It hasn't happened yet but Clattenburg (who is desperately trying and failing to be John Anderson) was way too hasty with the "RELEASE" last week, especially on gauntlet.
The chumps should actually have to beat the gladiators.
Oh and Viper is the shittest new Gladiator, fuck him.
Apparently the ratings for the first one were 6.2 million which is freakishly high.
This new event is horseshit.
Where's the Wall though?
Surely you should get maximum points for taking the Gladiator out on that one?
Hm, maybe this event isn't good. The Gladiators could probably just do a flying crossbody to do this.
Viper is so wank, especially in Gauntlet.
He's been bullied every single time. Might as well not even be there.
A lot of the male gladiators seem very immobile by comparison with the original. Pretty sure they were all pretty nimble despite their size, a few of these are just immobile obelisks.
It is really well done as a show though. Perfect family entertainment.
I wonder if you go back to the first OG series if the Gladiators were also just a bit poo at some of the events until they got used to it? But yeah, Viper is rank at Gauntlet in particular.
If I was a Gladiator in Gauntlet I'd just be hoping I didn't get the sofa cushions.
Also in the absence of them having cloned Jet I reckon I might be a Sabre guy.
Some of these Gladiator "FACTS" are amazing.
I believe last week it said one of them car run as fast as car, going at 22mph...
The gauntlet used to be a lot narrower I think, you can just breeze through this one.
The only person who hasn't made it through the gauntlet was the last who twisted his knee.
Maybe throw it in the bin as it seems way too easy now.
Quite impressed that the Mercury estate are still letting them use Another One Bites The Dust.
Pyramid must be a health and safety nightmare.
Nitro was rapid up there.
Fair play to John too.
That little dweeb in the crowd with ear defenders on.
Please tell me Wolf is involved in some way.
Turns out you can win the wall if you just don't do your laces up properly.
They need to get them in proper lace-up boots.
I reckon I could smash the travellator.
Yesterday I went to B&Q, I couldn't find a working lift and the travellator going up to the first floor was out of order so I CASUALLY walked up the travellator that was going in the reverse way.
Piss easy.
Serious faceplant from John. Ouch.
John have a mare here. The fall off the beam looked sore.
Zoe is completely gassed.
They must dial it back after a while.
Women gladiators is much more fun than men gladiators.
Oh dear, the ladies have completely borked this.
I love a "both contenders standing at the bottom of the travelator looking shattered" moment.
Another fun episode. So glad they've not fucked this.
Barney needs punting though.
The eliminator is just great TV. Props to whoever designed the run 30 plus years ago.
Barney has Roman Roy vibes which I have to say I'm not entirely against.
It's telling with the Eliminator that other than the bendy balance beam they haven't, I think(?), felt the need to change anything else. Has a bit of everything.
No handbike for the men, guess that's equality.
I read somewhere that Bradley Walsh and the mannequin he brought with him are only signed up for one series so it might be a new presenting team next time. Who will line up alongside Jermaine Jenas is the question
The women tonight looked liked they'd never climbed a rope or a cargo net before. I feel like those would be things you'd have a go at before going on telly.
Wolf. In a suit.
What's the event?
I hope it involves scaffolding.
