    TTH DECIDES: Kane or Lukaku

Because every time I turn on soccer talking heads they seem to be debating that very question.

Kane by a mile (and I think Lukaku is very good). Going to be seething when he scores one goal in a group stage exit at the world cup though.

It was going to be this or Michael Keane vs Maya Yoshida. I can't start them all though.

Oof. Lukaku's probably more likely to be fit for the whole season. And they've both been banging them in for years.

Kane is better and more complete but Lukaku would still get in 80% of Champions League XIs, I think.

Kane. Easily so. The lad is unstoppable at the moment.

My gut says Kane but I need to see their expected goal stats before I commit.

It feels like Lukaku misses more sitters. And I'll be interested to see how he gets on in the big games.

Well, he’s a bit of a mong and they usually have monsters.

Kane. Lukaku has been great too, but Kane has more to his game. Depending who qualifies as a centre forward, Kane might be the best there is at the moment.

I think Harry Kane would be better for United, but I don't think he could carry a bollocks side the way Romelu Lukaku was with Everton, so the latter would probably be more useful in an England shirt.

Kane for sure, but I think Lukaku can go up a few more levels. Kane will be still banging them in when he’s 33 though as doesn’t rely on pace.

Kane would be shit at chasing long balls all day so this is probably true. It’s probably why he was shit on Loan at Norwich or wherever it was.

Kane is more two-footed and has more variation in his play. Lukaku is pure monster and just batters shit manlet defenders.

Kane, but Lukaku is surprising me with how well he's doing so far. If he keeps it up for the entire season, then it might be a discussion.

Lukaku has done it for WBA, Everton and now Man United on a more regular basis. Kane whilst top notch has an entire squad pretty much built around him.

I hate to even say it but the transfer fee for Lukaku is looking quite a bargain.

Kane is the best finisher to play in this country since Shearer. I love watching him shoot. That sounds weird. But I do.

He has a distinct lack of faff about his finishing.

Was listening to The Stand today and Giles was saying that Spurs have taken advantage of Kane with wages because he's a simpleton

He's definitely daft. It wouldn't surprise me if Sky are cutting his interviews around the various instances of him saying 'hello mum' and giving her a wave.

He's definitely not daft. I don't know how much he knows about Markov Chain Monte Carlo but I don't give a fuck, his style of play is the most based around footballing intelligence of pretty much anyone I can think of

Declarations about footballers being thick/not - off the field - are always so weird. I had a United fan trying to convince me the other day that Romelu Lukaku is some kind of polymath.

Are you sure he didn't mean polyglot? He does speak 5-6 languages.

Pretty sure everyone from Belgium will do 4 just as a starting point, and I don't know if he's got Lingala in his tally from his dad. But no, apparently he's an economics professor as well and generally the most intelligent man ever to grace Western society (since he signed for United, anyway).

From the ones I've met, they all speak their local language and whatever English they can pick up off The Simpsons.

Isn't it Kompany who's got all that? Lukaku seems pretty normal.
