Brighton are also capable of a bottle in this top 4 race then.
Brighton are also capable of a bottle in this top 4 race then.
Come on for fuck sake.
That's it. The strategy of hoping nobody else gets any points has failed. We're down.
Brighton out of the top four race
Hard to see how this isn't a conspiracy.
This malnourished Argie lad isn't making it in Europe. But the Big Mac looks like prime Thiago
Get Ferguson and March/Enciso on and this is gonna be a tasty 2nd half.
Game too early Everton.
Could be my imagination but haven't there been far more total capitulations in the PL this season than you would expect?
Maybe teams are all being coached just to play one way now and have no adaptability/answer when the tide turns against them.
That's a lovely hit by McNeil.
Dwight McNeil has been eating his carrots.
That's one of the most outrageous ganes of football I've ever seen. This greasy Italian midget really came to brexitball and thought he could change the order of things.
Sean Dyche. What a man.
The win was obviously good for Everton but they've done wonders by winning by 4.
Forest can't really match their goal difference now and Leeds would do well to, especially with Newcastle coming ready to hump them.
I suppose the only thing we can hope for now if Everton do stay up is that by the New Year the fans will have had enough of the shit on a stick football and hound him out to be replaced by Roberto Martinez’s regen or something.
Still think they are in the old Sunderland death spiral someone just really needs to get them flushed away properly.
Everton are still fucked if they stay up, just not as immediately. They'd have to invest well in the squad or hope Dyche can get some bargain buys in like he did at Burnley. They're also still under FFP investigation which could dock them points too.
Forest saving themselves now too.
Two cracking goals by forest.
I think you're all underestimating Leeds. If there's a more powerful force in the universe than Sam Allardyce's desire to earn a £2.5 million bonus then it sure isn't to be found in the Premier League relegation battle.
Just clocked that Brighton had the higher xG yesterday, not sure if I'm surprised or not.
It's the only thing we have to nail any hope to. Unfortunately I think you could extend that offer to each individual player and it wouldn't help, we just don't have the quality.
Magic has nailed it, we're the worst team in the league. It boggles the mind that Southampton exist below us. Granted, I don't watch a lot of non-Leeds football so my exposure to them is limited but I'm certain they can't be as bad as us at our worst. And we exist almost exclusively at our worst at the moment.
If by some miracle we escaped the scale of the rebuild required to make us competitive in the league next season would be staggering. I'm not sure it would be doable and I kind of don't have any interest in staying up to go through another season of this. It's just shit. At least going down would be a strong catalyst for moving a lot of them on.
I mean I say all that but then obviously I'll be going into the weekend hoping against hope we turn Newcastle over and stay in contention. Fucking football.
Talksport were talking about the exodus of all the decent footballers from the relegated teams and there wasn't one Leeds player mentioned lol. Sums it up.
I (as a lower to middle Prem club) would have a punt on Aaronson or Harrison, but in general you've just been living off Bielsa elevating a bunch of schmos about 1000% beyond their natural ceiling.
Wasn't everyone losing their mind over that Gnocchi [I know this isn't his name but I can't think of it] guy a while back?
He'd make for a good double swoop with Kevin Lasagna.
Nail on the head.
Bamford is the perfect example of this. Patrick Bamford is not a good striker. He never has been a good striker. There was just a two year period of smoke and mirrors (the promotion season and the first season up) where Marcelo worked his magic and set us up to play in such a way that he couldn't help but to bag a certain numbers of goals.
The promotion season in particular I remember still spending the majority of the season very frustrated with him and aware we needed better. An actual clinical finisher would have netted 30+ times in the league that season.
You wouldn't want anything to do with Aaronson, trust me. His first order of business this summer needs to be a job lot of protein shakes and a three month gym membership. He's made of paper. Harrison will land somewhere in the Premier League I imagine. He blows hot and cold but when he turns up he's a great contributor. Plus he's English, which tends to add a certain allure to some prospective buyers I suppose.
Luke Ayling is the one that always comes to mind. Absolutely no way he ever plays Premier League football, let alone looks quite decent for a time, in any other set of circumstances.
Aaronson is absolutely useless but Harrison is probably worth a punt. Adams is a good player and so is Sinisterra but injuries...
Add Wober and Gnonto (and probably Rodrigo too to be fair to him this season) to the ones you have already mentioned and the rest of them, genuinely, can all get out of my fucking sight.
Meslier is the weird one. Up until a couple of months ago I would have genuinely talked myself blue in the face about how he's one of the better young keepers around with an excellent future and on paper our most valuable asset. As it stands at the minute I wouldn't really want him in the net for us next season in the Championship.
I've assumed Gnonto has a pre-agreement with Juve FYI.
Dias just saved a certain goal there.
What a block.
City look so slow at times. They are playing right into Real's plan it feels like.
Vini
What a hit that was.
The noise that made.
Grealish is such a little cunt.
Real’s gameplay in the big games is amazing. Zidane and now Ancelotti, at times getting absolutely fisted, weather the storm then put away their only half chance. Outstanding.
They've made that competition their own.
That would have been an all-time great goal.
