMA is fucking rife there. Just over the bridge beside the Mercedes Benz Arena there were maybe fifteen/twenty people just openly selling and dabbing it.

Oh yeah haha that's the drugs bridge and after it, on the non-Berghain side of the water, is Görlitzer Park, which exists solely to provide room for drug dealers to peddle their wares. Me and my friends will go there for our shit and get whistles from three directions the moment we step through the gate, then it's like a 4x100 relay as our sub Saharan African drug dealer buddies race around the park to try to figure which of their colleagues has the white tiger pills this time.

I dont know how the City of Berlin allows an entire city park to just openly become a drug haven like that but it's good for people like me. Business is efficient.

Yeah, its consistent in producing great episodes. I don't think there's a perfect season, but I really like the way they try and push what's acceptable and what isn't. Its pretty much all I watch on Netflix these days.

Agree with both. With the recurring characters, recurring jokes and character development, it really does suck you in and reward obsessive viewing.

I came up to Paisley for uni, stayed with my sister for a bit and then when I was looking for my own place my parents said they'd cover some of my rent if I stayed somewhere near enough to my sister's family to save them money on hotels when they came to visit.

Moving somewhere closer to Glasgow would be good but my commute from here is a piece of piss so I'm in no rush.

Paisley, Carmyle and Hamilton. All the hotspots.

Glasgows a great city but it does take a bit of knowledge to find the great spots. On the surface it must look like a shithole, architecture aside.

Yeah in fairness I wasn't there very long. I just found it a bit dreary but I didn't know too many good spots (though Ian sorted me with a few).

Weather was fucking horrendous too which never helps an impression of anywhere.

I liked Glasgow okay; the area around the uni was quite good. It seemed like more of a real city than Edinburgh, which is a big museum. I think every single inhabitant smokes cigarettes though.

The 'cuisine' question has drawn some stark class lines through the heart of TTH, I feel.

Also - this is such a random selection of questions. I keep thinking there's maybe some kind of logic Venn diagram to them, but it's probably just nonsense.

Giggles mate, by your standards using tomato ketchup is an act of bourgeois decadence.

YouGov have a tool which is like that on a huge scale, so you can find out that Lib Dems disproportionately like mayonnaise and that sort of thing. It's pretty cool.

Thai cuisine is pretty shit over here, but in Jersey those old rich perverts have really created something incredible. Its probably worth visiting just for the restaurants on the island tbh.

Was that not John? I remember reading that at the time but cant quite remember who
It's all incredibly cheap too. I got a huge box full of doner and chips for three Euro that I couldn't finish even with drunk hunger. It wasn't really any better than Glasgow, there were just so many of them that I can't imagine any single one ever having a queue.

    Definitely wasn't me.

I'm always utterly baffled by doner in the UK. It's not just supposed to be strips of meat piled on top of a piece of pitta bread. Maybe it's just the places I went but it was always the same.

It'd want to be a pretty shit place to be serving it on pitta. You'd rarely see one that does.

Most I've seen will have the lamb on a skewer and use what looks like a naan/pizza base to wrap it. So long as it's salad free I'd do any though.

I've never seen it anywhere other than takeaways frequented by drunk people, always sliced off the big rotating elephant leg and served in a pitta bread.

Strange. You'd find that shit here a lot but the one thing I could always guarantee myself is that I'd get a good kebab when visiting England. I'd even refer to a proper place here as having an 'English type kebab'. Never got it on a pitta there. The log maybe 10% of the time but always on proper bread.

In a pitta would be fine. These were ALWAYS on top of the pitta.

I have donner about once a year, and get it with chips, cheese, garlic sauce and chill sauce. It's an utter abomination but pretty much the best food ever.

Doner is always 'the log'. The word refers specifically to that upended spit thing they're cooked on.

I assume there's an edible version that the takeaway kebab is based on but I've only ever seen the ones that appear to be made of dog dicks and pigeon lips.

My local place has it on skewers that are cooking in a big thing like a tandoor. Seen it plenty of times.
