Murmurings about that Liverpool have enquired as to how much Jacob Ramsey and Moises Caicedo would cost.
I can't really see either happening this late in the day, but I hope it's true that we're at least looking.

Maguire hasn't been the same player since Mykonos.
After that €80m bid for Antony was rejected, United are apparently going back in with even more.
Absolutely mental.
Schweinsteiger and Depay all over again.
I think if at the start of the window you had said these transfers would happen it would have sounded alright (still not convinced on Casemiro, but I am trying to talk myself round), but, once again, why is it being done like this? Ed Woodward wasn't terrible at transfer business by the end of his spell (at least in terms of doing the deal rather than getting the right people), but these clowns have taken the club back a decade.
Bailly off on loan with option to buy to Marseille.
The Glazers seem to have taken leave of their senses after the first games of the season and have sanctioned funds for a forward, a right-back, a keeper and possibly another midfielder depending on who you listen to. Budget around £300m
I can't see a route to higher than a 6th place finish no matter who they bring in. I suppose they could try and win the Europa League.
Or are on Ronaldo's 'people that don't mind me' list.
Sarr to Villa is OFF.
United still planning to go back in for De Jong according to De Telegraaf and Mullock.
Also want both Gakpo AND Antony.
Who is going to be the Fellainimania to De Jong's Fabregas when we finally accept it's not happening?
Who is Ajax's equivalent totally different centre mid we're going to panic buy? Or has Casemiro already fulfilled that in advance?
Harry Winks is available.
Shame you didn't go for N'Dombele actually. Very on brand.
Rafael Leão to Chelsea gathering pace according to the Times. Losing to Leeds might be a blessing. What a plur
Bailly to Marseille HERE WE GOed.
United want Trapp from Frankfurt to compete for the goalkeeping spot.
Chelsea bidding £60m for Anthony Gordon. To be quite honest I don't even know who he is.
I know @-james- rates him highly.
I think you might have mistaken me for someone else.
I like him, but it's an amusing piece of symmetry that that's the same fee that Richarlison went for.
The English Tax must be about 40 million alone these days.
His YouTube highlight reel suggests he's very good at doing sudden turns in the middle of the pitch
I've don't really know what Tuchel would want him for. He doesn't seem good enough at the scoring goals stuff to be a winger at at top, top side and they really don't need any more wingbacks.
I quite like him as a player, but the fee seems steep.
Casemiro looks like he's pushing 40.
He looks like a ladyboy.
CHO in the mud.
They're on a mission to collect as many toothless 'forwards' as possible.
I suppose it'll flummox those responsible for the Operation if we bring in people with an already poor goalscoring record. They'll have to try and go for the full emasculation surgery like they did with Torres.
Yeah this Gordon transfer is one of the most baffling in a long time. The lad tries hard, but then so did Lee Cattermole.
Having offloaded Timo Werner, then I guess he'll be doing the same job as him (running fast, not scoring) for presumably less wages and more potential upside.
That's what I'm telling myself, anyway.
He’s good at progressing the ball and pressing, which is basically all managers care about these days. Although like most other Chelsea attackers he isn’t very good at progressing the ball into the net.
Who needs goals if your players run far. I feel Kenya and Ethiopia are big untapped markets for top level footballers.
Chelsea's ostensibly scattergun transfer policy is reminiscent of the start of the Abramovich era, so I guess the main question is who is going to be the Mutu of the current crop?
Offer for Gordon looks like it's being accepted, unlucky Waff.
£70m offer for Fofana (£60m + some impossible add-ons apparently) rejected.
Tuchel’s trolling.
I'm a twit
Forest have signed a 29 year-old for €5m then sent him on loan to Olympiacos. This Greek bloke is definitely up to something dodgy.
I stand by my original statement: if they don't stay up this year, they'll be in administration in League 1 in 5-7 years.
Marinakis is absolutely a dodgy bastard but splashing the cash to try and not get relegated isn't indicative of someone that's going to pull the plug and run if it goes tits up. It's no different to what Villa, Wolves, Sheffield United, Brighton and Leeds have done in recent seasons.
Nobody that's gone down in the past decade has really drifted into the abyss like you suggest, it's a lot harder to do now that you get given £100m odd in parachute payments. Most immediately challenge for re-promotion.
Loaning a new signing straight out to the owner's other club isn't suspect at all, Brighton do it about three times a season with USG, City do it with Girona, Watford have constant comings and goings from Udinese etc. This Korean guy is almost certainly a work permit thing.

I take your point, but work permits aren't really an issue anymore. Since Brexit and the fact that now everyone (not just non-EU) needs a working visa, the rules were relaxed quite significantly there. There's no doubt that Korean guy could have worked here if that was their intention.
Norwich just managed to sign a random Brazilian and an even more random Chilean. That would never have happened with the old rules.

Actually you're probably right given that this new guy has 50 odd caps for Korea and has been signed from a French club, but I'm sure Brighton loaned Kaoru Mitoma straight out to Belgium last season because he wasn't eligible under the new rules.
Just googled and found this points-based system transfer calculator.
Watford must be in all sorts of trouble if daddy is having to boost the bank balance.
Isak to Newcastle doing the rounds.
