why get a new dog 5 months before you go to college? pointless
He's at the age/mentality where having the dog is more about him than the dog, so it'll be easily discarded.
I have a cat. She hates Baz.

My 13 year old lab
I have a cat, and my girlfriend has a cat. Perhaps they'll meet one day. My girlfriend's cat looks a bit like Hitler.
Next door bought a new cat, let it out on Thursday (for presumably one of the first times) and it hasn't been seen since it came into ours for a bit but I missed it.
There's a small cat (kitten presumably) I've see hanging around near our office recently and it really doesn't appear to have a clue what it's doing with regard to crossing roads and generally where it should be going. I've twice nearly seen it wiped out by passing vans. I take it they just have instinct but this one doesn't seem to.
I have two cats. This one is Basil:

and this is Minty:

I also fostered 20+ cats last year. Here are some of them:
Daisy and her five kittens (Baldy, Peach Cream, Loki, Tiger, and Black Tiger)

These are Hobo, Puma (RIP), Fluff and Wildling. I don't have pictures of their mom (Pasha) or their other brother (also called Wildling)

These two geezers are Benson and Bennett

and finally we have Amelia and her kittens (Annabelle, Misty, Bear, and Sonic)

Unfortunately you'll have to wait for pictures of Biscotti, Cinnabon, Toodles, Racing Stripe, and Zula as I don't have any on this computer.
None of them work for me. Think they need .jpg on the end
Hobo
What happened to Puma?
Hobo was an absolute superstar.
Some infection that made her eye be full of pus and inflamed all the time. Poor little thing didn't make it. If I recall correctly two others from that batch also died within their first day or two (before we got them.) Luckily the remaining four made it through like champs.
That's a lot of pussy.
You can't start a pet thread with a post about your new dog and not give us pictures.
This is Troy. He mainly enjoys shitting inside and being a don.
Thunder the cat is in the background doing what he does best; eating.
My parents are down to two cats now. It was three until recently but one of them was hit by a car a couple of months ago and had to be put down. The two younger ones shat out about seventeen kittens in 2014/15, always disappearing after labour and coming back pregnant before anybody got a chance to have them spayed. They did finally get it sorted, and it stopped them being so territorial with the third cat (those two were mother and daughter so tended to bully the other one). I never liked the younger two, whereas the older one they scare out of the house is a don and has outlived I don't know how many little shits. With the death of the third one she's finally realised she doesn't have to let the other dickhead scare her out of the house so natural order is resumed, and she's back to sleeping on my bed whenever I fail to close the door properly.
My mother feeds him before she goes to work, but apart from that he's been snoozing/asleep since yesterday afternoon. What a life.
Take him for a walk.
He needs some exercise, the fat bastard.
It's raining, and he isn't fat. He's sixty pounds of muscle and skin.
Muscle and skin.
That wallpaper.
Continuing life as a knob my cat has pulled all the seal thing from around the window off on one side. She's now set her aim to the other side of the window.
What a knob
She's cute though.
I've got the dog walking without his lead, and, even if I say so myself, we look pretty swish bowling around Hedon.
We're going to a couple of rehoming centres today to see how Ella-Beth is around dogs. We are looking at getting a dog at some point next year if all goes to plan, however most only seem to rehome puppies with babies and puppies are dickheads.
I'm hoping we can find an older dog who has been around babies before but that's onviously unlikely.
Think we'll get one once we move house and our daughter is a bit bigger, the next 18 months or so.
Do you have any specific breeds in mind?
As cool as King Charles Spaniels are, heart disease gets them all within 10 years. My folks are looking after my sister's two and Poppet (the youngest one) can't catch her breath at all. She's still dumb enough to follow you round the house but, every few minutes she's plonking herself on the floor waiting for a second wind.
Avoid them.
let's see if i can hotlink instagram
also if it works for me i have no idea if it's actually working due to caching
this is Maisie the Keeshond. she is funny.
Cool dog, I've never heard of a Keeshond is it some kind of husky type thing?
Yeah, they're all part of the Spitz family. Keeshonds top out around fifty pounds.
Unlike huskies and so on, though, they're good living in apartments and are super, super, super friendly.
When she was really, really little, she used to piddle out of excitement whenever little kids got close.
I assume they need less crazy amounts of exercise than huskies and the like. I've always liked Beagles but I don't have the right space or time for one.
My wifes auntie has a Beagle, it's a fucking brilliant dog. The perfect combination of playful and cuddly. Great with kids and just happy to knock about with anyone.
Loads of them about as well what with hunt kennels etc.
Don't Beagles absolutely reek?
My boss at work has a couple. They're always bagging rabbits and such. I can imagine living that life brings the smell of death home.
All dogs stink. You just stop noticing it after a while.
@Lewis is your dog ever awake?
He drifts between sleeping and snoozing for a lot of his day. But no, not really.
Went for a look in a local cat place, it was sad.... only went for a look but look what happened...
Meet Betty
She's fresh from a bath there
Almost as gay as @leedsrevolution's gay dog.
