Only one transfer for my two teams this week - Ciaran Clark into the main FPL team for Florian Lejeune, who was going to be playing alongside Clark but got injured and now Lascelles has taken his place.
I brought Martial in as the GW started last week.
So he obviously picked up an injury.
I’ll need to find a way of getting Kane in alongside Morata and Lukaku.

I think old Roger Firmino is going to have to go. He promised much but has gone very quiet and the international breaks seem to nobble Brazilians.

I thought I was in trouble as Niko had 3 Spurs defenders (2 and 1 keeper) but the rest of his team were shit.
Operation Spurs defence has been a good one apart from Danny Rose opening his big fucking mouth 1 day before the start of the season and going on permanent Levy IR.
My transfer policy in the last few weeks has been something out of the QPR 2014 handbook, so I've used my wild card. Anything under 100 points from the next set of games would represent a disgrace.

I've ditched Mané with his injury, and gone to David Silva for a million cheaper. Means a stay of execution for Bob Firmino, sadly. I might start Shane Duffy ahead of him.
Mané's untimely demise has ruined what little chances my draft team ever had.
I can see why they've gone for the draft league (basically a total rip-off of the maniacally followed American football fantasy phenomenon, seriously read our thread, it's like a self-help group) but I'm not really sure it works in association football for that very reason. There aren't enough high-performing players in soccer to make it worthwhile, and unlike gridiron the points system is either/or, you don't get the odd yard here or there helping. 80% of Premier League players are dreck who will bring in 2 points max.
Indeed. Drafting needs a massive pool of regularly used talent, which just doesn't exist in football.
I think to make it work they would have to adopt a more individual performance points system (like the one I recall Yahoo used) whereby individual players can gather a lot more points than in the fpl system (which works fine for a non-draft format as everyone can have a decent forward or two). As it is, you're likely to get molested by a marquee forward most weeks, and there about about 3 of them.
Any ideas? My team feels completely fucked and I have no idea how to fix it outside of wildcarding

All 4 of my subs are worth 0-1 points. I have nothing in the bank to react to an injury/suspension. I've got 5 5.0+ defenders and only 3 of them played last time.
Everyone has shit subs and your free transfers will sort out any of your starters that aren't cutting it. Keep your bottle.
Downgrade Danilo to a regular 4.5 like Naughton and then you can use the funds to upgrade a sub next week. All good.

Only, I didn't think about price changes as I've been fucking around with my team, meaning I traded for instance Sterling out at some point and when I meant to trade him back in, I realized I'd lost 0.1 on him
So now he's staying out on principle, the fucker.
I've also gone for some sort of monstrous combination of having Hazard, Sanchez, Jesus and Lukaku, which more or less means the rest of my entire squad is dross.
I can't get my head around this years edition - there are so many expensive players to choose from and no real proper bargains to be had, it seems.
