Yeah, under Carlo Ancelotti, who specialises in winning that and chucking the league (Ronaldo barely scored in the league that year).

Is there some historical link between the two clubs or is all this fuckwittery because they've had the same manager and they're just a bunch of wankers?

Not quite sure why our midfielders are letting are letting the opposition just run through them.

    That's embarrassing.

Not sure about the away goals rule. Sometimes seems a shame from an entertainment point of view.

Going 2-0 down in the first 9 minutes is what ruins games.

Lovren's hilarious. That Van Basten effort reminded me of the FA Cup semi last year. Liverpool needed a goal and had a bit of momentum, it was the beginning of stoppage time and he had a shot from more than 40 yards, which, shock horror, flew miles over the bar. Completely killed any belief they had.

Michael Owen when it didn't go in: he was never going to score from there.

Michael Owen if it did go in: he was always going to score from there.

The Europa League is a brilliant trophy to win. Don't know why us brits often play it down. The fact it gives a Champions League place gives it a new extra edge.

I don't know how much of that can be attributed to Klopp but surely it's got to be a lot. Under Rodgers the game would have been over after the first half. He's changed the mentality of the team completely.

What a turnaround for Lovren after missing the decisive penalty against the Turks last year.
