Sensational refereeing to tell the Nandos boy to fuck off because if the ref is a monghow and calls it, VAR will just show him contact and he sticks with his decision.

Were the quarters split KO times/staggered weeks last year or was there just a dead fixture on every day? Annoying to have to split screen such games.

At a Premier League Shareholders’ meeting today, clubs unanimously agreed to the introduction of Semi-Automated Offside Technology.

I look forward to seeing how they managed to fuck this up.

Granted I only watched highlights, but this Atletico-Dortmund game last night looked like an absolute clown show. Almost every chance (and all three goals) for either team was a result of poor defending.

Good job Alisson is nearly back as Kelleher has stopped saving shots again the past couple of weeks.

This looks a lot like a team that has made 6 changes. No real rhythm at all.

I expect Salah, Szobo and maybe Diaz come on at HT.

Was checking out Villa's potential opponents in the Conference League and there's nothing like the comfort blanket of clicking on a Turkish teams squad. No matter what year it is, you'll always be greeted with a few faces you thought retired years ago, a couple of high profile premier league transfer flops, some guy who was a wonderkid in FM back in the day who's now 28 and a random West African player who's name you recognise because he spent a couple years at a upper tier Championship team.

I was thinking about something like this earlier - is it possible to predict which players will end up in Turkey? Of the Utd squad: Amrabat, Onana, Martial and Lindelof are my bets.

I was just coming to say this is one of the greats of the genre of Goe Jomez being fucking useless.

He’s actually done ok the past few months but he’s been awful tonight. Where’s Bradley? We’ve looked much better the past couple of weeks with just two full backs bombing on.

Edit that shot and then getting stuck underneath the header from the goal kick was as bad as it gets.

Moyes also doing his best (though in fairness 1-0 is not a bad result all things considered). No subs in the 85th minute after getting battered all game.

That game really showed up Endo’s shortcomings as well. He’s actually been pretty good since September but if anyone presses him he gets caught too easily in possession and can’t play out of it.

You could see in the first half it needed someone to be brave at the base of midfield and play round their crazy man to man marking all over the pitch if you do that you can probably pull them to piece’s but he’s not the player to do that.

Only put out Bayern and Barca in the knockouts and had a group with Napoli and PSG in it though. City and Madrid shit the bed in the Spurs side of the draw can’t control that.

This one hadn't came into my head but I'd be all over that. Though someone going favourite for this poisoned chalice normally means he'll be ruling himself out by this time tomorrow.

I remember watching Question Time years ago when Katie Hopkins was on it. She was roundly booed for saying some/a lot of Women don't want equality, they couldn't handle it if they got it and what they're actually after is special treatment.

    I'll just leave that there.

Nice for John Eustace, the only opposition manager to win at Leeds this season despite being sacked by now-23rd place Birmingham for not being winny enough while they were in the top six.

Ipswich's keeper had a brain fart and ran out of the area with the ball still in his hands still and the ref/linesman just didn't clock it. Play on.

I love the current Blues arc. Having not remembered last time they sacked a perfectly good manager for having them in the playoffs but not playing sexy enough football they did it again. Only to come full circle and get the man back in who they sacked 7 years ago for not playing sexy enough football. You couldn’t make it up at this point.

Spurs shipping 4 today could actually be quite important. Now 1 behind Villa on GD with same amount of games played and probably no extra CL place
