Albon don't you fucking dare.
Albon don't you fucking dare.
Right, can cause a safety car now. Should be fine
Bottas 12% vote for driver of the day? What?
Will he cry? I think he'll cry.
Landoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
It's finally fucking happened.
Let's fucking go boys.
That’s the best high since I quit drugs. Oh my god let’s go
Waff, our boy has done it \0/.
Finally nice to hear an emotional radio message at the end rather than the usual "well done guys, car handled really nicely all weekend"
Everyone liked that.
Ahhh this is brilliant stuff.
I'm sure he'll be crying into his Service stop chicken fillet roll tonight.
I was genuinely surprised to see Norris so easily pull away after the safety car. Verstappen had no answer for his pace.
Let’s enjoy this before Max wins by half a minute in Imola.
Imola layout should suit McLaren down to the ground (before the upgrades) so god knows how good they could be there. Only one DRS zone is a bonus as well
I mean, I'm all for some competition, but let's not get carried away. Verstappen was clearly slower than usual in Miami and it took a VSC and a Safety Car for him to not win.
Am I hearing things correctly in that the safety car picked up Verstappen thinking he was the leader? I think Lando owes him.
Looks like you are right. I dont think it would have made much difference. Lando had a 5+ second lead before the safety card and his pace indicates, he was quicker after. Passing Max on track would have been interesting though.
Lando was 30 seconds clear of everyone. Was it not just a case of him being on his own and then pitting whilst the safety car caught the main pack?
Because the SC caught Max, Lando could have pitted as he did for the hards, run it back around to the pitlane, pitted again and put a new set of mediums back on and possibly still come back out in first(it would have been very close). Problem is he used that set in Q3.
There just seemed to be no overtaking in the front cars no matter which way around they all were. The exception being when Sainz decided fuck Piastri. You had several occasions were it seemed Leclerc was faster than Piastri, Sainz faster than both, Hamilton faster than Perez, but none of them could make a move.
He still would have come out in front of Max I believe - the time lost when pitting under SC was only 9 seconds. Timing of the SC being called meant Lando couldn't immediately pit but he was past the SC Line 1 before the SC had left the pits - all worked out correctly in the end.
Yeah I think he still comes ahead, it just gave him (and the mechanics) a big leeway for that pit stop.
Also Verstappen violated the safety car restart rule (that was put in place because of him). I think he only got let off with that because Norris gapped him quickly.
Nah, he got away with it because his name is Max Verstappen.
I was surprised that it wasn't even noted. I guess if they had noted it, they would have to punish him so maybe that's why.
All in all, it's somewhat poetic that his fuck-up that broke the bollard and triggered the VSC also indirectly led to the Safety Car that cost him the race.
Imola will be massive for the season. It's a strong track for McLaren anyway and this will really show if their upgrade is legit. Ferrari also due a big upgrade which they're unusually bullish about.
No way was Red Bull's lack of pace down to Max driving over a bollard. He was already 0.3s per lap slower than Norris in the previous handful of laps before he took it out, which was exactly the same gap Norris was pulling on him after the safety car.
I think it wasn't even noted because Lando didn't go from that moment. He waited a little longer to put the foot down and by that point, Max was back behind.
Max is pretty ridiculous from SC restarts - whenever he's leading, it seems like he's a second up the road by the time they cross the start/finish line.
Imola is one of my favoruite tracks. Fantastic circuit.
Red Bull said the bollard damaged his floor – as if .
I could see the bollard possibly causing some damage since it was stuck there for some time, but it definitely wasn't why he was slow. Any other race and he would have built a 10-second gap within like 15 laps.
He was slow (for his standards) all weekend really.
In both qualis he was basically handed pole, especially the sprint one.
He was complaining a lot more as well about the car than he usually does.
Hopefully, the grid becomes more competative now. We have never seen a one driver dominance like Max ever before.
It's Monaco Historique time!
Adrian Newey's out there at the minute driving a Ferrari.

Moto GP was good today.
First time watching Formula E. That is some Mario Kart level shit.
Is Max Biaggi still about?
He has some kind of role with Aprilia, but seems to just saunter around the paddock looking cool.

Here. We. Go.
Ferrari's updates looking promising in FP1 but more importantly:
I noticed in France the other week every good-looking young man had a moustache like it was 1940 or something, maybe it's a sign that war is coming.
Don’t want to get excited but I must have watched Verstappen drive off the track about 3 or 4 times today.
McLaren looking GOOD. Norris would have had the fastest lap but pitted instead. No idea why they always do it with him. Long runs look good too. Should be a belter
Max drifting to 8/13 to win the race and 6/5 to win quali if anyone doesn’t believe the hype. He’s not been at them odds in a long time
FP1 Leclerc
FP2 Leclerc
FP3 Leclerc
Quali Leclerc
Race Verstappen
This is the way.
