I don't think it's bad at all. I think it's pretty good. It just seems a pain in the arse to get set up and working properly.

I'm not sure how the PC one works but should be able to do something along the lines of below.

Seriously considering cancelling Sky Sports tomorrow and ordering a Raspberry Pi to shove this highly praised Beast build of Kodi on there.
I've been in this situation before but this time I've tasted the, er, Stream.... and it seems like a goer.

I downloaded and installed The Beast.
It looks largely the same but I get a 'The Beast' splash screen when I open Kodi.
Even after you did step 10?
Yes.
It did install extra video add-ons but I have no '3pm Kick off Section'.

Download that Wizard.zip
Open Kodi, go to Add ons, install from zip (like in the video, I had to push the file to my Fire TV using ADBfire), once that install is done go to videos, add ons, Spartan Wizard and click the Beast.
It should take care of the rest from there.
Still the same but with some add-ons auto downloaded...
All I could think to suggest would be a fresh install of Kodi and trying again. Do you have 15.0?
I fucking love Kodi. The NBCSN streams are immense, as is the Acestream add on. Streams the majority of games in good quality, Genesis means I'm rarely downloading these days. For those you can't find in sound quality, use Reddit Soccer Streams. Ustream links are normally solid.
Use https://seo-michael.co.uk for the guides, simple to follow.
Does it work with tablets? Sometimes. How the fuck this have so much complements when it doesn't work on basic tablets?
It does.
I tried it on mine last night.
I did that but it still doesn't seem to have a 3pm kickoffs section. There are loads of addons though (probably too many, I only really want Genesis and a decent football one). And I still had to change to the Aeon skin myself.
I got the remote working! I needed to install Apple's Bonjour and then enable zeroconf in the settings of Kodi. Works great now.
The Bonjour service What a load of shite.

Went some disabled blokes house (spina bifida) today and he was all set up with streaming and stuff. Recommended me a movi box (or something?) and use Showbox. I assume he's a noob and Raspberry Pi with Kodi (with this fancy Beast mode on, natch) is the real winner, right?
Also, this Genesis you lot are using. Is that for streaming films and TV?
I'm a twit
Yeah, Genesis does films and TV. You can add Showbox to Kodi as well.
Is there a way to 'save' TV shows so you don't have to go through all the menus again to find what you were watching before? I added one to my favourites in Genesis but I still have to go to videos - add-ons - genesis - favourites to get to it. Is there no way to make it easier to access?
The best I can suggest is when you are in Genesis and you select 'My Genesis' highlight 'Favourite TV' and press your menu button ( The C button on a keyboard) then select add to favourites. This should be accessible from the Kodi home screen by clicking on the star on the bottom of the page
I installed The Beast last night, all seems to be working but runs slow compared to the normal Kodi. Takes a few seconds for each menu to populate. Is this normal?
I've been paying a fiver a month for football for years now. Baz was showing me this at our Dads before and I was pretty impressed. Going to give it a go next weekend and see how it is compared to my normal streaming site.
New Chromecast...ermmm. Looks weird.
Is it Kore? The keyboard just comes up when you're in a menu that requires it. Like if you select search, the keyboard on the app will open up for you to input the text. At least it does for me.
What do you mean with the second part?
Must have just not realised I needed it on whatever screen I was on then.
The second bit: I've got one of them android boxes set up but when it comes on I have to use the crappo remote to launch Kodi before I can use my phone to control it. Would be good if there was an app on my phone that controlled everything, so I could sack off the remote control.
I'm a twit
I use Yatse for my android remote, very easy to setup and has tons of features
I use the same on my G3, does the job.
Is Yatse better than Kore? I had downloaded both but I got Kore working first so I just went with it.
No idea, I should have said 'used' to be fair and I did the same as you, just used the first one that worked. I had an iPhone for a while and just used the official XBMC remote on iOS, then when I got my G3 I used Yatse, but once I put Kodi on a Raspberry Pi I was able to enable it as a CEC device and just use my TV remote to control Kodi.
Had it programmed on an RTI remote for a while, but I don't have enough devices to justify a control system, once I buy an AV receiver I'll probably get back on the RTI remote.
Lads get it up on a Raspberry Pi.
Kodi is there, ready as soon as you need it.
I don't have a Raspberry Pi.
Well fucking get one then you twat.
I like the beast but it is slow, i have a Raspberry Pi one, should could be the issue
Almost certainly, that gig of RAM on the pi 2 is a game changer.
My old B+ now just serves as turning an old external hard drive into a NAS.
I installed The Beast but most things didn't work. Asked the bloke on Facebook and he advised I downgraded Kodi from 15.1 to 14.2 so I'll do that later and try to get the rugby on there.
I'm a twit
Got an issue with Phoenix not updating the Live Sports listings, so I've always got yesterdays games listed. Sama, if I chuck some money at you would you be willing to set a Pi up and send it to me?
I've ordered one for tomorrow, should be able to post it out to you on Monday.
Don't worry about the money, I owe you.
Mate I'm ready whenever you are.
Gave this a try, the subtitles are dogshit, never in sync. How do I get them to work?
Learn English.
I'm a twit
Just installed Kodi and The Beast on my laptop. I currently pay for football streaming, going to give this a go tomorrow, see if I can replace the paid for service.
Well... I have question. Why all the trouble when you can download popcorn and watch movies in a jiffy?
