In the 2011 when we had a once in a generation flooding inland the news kept going on about that there was an inland sea of flood water in central Queensland the size of France and Germany combined.
That map definitely helps with that claim.
Never seen one of these inflatable things before. If you could get a few more fans in it's the future.
No idea where to put this but has anybody seen a better trophy than the Korean baseball one?

That whole picture is peak Korea.
I just hope it's a tradition for the winning captain to bellow BY THE POWER OF BASEBALL as he lifts it.
Lifting your material from Football Weekly. Shame on you.
They will be shouting something like DINOS FIGHTING, YEAH!
To be fair, Football Weekly have lifted it themselves. The sword pictures do the rounds every year after their championship game or whatever it is.
Yeah I was a little surprised I'd never seen it before.
Didn't realise you had ties with The Group, Ian. My apologies.
Ian is the originator of the group.
It was originally for real ale chat but now it's all tee heeing and talking GS down.
#group'sgone
Is it called The Grout?
I'm a twit
Why do their uniforms have holes on the armpits?
Today I learnt that Luc Longley is the brother-in-law of Ben Elton.
How random.
Makes you think.

That's some 2006 shit.
I've been reading about the battle of Tannenburg (Germany vs Russia in WW1, nowhere near anywhere called Tannenburg) and it has the usual WW1 insanity but with the added fun of bicycle units and orders conveyed to troops through leaflet airdrops. But the most mental thing about it is the commemorative coin the Germans minted to honour the fallen (ie starved or clubbed to death by Russian artillerymen who had run out of ammo and sharp implements) which features Paul von Hindenburg completely naked murdering a bear with a giant sword.
They could have given him a larger member.
They've been extremely kind already on the body shape but they did include a roid belly I'm almost certain he didn't have.
It took place in August, he's dressed for the season.
Small dicks were seen as preferable in the classical world, as most of the statues will attest. Not sure if it's because they were all paedos or for some other cultural reason.
That's why I always describe my body type as "classical" and if they take the hint so be it.
Some local kid died unexpectedly earlier in the year, and it became a bit of a good mourning story in the city. People raised a load of money for treatment/his family to spend on a big gypo funeral, and this is the grave:

At least they'll have no bother picking it out.
From the shot we have there it looks as though Ronald is lying in state.
That's positively dignified compared to Archie Battersbee and Azalea Cain's efforts. Do the family get pissed at the grave on the regular? Chav standard apparently.
There're some pretty gaudy headstones in the big cemetery my Polski grandad is buried in, but they're pretty sweet and evocative - quite a few Cov City crests and the like. That McDonalds one is pretty legendary though, especially as it seems like it's surrounded by proper solemn, old school headstones.
The Soviet missions to Venus. Hardly ever talked about, but the complexity and success is pretty awesome.
Yesterday I learned about Troposheric Ducting which we seem to be getting a lot of here at the moment.
And look, someone's made a real-time map of this weird and annoying phenomenon.
Why didn't I know about this when my mum caught me watching BabeStation?
It seems to have wiped out most of the non-core channels off my freeview tv guide thing, but they are still there if you just put the channel number in.
You'll be glad to know the adult section was still intact, and a lot easier to access as all of the channels north of 5 have been husked out of the guide save for the CBBC/Cbeebies ones. At this point I suspect this tv is just a bit shit, which seems to be a prevailing theme with modern smart tvs, I guess they must be made out of the most ludicrously bare minimum materials/components imaginable.
No aerial gang whaddup
I'm a twit
My new house, and the rest of the neighbourhood, all have old massive aerials on the roof with ports in every room. My previous house was a new build so I never had such shenanigans. I've taken all the ports out and plastered over them, but getting up on the roof to take down the aerial is going to be a right cunt. I was thinking I'd just leave it, but it seems the birds enjoy perching on it so my patio is covered in shit.
All my television is through the internet now, and surely it won't be too long before everyone's is.
Even Sky doesn’t need a dish now does it? Streaming era in full swing.

If you've decent internet. I'm 2 years running off a 4G sim in a router.
I found out about this yesterday because a relative of a workmate is heading out there to work on its construction and earn silly money. I've just read up on it and it's absolutely batshit.
I know someone who is employed in this country doing PR for that. I can't think of a more sell-out shill job than that and I told him so, he didn't even deny it.
I remember seeing the video for it and thinking how shit it looks, but it'll appeal to people who love Dubai and all that bollocks.
Sounds great.
Linear city sounds like something that would either come from the mouths of or significantly aggravate the crackpot brigade.
In October 2022, Shadli, Ibrahim, and Ataullah al-Huwaiti, of the Howeitat tribe, were sentenced to death when they refused to vacate their village as part of the NEOM megaproject.
The line is separate from Neom right? They wiped out a bunch of people who didn't want to make way for that too, then MBS lost his shit because everyone wanted a street plan while he didn't want streets at all. I'm assuming it will all be covered by the desert in 10 years like most of that big dumb airport they started but only ever used one tiny corner. You'd think it was all a big con if you hadn't seen what they've done (and plan to continue doing) to Mecca.
Maybe you should have written your cv in a single line on one long piece of paper.
I was also wrong about the airport, it's Dubai and apparently they thought they needed this (one runway of the planned six has actually been built) rather than say, a sewage system.
Seen the Starlink satellites train fly by last two nights in a row.
